We loved the place. The porch was cool. We enjoyed walking around the block and looking at the historic houses. Plenty of space indoors. It is a short walk from downtown and the musical fountain.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Emerald Lady in Grand Haven and would happily stay there again. The house had everything we needed and we easily walked to the Musical Fountain and the beach. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance, too.
The house had a perfect layout for 3 couples to stay. The location was perfect to walk into town for dinner & drinks. property was clean & decor made us feel the relaxed beach vibe we were hoping for! Jamie was very responsive & friendly. We would def stay here again.
Everything meet our expectations. We would stay here again.

Stay well,

The house was in a perfect location and convenient to everything in town. It was a great setup for our family with lots of space to gather on the main floor and sleep upstairs. We also appreciate all the beach gear available and games/puzzles. Thanks for making our visit to Grand Haven a great one!
This house was located a convenient 15 minute walk from downtown Grand Haven. The beach is a 5 minute drive! The older home had so much charm and incredible details! All appliances worked well! We would definitely stay here again!
Did not think this location was going to be a good location, but it was way better than I imagined. The house was squeaky, but really not an issue. Loved the layout of the house. Will definitely stay here again.
Great location with the beaches and downtown within a mile. Old, old home but very clean and all the basic essentials. Only thing to take note of is that it's a louder area and a duplex so you hear everything (and I mean everything) from VRBO tenants in the other unit as well as the other local neighborhood homes. Safe area and very walkable to the Grand Haven beach and eateries.

I hope you enjoyed your overall stay. Most often there are no complaints of noise during people’s stay. If the other tenants were loud I apologize. I never have a problem contacting a guest to mention they may be disturbing others. I wish I had known. But thank you very much for your kind review!
We had a great stay! The house is close to town, clean, and the beds were comfortable. Only things we wanted and didn’t have was sugar for morning drinks and a toaster. The floors were surprisingly noisy, but we knew that ahead of time and understandable with the age of the home. Also, the neighbors were locals and super friendly.
This was a great place to stay. Very clean. Comfy. Really good location. I only hope next time we come to grand haven it'll be available to rent. And jaime was great!

Thank you Allen. Your family was a delight to host!!
Great rental. Big and open. Loved the porch. Busy road which we didn’t mind but not with little kids. Really had to plan showers with only 1 but we made it work!! Had a great time.

So glad you stayed with us and made our home work for you. Thank you for taking the time to give us a review.
Close to downtown Grand Haven - Yet far enough away
The house was nice. It gave the two families enough room to be together and yet have some separation when needed (4 kids w/3 under 5).
There is only 1 full bath which made coordinated showers for adults.
Close walk to downtown and beach. Car can also be used - but we preferred to walk everywhere.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. It is nice to hear of families creating wonderful memories with friends.
Beautiful home that offers great space to lounge and relax no matter the time of the year. It is a short walk to the downtown area. As promised, puzzles were awaiting us, and my spouse and I found ourselves completing over our time spent. We really enjoyed our time, and hope to visit again!

We hope you visit again. Thank you for taking the time to give us a review!
Very good. Well located for our golf course selections. Nice walk to town. Minor issues -.
Main bedroom bed could be newer. Pillows in middle bedroom too soft (one guest actually went out and bought thicker pillow)
Parking area tight and not well kept up

Thank you for your review. I hope your golf game made your weekend enjoyable. I wish you would have let me know of any discomforts. We have different pillows in different rooms (they could have been switched) because everyone has their own preferences. But I was never given the chance to remedy the issue. As far as the parking lot……well yes you got me on that one. Being a golfer I can understand you noticing weeds. I’ll just let you know, your visit happened to fall in between 2 huge events in our family life so yes I let the parking lot get a little weedy and focused on making sure you had a clean home in which to stay.
The Emerald Lady was very clean and the 3 bedrooms easily slept my wife and I and our 3 young children. It’s conveniently located a few blocks from the beach and the downtown shops/restaurants. Because it’s such an old house, the floors and stairs do creak a lot but it was never a big problem for us. We enjoyed our time in Grand Haven at this comfortable and spacious property!

My wife was graduating from her residency program at a local hospital. We had family come from out of state so we decided to stay at this property together. I believe the house was built around 1912, it has a lot of charm and character! The location is great!, you have the lake down the road, great shopping near by and not far from Muskegon or GR. The owner was helpful, great communication and the house has a washer and dryer, full kitchen and a great front porch to watch and enjoy the neighborhood.

Thank you for taking the time to give a review. We are grateful you enjoyed your time here.
This old house was beautiful and comfortable!! Very friendly host :) Creaky floors and lots of historic charm!! Modern kitchen and bathrooms, short 10 minute walk to restaurants and bars. Parking is a little tight so be careful if you have a big truck. Otherwise you should be fine. Mattresses and pillows could be upgraded, but weren’t terrible. We were very happy and comfortable for our long weekend away!

This beach cottage was the perfect getaway. We will definitely be back for another girls’ weekend…or maybe we’ll bring the boys for a family staycation. Jamie was there to greet us upon our arrival and made us feel like it was our home for the days we were there. We were bummed to leave. It’s easily within walking distance of downtown GH. We enjoyed the charm of the neighborhood as we strolled down the sidewalks to get to Snug Harbor, The Paisley Pig, and Aldea Coffee. Also be sure to sit on the front porch and wave to passersby!
Very cute historic home with nice renovations and character. I pretty much lived on the covered front porch when we weren’t out exploring the area. Easy walk to the downtown for food/shopping. Adorable neighborhood-felt totally safe letting my teens explore the town on their own. Just a few minutes to drive to the beach. Loved my morning walks along the boardwalk to the lighthouse too. Jamie is a great host and when we got locked out (yes-really so embarrassing!) she was quick to respond and sent us help to get in the house quickly. We cannot wait to return to GH and would not hesitate to book this rental again.

Perfect Girls Retreat
We were able to stay at this adorable property for a much needed girl's weekend. The space was absolutely perfect, plenty of room for people to sleep and we loved how the kitchen opened up into the dining room, that opened to the living room. We could all be in different rooms, but still be spending time together. Not to mention the most perfect porch. We spent each evening on the front porch, wine in hand, just catching up. If there was anything better than the space, it was the location. We were able to walk to and from dinner, wine tasting and anything else we did downtown. If we couldn't find something downtown, then it was just a very short drive. We loved our stay and would absolutely stay again!
