The Preserve Resort sits at the highest elevation of any resort in the area, so you’re sure to have the best views of Wears Valley. Resort amenities include an outdoor pavilion featuring a stone fireplace, rocking chairs and stunning views of Wears Valley. The Preserve Resort also offers a chapel for a Smoky Mountain wedding.
Only a few minutes down the mountainside from Appalachian Villas 2822 to the peaceful side of the Smokies, the picturesque town of Townsend offering endless number of ways to enjoy the outdoors and dining options. Spend the day on the Little River tubing with River Rage featuring 3 river routes that you can ride again and again. Stop over at Cades Cove Cellars for taste of local wines and artisan gifts.
Head over to Pigeon Forge and Sevierville for a day of shopping and attractions. Stop at Lid’s Dolly Factory Store to get your own elegant patchwork quilt and take a wander through the Shops of Pigeon Forge with many name brand stores. Play a game of mini-golf at Firehouse Golf featuring 2 courses with waterfalls and ponds. Catch a show at The Comedy Barn for a good laugh or one of the many offered at the Grand Majestic Theater.
Meander down to Gatlinburg for mountains of family fun! Ober Gatlinburg is an amusement park and ski area that offers an aerial tramway from downtown to their mountain side of fun with year round ice skating, alpine slide, mountain coaster and chair swings. Stop at one of the many Ripley’s attractions that offer entertainment for all ages. Have dinner at Greenbrier Restaurant for fine dining and ideal atmosphere.
Being in the foothills of The Great Smoky Mountains your exploration possibilities are unlimited. Pack a lunch and head out to Cades Cove for the day. Auto-tour the eleven mile one-way loop with stops marked along the way to experience what early settlers to the area would have endured. Stretch your legs with a hike along one of the numerous trails beginning within Cades Cove. In early spring don’t miss out on the synchronized fireflies, one of the only places in the world to experience this phenomenon.
