As our guest, you'll have private access to over ten miles of rolling hiking trails, ranging from easy walks to more challenging treks. Along the way, relax in hammocks, swing on tire swings, or explore peaceful creeks. Your adventure begins right below your treehouse!

Our Story & Dream Come True
Our treehouses are built from a lifelong love of nature. As children, we dreamed of having treehouses of our own—crafting imaginary homes from branches, moss, and stone.
In 2007, we founded EarthJOY Tree Adventures, where we guide people to the tops of trees. It was only natural to build a place where they could stay among the branches, too!
In 2009, we trained under Pete Nelson in treehouse construction. In 2017, the Aliyah Treehouse was born. In 2019, we built our third treehouse—crafted by my husband, Bill, using wood from the land itself.
Each treehouse is a labor of love, a piece of our dream, and now—a magical escape for you.

Property was amazing, nestled in the rolling hills of northern KY. Any of the three tree houses will not disappoint and the hiking trails were fantastic (and a workout). All the amenities you need to rest, relax and recharge.

Great mini-vacay!
Our family of four +1 (two adults, three teenagers) had a wonderful get-away at the Aliyah Tree House. It is exactly as the pictures show but BETTER in person; very serene. We were able to visit some interesting sights using the suggestions that are provided in the tree house book. Our kids loved taking the van on the ferry to go to Ohio and we all enjoyed antiquing and hiking and swimming in the gorgeous Kentucky State Parks. Having the Aliyah house to come back to after our day trips was a bucket list item checked off!

Awesome experience.
First of all Shelley and Bill were amazing to work with. All my questions were answered promptly!
We stayed in the treehouse with our three grandchildren and did the tree climb with Bill.
Everything was fantastic.
I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting a special time with family away from the noise
of life.
We will be back.

My husband and I went to the Aliyah House for our anniversary and to be off the grid. What an amazing time we had. The host was fabulous and the facility made us speechless. If you love the outdoors and want to be off the grid for just a little bit, then this is the place for you. We will be back.

Exactly what I expected:)
Aliyah treehouse was an amazing experience! More than we imagined. The highlight was the suspension bridge between the living quarters and sleep paradise. 5 out of 5 stars for us. I have never felt closer to nature and our host, Shelley, made sure that everything was perfect! Thank you for the hospitality. I want to tell all of my friends, but I also want this place all to myself! Thank you for everything!

Omg the beauty!
So ever since I seen the silly show that makes treehouse. I have been obsessed. So when it randomly popped up in an add on my Facebook and I saw it was close to home. I knew this adventure was for me!! It was like staying in a tiny fairy house in the woods. It was cozy and the weather was prefect for our little girl's trip! I'm so appreciative of the little farm and the memories made. We are definitely booking again for a bigger girl's trip this time! 😍

Great location, awesome little retreat!
A weekend with nature and friends!
As our first night there caught people coming straight from work, we decided on snappys pizza for dinner instead of cooking. It was worth the curves and the drive, as we saw the most beautiful bright double rainbow over the country side, it seemed to start where we were and stretch to the treehouse area!
We knew at that point our weekend was going to be a good one!
The following morning,
We got our exercise in while looking for hobbit houses and the Treepods.
The fire pit was big enough to accommodate or large group for conversation, and cooking.
We took a screened canopy that was great for setting up with our table for cards and games, the ground isnt level, but we made it work.
The treehouse and snuggle hut, was well stocked with essentials, and Was as described in the listing. We were very pleased, and are already talking about returning next year!
It was an amazing weekend, with friends in an amazing little treehouse!

Bamba great to hear you loved the adventure to the pizza place, the rainbow, playing card games outside, the tree house and the trails and more importantly will be back!! We want guests to know this tree house is for 6 people and there is plenty of sit room for 6 inside, on patio and around the fire. This particular guest had 10 and they chose to set up an additional canopy to play cards. This is not necessary for 6 or less. We also want guests to know there is a pizza place closer and you can call ahead to first stop gas station in germantown. This is all written out in the tree house manual.

Great little spot, fun accommodations, pay attention to the guidance!
Mother nature did not cooperate at all, so we did not get to fully enjoy the area. The area was beautiful with lots of trees and rolling hills.
There are some inconsistencies in the documentation that tripped us up, but we adapted (like there is no charcoal and lighter fluid). Ordered $50 in wood for the fire and didn't get to use it (see Mother Nature above), so that was disappointing!
Accommodations were fun and comfortable. Definitely roughing it (at least for us) with no electricity or running water. We did have a mouse get into our sealed food so be warned.
Bathhouse was ok for a quick shower/clean up.
And they are VERY serious about four wheel drive. With the rain we had, if we had anything other than our SUV, it never would have made it out. SUV did fine. My Mustang wouldn't have made it out in the driest of conditions.
We'll definitely have to come back sometime when it doesn't rain for two days straight! Recommending to friends and relatives!

