About this property

Cattle and horses at Lundstedet at Skovsgaard

Located on the edge of a forest in the middle of a protected natural area, you can wake up to grazing wild horses and cattle in the farmyard, which live in the natural area all year round. From the house, you can explore the Langeland landscape and visit Naturdestination Skovsgaard, which is part of the Danish Nature Fund's nature areas. The perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and a unique opportunity to become one with nature.

The house is characterized by red lattice windows and a front door. Inside, you are greeted by beautiful wooden floors and a cozy kitchen with a dining area where you can enjoy your meals with a view of nature. Light the wood-burning stove and settle down with a good book, or take it with you on a trip to the protected meadows.

The area around Skovsgaard offers 400 hectares of hiking trails in forests, meadows, and beaches. You are also close to Skovsgaard Naturdestination, which is worth exploring. All this makes your stay here an unforgettable experience.

It is very important that all pets are kept on a leash when in the wild grazing area. As Lundstedet is located within the wild grazing area, pets must be kept on a leash at all times.

Please note that it is your own responsibility to park at Lundstedet. Wild cattle may rub against cars due to itchy fur, which can cause damage. If you do not want to risk this, you are welcome to park on the beach outside the wild grazing area or at Skovsgaard's main car park, KÄgÄrdsvej 12.

Charming house. Worked out well for two adult couples. Having a car was a big advantage for grocery shopping in Humble—the nearest town—and for visiting Skovsgaard. It was nice to have cows in the yard for breakfast.

A lovely location and a lovely house with everything you need. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were fences and gates around the house so you can park inside. That makes things much easier. One thing that would have been nice is if the windows had been washed. It’s a shame to look out at countless cobwebs and various bits of debris when the view is such a big part of the experience.

Your house is absolutely beautiful—and we enjoyed the beach and the amazing wildlifeâ˜șïžđŸ™Œ However, we do have a few things to mention about the house: The floors were very cold, and the air was damp—towels, dishcloths, and other items just wouldn’t dry at all!😅 It would be nice to have some proper wine glasses, smaller bowls for breakfast, and lids for all the pots—the largest pot is missing a lid😊 We also noticed that there were no teaspoons and one wine glass missing
.. The toilet tends to run very easily, with a lot—and I mean a lot—of water, and the kitchen sink has a very powerful spray, so it splashes everywhere 💩 The comforters and mattresses smell musty—is the house heated in the winter? At least 16 degrees would help đŸ„° We were very happy that you put up a fence around the courtyard—we think you should mention that in the information you send out😊 Thank you for a wonderful stay♄ Best regards, Jane

The area has great biodiversity, and the view is fantastic. The house is missing a toaster. Summer homes usually have one. Also, the showerhead needs to be descaled—it sprays water in all directions. Ideally, you should replace the showerhead and shower hose, as they’re very worn out from heavy use. Also, the drain in the shower is clogged—so we were standing in water up to our ankles. Otherwise, the house is perfectly fine. If you ever replace the beds, it would be nice to have two single beds that you can push together—we’d sleep better that way—we wake each other up when we move around in bed. Best regards, Ina

A wonderful location surrounded by nature. We enjoyed the company of the wild horses and cattle, and saw cranes, herons, and more. It’s nice that the farmyard is fenced in :-) The house was authentic and cozy.

Lovely house and lovely surroundings. We were lucky enough to have 20–25 wild horses stop by one evening. The bench and table set were in the setting sun. It was too heavy to move. Maybe there could be a cafĂ© table and some chairs in the barn that we could bring out. But it was a really wonderful experience 👌
