This was a very peaceful and convenient location, very accessible and well connected to shops, restaurants,facilities and attractions in this beautiful area. The house was clean and very well supplied with all our needs. The only improvements would be more working space in the kitchen and a walk in shower but these would be difficult to achieve with the available space. Overall this is an excellent holiday cottage and we throughly enjoyed our week here. Pierre and Shetland were always kind and helpful and on hand to help when needed without being intrusive

We are very happy you like your stay in " Les Hydrangeas" in Varengeville sur mer. For your 2 remarks : In 1 ) For working space in the kitchen, you have a complement previous to put on induction hob when you don't use it . It's a plank with 4 feet. With this complement you can cut and prepare food . May be you don't see it . In 2) For bath-room, we have make choice of bathtub with shower system and protect's glass you open . It's a mixed system. You have choice : you can use bathtub only like a bathtub or like a shower. You have an handle on wall to facilitate entry in bathtub. Hope we see you a new time in "Les Hydrangeas" . It's will be a pleasure for us . Good continuation for you .

This is a lovely cottage, well equipped and extremely comfortable and clean. Our hosts were at hand but not obtrusive. We had not seen them during our stay, but went to say goodbye when we were leaving. We were invited in for coffee and a chat. I wished we could have stayed longer, Pierre and Svetlana are a very pleasant couple and obviously take a great pride in providing a good experience for their guests. We could not leave a review without mentioning the garden and the outside space. It was truly magnificent and a lovely place to relax and unwind. The area is quiet but well placed to visit quaint little villages and every close to the coast. All in all a gem of a find!

Beautiful house, beautiful garden, beautiful village

Lovely cottage, very well presented and practical. Great location, a quick walk to the shops and restaurants in the village, and close to rhe beach. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable indoor and outdoor seating areas. Highly recommended for couples or families. Thank you for a great stay!

As charming as promised.

Comfortable, impeccable lovely cottage in a very pretty village. A great place to start excursions to Dieppe, Etretat, Rouen or just relaxing in the garden. Good hiking at the doorstep. Hosts provided great local knowledge. The library is well equipped.

Beautiful house and garden

This house is very comfortable and the garden is so lovely. The owners are very kind and they thought of everything when furnishing the house. You feel very private and the garden is enclosed. We had a lovely holiday here. Varengeville-sur-Mer is a beautiful and quiet village with (one of) the most beautiful beaches of Normandy.

Our third visit - and still as good as ever

This visit to Les Hydrangeas was our third, and we hope to stay in this lovely little house with a beautiful garden on more visits to come. Pierre and Svetlana are delightful, welcoming, and helpful hosts, and they have provided a perfect "chill-out" place to stay. Varengeville is a charming village, with many interesting nearby places to visit, and it's just 15 minutes from "le shopping" in Dieppe. A huge bonus is that there are now 3 restaurants in Varengeville - the Auberge du Relais (5 min walk) Le Bateau (6 min walk) La Table D'Elka (8-10 min walk, depending on stiff joints) All are excellent, and very different from each other.

A lovely escape.

This is our second visit because we enjoyed it so much last year. Varangeville is a beautiful village and the property is set in a wonderful garden and is very private. The area is great for cycling, especially the Route de lin which is a dedicated walking and cycling route. The house is immaculately clean and well equipped and the garden is a joy to spend time in. This was our first time using VRBO and visiting France as a family. We are very particular and wanting space, quiet moments and ease. As soon as we arrived in Normandy and saw the surrounding villages we knew we were in for a treat. It only got better as we got closer to Varengeville-sur-Mer. The house is situated down a beautiful quiet lane and the last house. Utter bliss. The gardens are just exquisite and well equipped with every corner of the gardens a place to sit or use sun loungers. The owners really have thought it through well. The first morning I got up early and visited the nearby Boulangerie. WONDERFUL. Staff are lovely and were gracious enough to excuse my Bridget Jones attempt at their language with many charades in-between. Useful Supermarche next door too. That’s as busy as you want this picturesque village to be. We spent nearly every evening at lovely Plage Petit Alley. Our 2nd day we caved to pressure from our children to eat frites from a seaside van in Dieppe. The rest of our week was hard going with severe food poisoning. Our hosts gave us fresh towels and bedding and insisted on giving us “miracle water”. One glass, 30 minutes later and my husband went from white to a slighter more normal colour. Pierre and Svetlana are wonderful people. They live in a neighbouring property but you wouldn’t know. They are discreet and there only when you need. We have already recommended this slice of heaven to others and look forward to visiting again! 5

Peaceful stay in beautiful surroundings

We had a fantastic short stay in this spotlessly clean, well equipped house surrounded by beautiful gardens. We have stayed in many houses in France over the years and met lots of lovely owners but honestly, Svetlana and Pierre are our favourites! They are close at hand; were really helpful throughout the booking process and I’ve no doubt would have been equally helpful in person if we had needed them. The truth is though everything is so well organised that we didn’t even see them until about 10 minutes before we left, when they arrived with a gift and good wishes for the journey home. It was such a relief NOT to have that awkward guided tour on arrival, as if we couldn’t recognise a bathroom without help. It’s always our least favourite part of a Vrbo booking and I wish more owners adopted the approach of Pierre and Svetlana. Special note for any Brits staying here. As you know, the number of things that we do better than the French have been dwindling over the years. By my calculations the only thing we have left are ‘a more corrupt government’ and ‘superior pillows’. Hopefully the former is about to change but I fear the French are never going to grasp the joys of a rectangular, firmer pillow. Take your own! :-)

Les jardins et la maison étaient absolument magnifiques et charmants. L’environnement est très paisible, et l'emplacement était parfait pour découvrir les alentours. Nous avons particulièrement aimé l'église Saint Valérie, avec sa vue spectaculaire sur la baie et son très paisible cimetière marin. L'accueil était parfait, nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable!

Tolles Ferienhaus mit einem wunderbaren (!) Garten! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit den netten Vermietern (wohnen nebenan) war problemlos. Ganz sicher werden wir wiederkommen!

Magnifique cottage dans un écrin de verdure et de fleurs au calme et non loin de la mer. La maison est splendide et dispose de tout le confort nécessaire. Les hôtes sont discrets mais très prévenants. Un très beau séjour à Varengeville-Sur- Mer. A recommander chaleureusement.

Die Unterkunft ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt und der Besitzer war sehr hilfsbereit. Der Garten ist zauberhaft, auch der Ort ist sehr schön. Es ist super ruhig und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es zu Fuss zu erreichen.
