This cozy home had a cute western theme. We had a slight hiccup with the bathroom, but Kim quickly resolved it. The shower and heater were nice and hot during the cool nights. We had a great time! Thank you.

Ah, the city turned the water off in the entire area for maintenance somewhere for a few hours in the morning- I can't take credit for solving that :)

WORST HOST
On the 3rd day of our stay the kitchen was infested with ants, when I requested a refund for 1 day, the host called me names and refused. She came and set ant bait, the infestation got worse! We were forced to stay to wash the towels as per the agreement. We rented a hotel for our last night! NIGHTMARE!!!

It is unfortunate you created an ant trail by the last night of your stay by putting many types of food and drinks into the garbage without being in a garbage bag- they were provided.
But saying you would give me a "terrible review" if you did not get a "full refund" for the "entire trip" and a "good review" if you did get a full refund, and my asking you, "Do you know that is extortion? And it is not allowed" is not calling you a name. To which you replied "yes, I don't care" says it all.
And the way you allowed me to think there was an emergency in the inbox but then would not respond to inbox several times, nor text, so as to force me to call you -so you could deliberately attempt to exhort money.
You continue to be untruthful. I typically have great guests.
The property is located in a bad area of town, the house is slowly falling apart: drawer pulls are loose or not screwed in at all, the beds are hard and extremely creaky, we had to call in because the shower did not work. (The shower issue was fixed rapidly.)
The rules are draconian.
We did not feel welcome, definitely not "at home" on this property, too many rules, uncomfortable to borderline unsafe neighborhood and the house was very dark (not allowed to open the blinds). It was our worst VRBO experience by far.

Guest argued days before arrival about the house rule of no other people allowed on the property; ie their local people and their friends too, who live "two blocks away" not being able to come for nightly dinner parties. Then caused three trips to the house, a broken off shower knob, then a broken kitchen drawer handle, then locking themselves out.

Good value
We don't stay at rental houses much. There must be some people who trash them, from reading all the rules. We don't trash them, and the assumption that we would without being threatened was demeaning. I guess owners have to protect themselves.
I was in town for work, and this place was great! More room at half the price of the hotel that I had been staying at! Loved the hardwood floors! My only complaint is that the alarm system is really touchy, but the host is working with ADT to adjust that.

Lightning and Alarm
The home, overall, was comfortable. However, the home is not in the best neighborhood and the entrance/exit to the home is not well lit. It is pitch black at the entrance/exit which is the back door. I expressed my concern to the home owner, and she advised that she had never received that complaint in 7 years. Also you can't close the master bedroom door tightly without the alarm going off. The door wasn't even slammed and the alarm went off.

I received several positive comments from this guest during their stay. Along with a last-minute request after check-in to have an additional local guest stay; a child. And then also, a request to stay additional time. More lighting was suggested, I advised there is a spotlight that shines on the door, it was misplaced and at the side of the house. I was not contacted by the guest that the alarm had gone off.
It was nice, just wish there were TVs in the other bedrooms bedside just the living room. The outside lights were very deemed once it got dark. The water pressure was very low in the shower. Just small suggestions. But would recommend it to friends and would stay again.

Ah, just saw the review, the lighting has since been added. It isn't the water pressure, must be the showerhead. If I had known I could have put in another.
House was just what we needed to attend our son's Family Day and Graduation from Basic Training at Fort Sill. The house was easy to find and was in the middle of anywhere we wanted to go eat and for shopping. The house was completely equipped with everything we needed and it was rather close to the base.
The only drawbacks were... In my opinion, there needed to be more lighting at the back entrance, shutting the king bedroom door continuously set the alarm off, and washing the towels was an inconvenience and kept us there 2 hours longer then we needed. The neighborhood is a bit rough, but with the alarm system and being military; we weren't worried.
This was a very clean property. Manager was very helpful, even with my commute there. Couldn't have had a better location to visit Fort Sill for my daughter's Army graduation!

Small, but quaint
This property comfortably sleeps a family of 5. There are only a few amenities, but for sleeping and refreshing between outings, it is perfect!
It has king and queen size beds. Fun SW decor . Home is older but met our needs. The shower head needs to be changed to have more pressure.

Beds-hard and rickety
House smells strongly of air freshener throughout
Pots and pans in disrepair
Grill broken
Broken blinds throughout
Greasy dishes and kitchen
Bathroom closet smells of feces
Shower not adequate as water pressure Isn’t sufficient for installed shower head.
Front door locked with no way to unlock, against fire code and unsafe.

As previously stated, this home is for vacationers, business travelers, and not for parties for local residents.
Location was good. Close to grocery stores and dining. Not too impressed with neighborhood. Lots of people walking streets and close to two apartment complex. Very close to I terstate. Easy access to Cracker Barrel also. House was good. A little old, needs new kitchen cabinets. Stove was small, but don’t let size fool you! It cooked pizza and food wonderfully!!!! Kim was always fast in responding to my texts. Had a bit of problem getting into house with the code and the whole system but finally figured it out.
Kim was excellent to work with. The house was warm and inviting and had plenty of room for the 4 of us. It's close to base and and restaurants and anything else you may need. Kim is very informative and will help you in anyway that she is able. I'm beyond happy with our stay and so glad I chose it over a hotel. My boys ages 19 & 17 really enjoyed the sleepers and the T.V. and they are nice sized because one of my boys is 6'4 and had 0 problems. My MIL enjoyed her privacy in the queen bedroom and I enjoyed the pillowtop in the king bedroom. The extra touches like the luggage racks, extension cords, hangers in the closet and a fully equipped kitchen (which we made dinner in 2 nights in a row) really put this home over the top. The price is unbelievable too. Kim puts everything on the fridge for you including and emergency numbers you may need. I give Kim's Cowboy home 5 stars and recommend it to anyone.
I enjoyed my stay in Lawton! My soldier liked having a place to just relax and catch up with his family. Easy access to Fort Sill.
