Lovely summer cottage in Sjötorp nearby lake Vänern and Göta Kanal

Nearby Göta kanal, in Sjötorp, one of the most beautiful and well-known tourist
destinations in Vänern you will find this unique house from 1914. The house has a history
of previous cinema in the society, but has during the year, carefully been renovated and
is now a summer cottage with all amenities. Here you can enjoy barbecue in the
garden or a good meal in the combined dining room-living room of 90 square
meters (and 6 meters in height!).

In Sjötorp it is easy to activate yourself. Biking along the canal, take a ride with
one of the passanger boats along the canal or into lake Vänern, play mini golf, boules,
or beachvolley, or take a walk in the nature. You can swim at the beach in the society.
There is several dining posilities. Both food store and several restaurants and
cafés. All within 500 meters from the house.

An absolutely stunning house which myself and three sons loved. We cooked in the spacious and brilliantly equipped kitchen, danced to LPs we played on the record player, played boules and watched movies on a night. Swam in the lake and drove to a national park an hour away for a wonderful hike. In my opinion the most beautiful house we’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommended

Wonderful Stay at a Charming Holiday Home in Sjörtop, Sweden

Our stay at this lovely holiday home in Sjörtop was truly fantastic. As two families—four adults and three children aged 12 to 17—we felt right at home thanks to the cozy, stylish interior and thoughtful furnishings. The house has a unique charm and is filled with natural light, making it a welcoming retreat for everyone.The layout offered plenty of space for both adults and kids to relax and enjoy our time together. The peaceful surroundings and beautiful nature were perfect for family activities and outdoor adventures. We highly recommend this house for a memorable getaway in Sweden!

Beautiful property

We were delighted with this property. Very friendly and helpful owners, nice quiet location just a short walk from the lake and facilities of Sjotorp (not a big town by any means but small shop, few places to eat and drink, bike hire etc.). Property is spacious, bright, comfortable, well maintained and extremely well (and generously) equipped. Plenty of outdoor seating options, depending on time of day and very good wifi (which the children were particularly happy about). We would not hesitate to recommend.

Lovely Sjötorp home.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely old property. The lounge/diner/kitchen is a huge space yet the way it has been zoned gives a cosy feel to the separate seating areas. Sjötorp is a perfectly nice small town and we enjoyed cycling and jogging along the Göta Canal and local hikes in the forests. The darts board on the shed door provided great entertainment and brought out Grandad’s competitive side when had a family darts competition. Had the weather been kinder we would have made more use of the outside area, but we were happy to enjoy the large indoors space.

Perfect stay in Sjötorp

We had a great stay at the perfect house of Hanna and Eddie in Sjötorp. The house is really lovely, perfectly equiped and extraordinary tastefully decorated. You can follow the sun around the house and find a seat on one of the large tables... The Götakanal, the Lake with the harbor, the playing ground etc. and bike rental are within a short walking distance. Hanna and Eddie are not in Sjötorp themselves but are really caring that everything is fine and are available for questions any time. The recommendation for activities helped a lot to have a perfect stay at the Vänern in Sweden. It will not be the last time that we were there. Thanks a lot

Super Urlaub, super Unterkunft.

Tolle Unterkunft von der man zahlreiche Aktivitäten starten kann oder einfach den Garten beim grillen genießt. Das ließ auch das schlechte Wetter und den Regen vergessen. Liebevoll eingerichtet und genug Platz für 8 Personen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Vårt andre opphold i dette fantastiske hus, som hver gang overstiger våre forventninger! Gangavstand til alt, mer enn nok av plass, både inne og ute. Høy standard på alt som fins. Velutrustet, praktisk, rent, ryddig og organisert med masse plass i tilsammen tre kjøleskap. Og ikke minst, en herlig interiørmessig stil jevnt over, som gir feriefølelse idet man kommer inn døren.

Sublime propriété dans un environnement de rêve

Impossible de résister à l'effet "wow" lorsqu'on pénètre dans cette maison : l'espace gigantesque, la déco chaleureuse et authentique, le confort de chaque pièce, l'équipement très complet de la cuisine, le soin apporté aux espaces extérieurs... Toute la famille a adoré son séjour à Sjötorp qui, bien que paisible, ne manque pas d'activités : balade à vélo le long du canal, randonnées, très bons restaurants à proximité.

Magi från början till slut!

