West End Pool & Amazing Views 2 BR/2 BA Condo Enjoy the Trade Winds Vacate Well


The Views is an exclusive 6 unit private and individually owned complex with incredible Caribbean and reef views, private pool, parking, garden and rooftop palapas and a great location near the beach, dining and nightlife area of West End.

It has ocean views (including of the sunset) and the interior has all the luxuries of back home. It is a good walk uphill (about 10 minutes though not all is uphill) and upstairs (it is on the ground floor but there is one flight from parking level to the pool and another from the pool to the buildings) but the views are worth it. If you would rather not walk, there is a scooter rental place in West End that rents for about $180/week (sometimes cheaper during slower times).

The condo is located in Sunset Villas, a quiet safe neighborhood in West End. The condo is less than a 8 minute walk to the main strip of West End where you will find shops, more than 20 restaurants, dive shops, bars, a beach, world class snorkeling, and more.


West End is unique like a Jimmy Buffet village, think Margaritaville, where there are bars and restaurants all along the main road right on the Caribbean, what other Caribbean islands were like 40 years ago, a true tropical paradise to be enjoyed.

This is a well-appointed new 2 bedroom condo at The Views in the Sunset Estates area of West End. This unit has a commanding view of the Caribbean and is 500 yards up from the beach and main area, West End Road. Guests will really enjoy the comfortable tropical Tommy Bahama furniture and the deck to enjoy the constant trade winds of the Caribbean. Each room has a separately controlled air conditioner if ever needed as the trade winds blow throughout the condo. The average annual temperature on Roatan Island is 85 degrees F/29 degrees C so you can wear your shorts day and night. Roatan is one the top dive destinations and the snorkeling is excellent too.

The condo itself is a 2 bedroom 2 bath layout. Open concept Kitchen, Dining and Living area make this a lovely location for 2 couples or a small family. Guests are able to use the guest bathroom without having to go through the bedroom.

There is even a Caribbean view from the pool!

One of the best spots is the large deck area that overlooks the pool and also has a view of the Caribbean sea.

Although not necessary, we recommend renting a vehicle for convenience and exploring the island of Roatan.

The Views is 20 minutes from the airport.



The rate does not include electricity. Electricity is quite expensive on Roatan. We found that including electricity in the price made people want to get their money's worth by leaving the A/Cs constantly on at full blast and every light in the place on. Not only is it eco unfriendly, it meant we had to tack on an extra $270 / week to the rental rate. So instead of charging fees for laundry, A/C , and so forth, it is easier and fairer to charge to for electricity instead. We read the meter at check-in and check-out and use the previous month's bill to determine the rate.

Assuming there are 4 people in the condo and you turn the lights off when not in use and only use the ACs in the bedrooms at night, the electricity should be between $10 - $15 / day.

We enjoyed our stay at the condo. It had everything that we needed and it was a perfect size for my son and I to have our own space. We spent lots of time on the porch and in the pool. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed for a month. The unit was perfect. The only draw back was the huge hill to walk daily but it actually gets easier after the 10 day period. The host was great getting back to us about anything. Would recommend it for sure

Roatan 2025

We had a wonderful time in Roatan. The views are amazing. The pool was very clean the condo itself could use an upgrade. The things that could be improved are basically creature comforts. The dishwasher (advertised) did not work. The cutlery was not a set the forks had one dinner two salad and a number of dessert forks. There is not a kettle (we were told that not a big thing on the island). We found numerous kettles in the hardware store. The living room suite is wicker and the cushions are in desperate need of replacement. We were there during tropical storm Sara so we were in the condo much more than we usually would be Even with all the above we would definitely consider returning to this condo complexColin

Amazing Place

My husband and I booked this unit last minute after another rental fell through and I am so happy we did. It was fantastic. I was a bit worried that the hill would be hard to walk but most of the walk to West End is flat. There are two small hill and the entire walk is about 7 minutes. The condo is huge. Super breezy. Great ocean views. Comfortable mattresses and what looked like all new towels and sheets. Most rentals have crappy pillows. These were nicer than my ones back home. The place was spotless! There were even spices in the kitchen. We will definitely be back and we already recommended it to friends who booked it for next year.

