This lake house cabin is just as cozy as I remember the first stay here being. Perfectly tucked away on waterfront property with all the amenities you could dream of for the perfect weekend get away. We were able to go explore the outdoors of the UP while returning to a comfortable house. We love this cabin and will return next time!
Great location and view of the water. Worked well for our duck hunting trip. Be careful with the Adirondack chairs by the fire, they have been rebuilt and are a touch sketchy. Easy access in and out. Exactly as described. Great host.
The house was clean, had plenty of room and was stocked with what we needed. We enjoyed sitting by the lake and the fire pit. We would stay here again!
What an incredible week we had! There was so much provided. Very clean and nicely laid out cottage on a beautiful spot. We will definitely be back! Thank you
We had a wonderful week here! The cabin was a perfect getaway. We spent some days at the cabin watching the lake, sitting on the dock, identifying birds, and taking the boat out into the bay. On other days we drove to Pictured Rocks for a beautiful hike, we saw the Soo Locks and took a boat tour, and we also went to cedarville to hike the “Narnia Trail” and others. We also had drinks and ate at the distillery. It was wonderful!
We enjoyed our beautiful stay on the Munuscong Bay! We saw wild turkeys with 10 babies every day, many times in the yard of the VRBO! We saw juvenile bald eagles in a nest just off the drive every day too, and we are pretty sure they launched from the nest during the week we were there! We found plenty of sights to see off the property, too, including a boat tour of Pictured Rocks!
We have stayed at this cabin before. My family and dogs love this place. The cabin and property are so peaceful and secluded. Its a great place to unwind.
The lakefront cottage on Munuscong Bay allowed my family an excellent opportunity to enjoy the fall colors and spend a relaxing three days together. The cottage is well maintained, and the owners are excellent hosts! Thank you so much for having us at your beautiful cottage!
There were plenty of supplies and the place was well cared for. The weather changed from hot to cold, Michigan fall, and we were comfortable the whole time. My family and I really enjoyed our time there.
Beautiful sunsets and water that went from blue to green to brown (when the winds picked up.)
The cottage was a perfect size and had everything we needed to be comfortable.
Would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a place to stay that is a convenient distance to many of the highly be rated sights.

We spent a week here and were sorry to leave. It is clean and cozy. We caught some fish off the dock. We used the row boat and grill daily. It is so quiet, you feel like the only ones down this road. Would highly recommend!
Great stay at wonderful cabin on the lake! Very secluded and quiet surroundings-felt like we had the whole lake to ourselves. Weather didn’t cooperate perfectly, but still got into the water with swimming at the beach by the dock and plenty of fishing. Countless perch were caught off the pier with a few pike as well! The cabin worked great for our family looking for a secluded piece of paradise on a lake!
This place is serene, private and filled with beautiful views. We had a family of wild turkeys that visited twice a day. A doe and her two fawns every day and a bald eagle often! This is the quintessential cottage experience. And yes, that does include bugs, but we didn't find that difficult. We swam often and had so much fun. Read the descriptions provided by the host. They are completely accurate and we were grateful for that. We will definitely go again and can highly recommend this place! Enjoy!

My husband and I have two boys; Robert (15) and Jack (12). I grew up in the UP and my husband is a native of Georgia. We ended up in NC and have lived there for almost 20 years.
Why they chose this property
We love NC, but are drawn back to the UP a couple of times per year to vacation and visit family. It has always been our dream to have our own vacation place in the Eastern-UP. We bought "Off the Hook" in 2017. It needed a lot of work and it took us over a year to get it in shape, but the view and the sunsets made all of the hard-work worthwhile. We decided to offer it as a vacation rental, so that others could enjoy it, too.