Jag kan verkligen rekommendera detta boende!!! Jag fastade för bilderna men verkligheten överträffade bilderna! Vi var ett kompisgäng som cyklade vid götakanal och bodde i huset och alla gick in i det med orden ”wow, nej stopp jag måste fota lite först”. Dialog med Hanna har varit super enkel och tydlig! Tolles Haus am Göta-Kanal

Schönes großes Haus mit reichlich Platz im und ums Haus. Toll her-gerichtetes und gemütlich eingerichtetes Ferienhaus mit großen Terrassen. Freundliche und zuvorkommende Vermieter , die mit Rat und Tipps gut zur Seite stehen.

Ein liebevoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus in der Nähe des Vänernsee

Ein sehr schönes Ferienhaus mit vielen kleinen hübschen Details liebevoll eingerichtet und zahlreichen gemütlichen Sitzecken im großen lichtdurchfluteten Wohnraum sowie draußen im Garten. In der Küche ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht und es macht Spaß abends gemütlich zusammen zu sitzen und die ein und andere Schallplatte aufzulegen. Das Haus ist schön ruhig gelegen am Ortsrand nicht weit entfernt vom See.

The perfect choice

We spent three nights at Hanna's and Eddie's Summer Residence in Sjötorp. The booking procedure was perfectly simple and extremely well arranged by Hanna. Upon arrival we were welcomed by a personal dedication and additional information from the landlords. The residence is in a perfect condition, you see the owner's attention to detail everywhere. The house offers enough place for two families. You can absolutely rely on the pictures you see on the website.

Wir - zwei Familien mit Kindern zwischen 12 bis 17 - verbrachten hier zwei wunderbare Urlaubswochen. Das Wetter, das Haus, die Umgebung - alles stimmte! Wir unternahmen viele Ausflüge mit dem Fahrrad entlang dem Götakanal, mit dem Auto nach Mariestad, Läckö Slot, Karlsborg, Hjo und haben uns nebenbei in dem herrlichen Haus prächtig erholt. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen: 4 Schlafzimmer, ein schönes Bad, zusätzlich eine separate Toilette, eine tolle Küche, in der wir jeden Abend zusammen gekocht haben, ein riesiger Tisch im Zentrum des "Wohnzimmersaales", Hifi, Fernseher, Spielkonsole - alles in einmaligem Wohnambiente. Sehr empfehlenswert!

We arrived in Sjötorp after an approx. 3 hour trip by car from Stockholm Arlanda airport and stayed in Hanna's and Eddie's house for one week. Upon arrival, we were amazed by the size of the combined living-dinning-kitchen "room" which appears to be even larger than already expected from the pictures. We were also very positively impressed by the cleanliness of the house upon arrival, the comfort of the beds, the overall furnishing of the house in general and last but not least the good internet connection. All-in-all, we find that the descriptions of the house are very accurate representing the actual situation very well. Communication with Hanna was very easy and pleasant and hence it is a pleasure for us to recommend this place to others.

Wonderfull holidays in a spectacular holiday home

We spent 9 wonderfull vacation days in this spectacular summer house in Sjötorp. Once an old cinema, it is now new renovated and gives space for an extended family. We were only in pairs and enjoyed the big space only for us very much. The furniture is young, aesthetical and in a very good condition. You can everywhere notice the owner's love for industrial design. The house is very comfortable and clean. The beds are good and even suitable for people with back problems as me. There is also a big garden with nice garden furniture. The contact to the owner was very kind and obliging, always struggeling for our personal comfort. At our arrival a bottle of good redwine was already waiting for us. :-) The surrounding nature with the lake Vänern and the Göta canal is very nice and gives possibilities for rest and a lot of different activities as well. We made many trips by bicycle or car and were lucky with the weather. Our highlight was the celebration of midsommar in Sweden. We recommend this summer house for 100 %!

Sommar 2014

Ett mycket trevligt boende i Sjötorp. Huset är stort och rymligt med närhet till slussarna i Sjötorp. Perfekt för ett större sällskap. Bra utrustat kök. Till och med micro. Bra information från uthyraren och enkel kontakt via mejl.. :-) Vi är mycket nöjda med detta boende. Närområdet bjuder på många bra aktiviteter och sevärdheter. Vädret gjorde att Sjötorp, Götakanal och Vänern visade sig från sin bästa sida.

Sommerferie

Et perfekt sted for småbarnsfamilier! Stor plass inne og ute, grill, leker, stille og rolig nabolag. Vi har kost oss i sjøtorp med bading, god pizza og minigolf og vært i Mariestad, samt skara sommerland. Flott interiør i huset.. :-)