Beware of renting this condo, the pictures are out-dated. We left the next day after arrival.

Rented condo from Jan. 7/23 to Feb. 4/23. Moved out Jan. 8/23. We contacted VRBO January 8/23 after reviewing the photos we sent them of the conditions of the condo they moved us to a hotel. Then to a new condo, for the month. Rented many places through VRBO and on this Island and never experienced anything like this. Condo's smoke detectors are all missing. We arrived and found water on the floor by the water cooler and fridge, only 3 hangers, there was blood on the balcony floor, the patio doors were dirty, the safe was not working, no iron, the water was cold, we had to plug the water heater in and it arched. Stove top is awful, the patio screen door tapped with tape and not working, the walls have been repaired with a roller of white paint in areas, walls are yellow, cushions on the living room furniture are all torn. The exterior of the kitchen cabinet dirty. We contacted the host from arrival asking for a few more hangers, told Caroline there was water on the floor, she replied I just checked the unit and it was fine, probably from the other guests check the cooler. The water was coming from the fridge, because our food was defrosting. She said the blood was probably from a small cat. Hope it is ok. The safe was stuck open, with no lights, she told us she sent a video in an email and replaced batteries, there was no light on the unit so it was not working. When we mentioned the iron and board she left a fairly nasty message on VRBO. These items are all listed on there list of belongings in the unit. Most of the list of items are missing. Caroline's. answer to the fridge was ask if we can take our food upstairs to another unit. She also. offered a cooler never brought one over. We asked when she would be able to come to the unit to review the property she said she could not because of power outages and mudslides. We asked the neighbors and had not heard of any mud slides? We left the unit to a hotel after spending over 4 hours on the phone with VRBO reviewing the units condition, Caroline sent us a message shortly after we left the unit. The fridge was repaired and there was frost from turning the fridge up and we could of caused damage. We have all the pictures, no frost just defrosted food. she also, said she was at the unit 4 times. Well you would of thought she would of noticed no one was there. She sent as email stating the house keepers were there the following Friday and no luggage. Advice rent elsewhere. Rating 0

Overall, satisfied with rental unit

Pros: Good sized condo with all the amenities we were looking for: 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, full kitchen, washer/dryer, 5min drive to ocean and stores/restaurants, covered parking. Nice pool. Loved the view from the roof top of the ocean and skyline at sunset. Cons: AC units old and did not work very well in keeping our bedrooms cool enough after a shower when getting ready. We found ourselves quickly sweating right after our showers with the AC turned on and barely putting out any cold air. Microwave worked intermittently. Shower pressure very light. Mold noted on shower curtains, shower tile, and bathroom ceiling.

Great Condo

The condo is a bit of a walk uphill and there are stairs. Ugh. But its totally worth it. The pool is lovely and the condo is very comfortable. The sheets, pillows, and mattresses are great. Rentals usually do not have this. The bedrooms are huge and the kitchen is well equipped.

Fantastic Place

This place is great. It has great pool, super comfortable space, very nice. The hill is a pain the first few days but I got used to it. I also paid a taxi $4 to take me up when I was too lazy or hot to walk uphill. I will be back.

Amazing views

A great condo...which earned the title The Views. Lots of space for two couples. We all enjoyed the space. Used the pool far more frequently than we ever thought we would. Most comfortable bedding...and pillows ever. Nicely decorated and furnished. Wonderful neighbours and a small welcoming complex. Hey....they got us past the gate. Make sure to get a gate code....just in case your flight is also delayed! If you’re hesitating about Roatan as a destination...don’t. Roatan is wonderful and the underwater world is spectacular!

