There are some lovely nearby walks to enjoy, following the public footpaths, the riverbanks of the Cain and Vyrnwy, and the shores of Lake Vyrnwy. For keen walkers, you’ll also be within easy reach of the Clwydian Range and the long-distance Offa’s Dyke Path. For shopping and eating out, the market towns of Owestry and Welshpool are within 10 miles. Nearby family days out/attractions include the National Trust’s Powis Castle and Garden (11 miles), with its magnificent Italian and French-style floral displays, and the heritage steam trains of the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway (9 miles).

The holiday home is warm and inviting, with traditional, country-cottage decor and striking original features. Many of the rooms enjoy peaceful views across open countryside. Enter the property into the welcoming lounge/diner, where you’ll find a collection of comfortable seating set around a warming wood burner with logs thoughtfully provided and neatly stored in an external log supply. This room is also home to a large dining table for hosting dinner parties and special occasions. The farmhouse-style kitchen is equipped with everything needed to cater for large groups. Just off the kitchen is a handy cloakroom and fitted shower, toilet and basin - ideal for freshening up after a day spent exploring the surrounding area. When day turns to night, head upstairs to find four inviting bedrooms, all with neutral decor and traditional wooden furniture. Choose from two double bedrooms, a single bedroom, or a bunk bedroom that’s ideal for children. Rounding off the first floor is a refreshing bathroom featuring a relaxing bath and separate shower.
