Aesthetic rural idyll in East Funen

Surrounded by fields in the heart of the East Funen countryside near the village of Bovense, this nearly 150-year-old vacation home is situated on a quiet, dead-end road. Here, couples or groups of friends have plenty of space to relax in the large, open rooms and enjoy the outdoors in the secluded garden.



The kitchen-dining area is the heart of the home. It features high ceilings with a pitched roof and exposed ceiling beams that beautifully frame the space. The decor is elegant and exudes quality, featuring beautiful design classics. Gather around a delicious meal at the rustic French dining table to the sound of the crackling fire from the open fireplace. On the first floor, there’s room to retreat to one of the bedrooms, located at opposite ends of the house.



Outside, the large terrace invites you to relax with a glass of wine in the comfortable lounge furniture or to enjoy a barbecue in the sun or under the umbrella. If you’d like to explore the area’s natural beauty, there are many wonderful places to visit. If you follow the coast toward Fyns Hoved, the route will take you through several small, idyllic villages.

A super private little house right in the middle of the fields. The yard is completely fenced in, which is ideal for dogs, etc. The house is built to a very high standard, and the outdoor shower is an absolute highlight.

we’ve absolutely enjoyed our family getaway at mette‘s + charlotte‘s place! we felt right at home after checking in – the house is very well equipped, absolutely wonderful decorated and the peaceful surroundings was just what we’ve needed for a slow and relaxed stay 🌞 mette was super accommodating and the communication was very easy. the beautiful beach is just a short walk away – there was no one else except for us and the water was cristal clear. also, a few minutes by car are two nice thriftshops worth strolling through :)

The thatched-roof house, nestled among the fields ...

The thatched-roof house, nestled among the fields and peaceful countryside of Fynen, was exactly what we were looking for. We especially loved the natural beach, which was within easy walking distance. Thank you so much to Mette for her hospitality; we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.