Had a wonderful vacation. Condo was as described with beautiful sunset views. Had some issues with appliances that were promptly fixed. Paper products, water, local cell phone, satellite tv service and free WiFi was included. Condo was very clean and beds were very comfortable. Condo was very spacious and large bedrooms. Was nice to have the pool within steps of the condo. Although it is about 500 yards to the beach, the only downside was the very steep hill to get back up to the condo. We had to walk to the beach and back once to say we did it. We rented a car, so this wasn’t an issue.

could have clarified 48 steps to first floor

the condo was great, other residents and guest were very friendly and helpful. My only question to Peter was "is this a first floor unit", which the response was yes, BUT, what was omitted in the response there were 48 steps to the first floor. My wife has heart issues, it was very tough for her, and caused daily anxiety when returning from the beach or dinner to then be faced with this climb. The answer Peter provided was correct, but also not accurate of the request.

The island of Roatan is a little paradise. And this place is a perfect place to stay in whilst experiencing Roatan. Being on a hillside gives you great views of the ocean - our kids loved seeing the cruise ships leave in the evening. The location on West End is great - you are minutes away from the beach, restaurants, bars and dive shops. The inside of the condo is immaculate, very nicely laid out, upper end furniture etc. We will be back!

Amazing vacation in Roatan, great house

We really enjoyed our stay at the house and had an amazing family vacation in Roatan. The house is very spacious, all rooms are large, the kitchen well equipped, beds are awesome and having 2 bathrooms was great. The kids enjoyed the pool, just steps from the front door and the selection of movies to watch while relaxing. We had a car waiting for us at the airport and a "meet and great" person took us grocery shopping for the week before taking us to the house and showing us all we need to know. We enjoyed amazing scuba diving as well as ziplining, swimming with dolphins and other adventures Roatan has to offer. The house is walking distance from downtown West End, with lots of restaurants, bars and dive clubs. Perfect location for a couple or family vacation.

Great Place To Stay!!

The home was beautiful. We had a wonderful time there! The staff meeting us was very kind and even stopped by the large grocery store on the way to the condo. Marcus met us at the home to show us around and was very helpful with local hints. We loved being able to see the ocean and watch the sunsets from the hammock on the porch. It is a short walk to West End and the beach only takes a few minutes. Walking up the hill is not bad, but after rum drinks pay the 20 lemps (1.00) to get a ride back. The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Drinking water was provided and the kitchen had everything we needed for having meals at home. We met the neighbors that winter there and they were very friendly and engaging. I can absolutly say that when we go back we will see if this unit is available. Thank you again for such a wonderful place to stay while we were there!!!

This condo was absolutely beautiful!! Everything the owner described!! The only thing I would recommend is that if you are staying over a week....make sure the Management company fulfills their obligations in terms of Water Bottles and resetting the internet code!! I would also stock up on groceries and just enjoy the view; the comfort of the condo and the view from your deck!! Thanks Peter...

Great time hiding from the snow

My wife and I just spent a great 8 weeks in this condo. This was our first time to Roatan. A representative from Roatanlife met us at the condo for a thorough orientation. We were given a cell phone to use that already had key contacts programmed in. Over the 8 weeks we had a few minor issues with a couple of appliances and the wireless internet that were responded to and corrected very quickly. There were other condo owners and renters there with us at various times. All were very friendly and helpful with advice on snorkeling spots and dining and drinking favorites. One of the owners from North Carolina gave us an extensive all day tour of the island. The pool was large enough and the water was warm. My favorite spot was the hammock on the balcony – just right for reading or napping. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need for preparing meals. Most of the food needed could be bought right in West End at one of the small stores or the numerous vegetable trucks parked along the street. Fish, shrimp and lobster can be bought from the occasional seafood vendors also parked along the street or from the small fish shop down by Sundowners bar. There are also places that will deliver food and beer for a very reasonable fee. The view from the balcony is great but from the roof top area it is spectacular. So as you are slowly walking up the hill to the condo you know it will be worth it once you get there.