Great to hear you made a go of it and was able to adapt despite weather. It says so much that you will recommend us to your family and friends and will come back yourself.
We also want to take time to let guests know about your other comments. There is charcoal in cupboard and lighter fluid in the outside bathroom closet so apologize you missed that and we have moved that to inside the treehouse on bottom shelf.
As far as wood goes it is very clear you can bring your own.
Yes we do recommend a four wheel drive. That is clear in our description. Although if you are experienced country road driver a car with front wheel drive will make it up the hill just fine. I do not recommend driving your mustang down or a sport car however you can park at top of the hill and use the nice big tired wagon we have on site to carry your things down. That was also in the welcome letter. It is about 300 feet on gravel road. We also recently re-graveled.
Also want guests to know if you can't find something don't hesitate to reach out to the property manager. Her phone is listed on the welcome letter you receive and that has always been clear to reach out if you need something. We can't help you if we don't know. We want guests to have a great experience.
We did a extra seal up around the tree inside since your stay and added extra deterrents and have not found mice since.
We also added a battery to the treehouse that charges up phones, turns on artic air or fan and connects to lights. We also want guests to know there is a three gallon tank of water inside treehouse for your use.
Thank you for your feedback this treehouse is brand new and it helps us make it a better place!
Easy checkin and necessary amenities made treehouse living a breeze. Challenging but well groomed hills made trails manageable for young kids (4&7). Creeks, tree swings hammocks all seemed a perfect an often timely compliment. Would recommend to anyone who doesn’t mind a little excersize and some time unplugged.

Amy great to hear you had lots of fun adventures! Augusta is a must! We also want guests to know that yes the compost toilet that is a 5 second walk outside your treehouse does not have running water.
However you do have your own nice bathhouse about football field away that does have sink, toilet, running water and shower.
We agree too It's a great idea to get out of your comfort zone and experience off the grid living
Who wouldn't want to stay in a tree house? This is an incredible destination for people who want to get away from everything, including the ground. You stay in the woods, sleeping in the tree tops.
The property was immense, over 200 acres to explore, trails to hike, and things to find. They also have a tree climbing experience if you want to climb. The property was very clean. While there is no power at the tree house, there are batteries available for charging your cell phone, a generator for A/C if you need it, plus battery powered fans and lights.
I couldn't recommend this property enough, and look forward to another get away there.

Fantastic treehouse
This little treehouse was simply adorable. The trails were nice and very clean. There wasn’t even a wrapper or any garbage anywhere on the property. Impeccable.
Which we found to be ironic at the same time because the only complaint we have about the entire experience is the lack of trash cans. It made it a bit more challenging to do the trails if you want to take some beverages along with you cause we had to carry a separate bag for trash. Also having to take your trash with you was a bit of an inconvenience as well. But other than that this place is exactly what we wanted. A nice little get away from the chaos and some piece and quiet. Would definitely recommend!!!

Melissa we loved hosting you! Thank you for choosing us and happy to hear you found peace. We want guests to know that garbage cans on trails are not a good idea. We follow the rules pack it in pack it out. We have nature, and wild animals throughout the property so it's important to keep it as natural as possible. Just as other parks do not have trash cans on trails. We also ask guests to take their trash out of the treehouse and place it in the rumpke garbage can located by the bathhouse for another good reason it draws ants and other critters in between guests. Thank you for your input as we do love suggestions and make changes to enhance others experience and gives us the opportunity to educate our guests on our reasoning for certain policies and rules.

Amazing Treehouse
We had a blast staying at this treehouse. I brought four kids aged 3-8 and they absolutely loved it here. It was like a little kid paradise. They especially loved the bridge to snuggle palace. My dog loved being able to run free through the woods and eat all the sticks he could possibly find. It was truly a magical experience and I would definitely go back. Also, the owner of the property was super friendly and available for questions or concerns along the way. This was our first tree house excursion and we have decided that we are going to create a bucklist of all the tree houses in the US and travel to at least one a year. So much fun and worth the money. Thanks for a great time.

Best Experience ever!!!!
Been alot of places but this was a Wonderful Experience. The treehouse is well built, very cozy and well supplied.
The "organic toilet" was fine. Owners are fabulous. We loved Bill's primitive class.
Upon entering through secure locking gate, bath house(clean & has electric/heating) and farm house are first. Going down hill is 1st cabin built by Pete Nelson the 2nd cabin is below that. Private and easily accessible. We had a fun fire pit area with fire. The area has hiking with maps and searches.
We had no electricity and loved it. We didnt miss this at all bc we talked, played games, talked more..
We ventured to Augusta but like Maysville Ky. We loved the Rual King shop and Capronis resturant.
We had 3 glorious days in our treehouse.
If your looking for a Wonderful experience, choose the Earth Joy treehouses. It's truly wonderful.

Awesome Family Retreat!
We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend at the Aliyah Tree House! Everything was as described, with great instructions for use and well stocked supplies. We enjoyed hiking on the property (watch out for the massive inclines!), playing games together in the tree house, and hunting for "critters" outside. When asked, all 3 of my kids (ages 7,5and 3) say that catching toads was their favorite part and they would like to have stayed for another year. ha! Shelly stopped by during our visit and it was wonderful to meet her. Her excitement and love for the property and tree houses is obvious and makes the experience that much more meaningful. I came away from the weekend with a renewed spirit and we can't wait to try the Aliyah out in another season!

Hi Megan! Great to hear it was everything you were hoping plus some! It was great meeting you and your family! That is always a highlight for me. As far as your description of "massive inclines ". It is important to note to guests that the 200 acres offers variety of trails that range from very easy to challenging. This of course depends on the person. As one person's view of challenge can be laughed at by another. You will get a map of the property with the trails marked as beginner, moderate or challenging. One challenge is at the end of the Hobbit treehouse trail you can opt to take the steep hill back or go back the easy way and the challenge is part of the red heart trail. You can opt to climb the hill or go easy and take the level route to the cabana village. Our guests love that the property offers both beginner and advanced trails.

Creatively designed and so much fun!
This was a magical weekend for our family. The owners are wonderful and left games for us to play. The swinging bridge was so entertaining-my boys (husband included) played on it for quite awhile. There are hikes on the property and a map in the house to show you the different places to go. It’s charming and we cannot wait to go again!
