Great family place

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. This was walking distance to public beach access. Drove to Johnson beach. Hung out at the pool and lots of space for our granddaughter to play. Loved the vibe on the place overall. Quiet house style setting but close to all the things

Great location and property

My husband and I stayed for a week with our 8 year old. There was more than enough space for us and the property itself was fantastic. The outdoor pool was so nice despite the water being cold (we visited in April so that is expected) and the indoor pool was a bonus as well since that pool is heated. We enjoyed having restaurants in walking and driving distance. The onsite tiki bar was also fun as there was nightly live music.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I would not rent this unit again. It was 80 degrees when we walked into the unit and it reeked of dog. It did not feel clean, carpet on the staircase was dirty. It did not feel like a home away from home, the unit itself is not well kept. It's clearly a rental and has been for some time.

Parking lot needs to be grated. Sofa was old & stained. Could not sleep on sofa bed. The mattress was only 2” thick. Place should have slept 4 not 6. The stairs were awkward with several turns. Having to strip beds & carry garbage 1/4 mile to the dumpster should be included since you pay a hefty cleaning fee, it should be less. Pool extremely cold, hot tub extremely hot. Kids were insupervised. They were jumping off the bridge & rocks into a 3 foot deep area. Cost was good but considering what we had to do.. a bit high

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. The sofa bed is as comfortable as one would expect for a sofa and, in most cases, our vacationers use it primarily for the kids, not adults. The floorplan of the two-bedroom condos here at the Purple Parrot are all the same; living, dining, kitchen, laundry and half bath downstairs with two bedrooms each having their own full bathroom upstairs. In all vacation rentals here in Perdido Key guests are asked to take out their trash, strip the beds and leave the thermostat at a reasonable temperature on their way out on the morning of departure. There are two large dumpsters here at the resort near the front of the complex, away from all the condos; we sure wouldn't want them close to any of the condos. The cleaning charge is to clean the condo i.e. floors, bathrooms, kitchen, laundry, etc. in order to ensure that the property is brought back into good shape following each vacation. Yes, please expect that the outdoor 5000 sq 150,000-gallon pool is cold. The indoor pool is cool in the summer and warmed in the winter. Yes, please expect that both hot tubs are hot. Yes, please expect kids to be at the resort as we primarily attract vacationing families. This condo has proven to be one of our most popular and will surely have many repeat guests in the coming year. We hope to have you back at the Purple Parrot Resort as one of those returning familes.
