The Nook is a stunning property: cosy, historic and very comfortable. The living room is large and the fire place is stunning. The low beams and original windows add to the magic of it. The kitchen is modern and well stocked with everything you could need whilst there! The dining area at the end of the kitchen is excellent and looks onto the secure garden. The bedrooms are very comfortable with two doubles and one single. One double is in the modern extension and is upstairs from the kitchen. The other two rooms are in the original part of the house. The bathroom has a large corner bath and a separate walk in shower that is very powerful which is always welcome! The whole cottage was spotlessly clean. There were lots of candles, both real and LED ones, which helped make it cosy on a night but came in very useful when there was a powercut because of a storm. It added to whole magic of the cottage! Hursley is a lovely village. The butchers and village shop are excellent. The Kings Head is an exceptional pub with superb food. The other pub, The Dolphin, was nice but we didn’t eat there. The village is in a great location between Romsey and Winchester and their attractions. We would definitely stay here again.
