This newly renovated guesthouse in the Santa Monica Mountains is located on a quiet accessible walking street in Topanga Canyon, just steps away from hiking trails in Topanga state Park.

The studio apartment boasts a well-equipped kitchen with full refrigerator for plenty of storage, an induction cooktop, microwave, Breville electric oven and an outdoor gas grill. Have your dinner on a private redwood deck and patio, shaded by coast live oak trees. This rental has oak hardwood floors, walk in shower and all new fixtures throughout. Quiet A/C and heat with private guest parking space included.

Enjoy easy access to many local beaches and endless mountain trails for hiking and biking in Mediterranean climate conditions. Malibu and Topanga Beaches have world-class surfing conditions. Site seeing, restaurants and tourism abound.

Charming and clean with a comfortable queen sized bed, this 220 square foot space with private deck is perfect for couples. Use of the grounds with over thirty oak trees makes for a delightful getaway or stop over while traveling.

We provide maps and advice regarding hidden beaches and locations in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, Malibu Creek State Park and access to Cultural activities in the city of Los Angeles.

Megan and Jon were so accommodating. Made sure the place was clean from any pet hair (my wife's allergic), and they even let us use their beach chairs and towels. We had a fantastic stay. Five stars.

Lovely stay with local hiking

We stayed for a couple of nights. Quiet neighbourhood with friendly hosts and dog. We walked to Topanga state park so great to leave the car behind for a day (although a very short drive with lots of parking if preferred). Place was very clean and we liked the deck.

Relax Under the Oaks

Nestled under a canopy of live oak trees, this smartly designed dwelling provides a perfect getaway from the bustle of LA but with easy access to the coast. Megan and Jon are gracious, helpful hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay.

Peaceful escape from the city

Our hosts, Megan and Jon have created a wonderful little slice of heaven located in beautiful Topanga Canyon. We spent a long weekend there. It’s more than just a place to stay. It’s an experience! It’s like a studio apartment that is completely separate from the main house. Very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The patio/deck is exceptional. Megan and Jon were very warm and welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Communication was great prior to our arrival. We can’t wait to go back again. Highly, highly recommend!

Very clean, comfortable studio guesthouse. We stopped at the nearby market for some food to eat in. We had good breakfast at both TLC and Cafe 27. Convenient location for visiting Malibu and Santa Monica.

If you want to escape from the city and feel like you are truly on vacation this is a wonderful place to stay. Gorgeous drive through the canyon and a peaceful neighborhood. Everything is just as it looks in the pictures. Bed is comfy - shower is nice and big and the kitchen is well stocked. Outdoor seating is private and so tranquil. Hosts are very helpful and kind. The Guest House was exactly as presented in the pictures, but even the pictures don't quite do it justice as to its coziness, cleanliness, and details! The deck area was a wonderful place to relax in the evening. I wish I had more time to explore the property, but my friend and I had so many things we wanted to do while visiting the area that we just didn't have the time. Topanga Oaks was a great location, close to many beaches, Topanga State Park, and downtown Los Angeles, but tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the area. The owners also provided lots of information about things to do from dining to recreation and were responsive to questions both prior to and during our stay. It was such a neat area, we truly could have spent a few days just exploring the things to do off the main road to the VRBO! As a native Delawarean who had never been to the West Coast, this was the perfect place to stay to get a taste for the variety that southern California has to offer! I highly recommend it.

Ideal mountain getaway

This studio is exactly as described--no disappointments. Quiet, comfortable in all respects, immaculately clean and modern. The mountain air is a real treat, and something I wasn't expecting. Breathtaking views just steps away. This was my first visit to SoCal, and gracious hosts Megan and Jon were very helpful with suggestions before and during my stay.
