Howdy-Hello-Aloha
As I tell all, this place is like a time share,,"I did my time, now I share ,You do your time and you share".
Georgia and all with her, showed Great respect for this place and followed the "Pay it Forward" belief. I thank her and all guests that understand the belief on. "You take care of the land and the land will take care of you". Georgia, left the place just as she found and even better. With a few added Christmas items to show a time of Happiness brought warmth to the place and made me feel and see instantly, that all was good. I am so fortunate to have this place and others, for guests to see as there home in the mountains to enjoy and respect. Happy New Year and More,,Hippity hop,, Jeff
Thank You Georgia and all that read the listing and help me to have faith in sharing my places. Cheers

Thanks Ben, I appreciate you taking care of the place. Sorry I never got to meet you but I did get to see you checking out my little "Hide-a-way", I call it my Kave. The place with all the spray foam and my foamed tress or art work. It has been an amazing amount of work in the shop area but when I do not have to go there and clean up after guests it gives me a chance to get more done on my "To Do List" Thanks for putting back the security lock and lock the place up. I never remembered to check the drop box from the last guest but I will, hopefully next time there. I got down there on the 12th and wanted to get there when you were there but got Busy here at Bunnylane Cabins. I do enjoy the peacefulness of that area and the creek is just a great little experience. If you would have walked down it you would have found a picnic table and bridge to a little spot I want put in a Gazebo. Cheers Jeff
Also,, I appreciate your communication with Brent my property manager.

Liked: Listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
No cell phone service
For the price point, it frustrated me that I needed to bring linens, paper towels, toilet paper, and clean the property on my way out. If there was a reasonable alternative I would have stayed there for the same price point.

"0" stars (did not stay there) - No TV or washer/dryer...but still advertised as having them.
We booked this property but did not stay there and have filed a dispute on the credit card charge. Shortly after we arrived, (after driving 1,900 miles), we found that there was no TV service or washer/dryer.The property was, and currently is advertised as having TV and a new washer/dryer. The TV satellite dish is obvious in the photos, but the lines to the TV were cut and taped off. We would have never booked this property if we had known that. (The manager had told us it had everything you could need). The description comments also state that there's a new washer and dryer in the bathroom, but there was no washer/dryer anywhere at the property. We spoke with the property manager twice, the first time within 30 minutes of arriving, but after 5 hours, we never got any reply let alone a suitable answer. Therefore, we notified her by text that were leaving the property and would not be not staying there. She responded the next morning by text saying, "Thank you for letting me know" and that "the washer/dryer had been removed". We never did get any explanation about the TV.

I want all to know that some people just can not be pleased but life is all about trying. This guest is one of those that read a listing and then once arrived was in the nit pick mode. There is a TV or Television and below is what it shows on the listing in two places
Tape and VCR machine, Tapes/VCR's may be in cabin as brought there and left by me and others. Down load movies or music can shut down internet,
Easy chair recliner, love seat couch, rocking chair, TV/VCR, boombox
Tapes/VCR's may be in cabin as brought there and left by me and others.
This individual obviously wanted to sit around and watch Satellite TV, I do not advertise that but he sees a dish and thinks,,OH Boy Satellite TV, do I advertise that "NO" But they make satellites for internet in the mountains and that is the only way you can get internet as it is remote..But you can get a TV to work through VCR/DVD, etc. He mentioned , We would have never booked the property if we would have known that". Well , learn to read and sorry I did not show pictures of a boat setting off to the side. I am sure seeing a satellite dish means the same as seeing a boat,,OH Boy , I get to use the boat or a horse in the fields or a deer or and elk,, LOL..Things change and the horse has walked away along with the deer and elk and the boat.
When he states, "There was NO washer /dryer on the property, I just spent $15,000 plus on building a New bathhouse with the new washer and dryer relocated from the trailer bathroom to give the guests more room in the bathroom .The bathhouse and washer and dryer are approx. 15 feet from where they were on the other side of the wall. Look at the photo of the outside there is an entire building attached so I have been turning that into a place that is useful to all I choose or that ask. It was just to tight for anyone with any disabilities or even me to go into bathroom and dry off. I felt like a sardine in a can so now the bathroom has much more room and for those needing to use a washer and dryer they only need to ask and from there we have communication. Now, this individual can see the rest of the story. I did not know he left as I was on the road to go visit and let him see my new project known as "The Kave",,You can see it on my facebook for Bunnylane Cabins...Hippity hop to all have a GReat Day and many more. Live and Learn , Learn and Live..Jeff
Nice place. Information can be found in log book. If you do not want to be bothered this is the place

Charming,peaceful and relaxing
We had a lovely time at Little Bonanza! The property was well maintained and peaceful.
Jeff is a GREAT guy and it was a true pleasure meeting him.
We had a little bit of an issue at the end of our stay when we extended our stay by two nights and were then told we needed to give ANOTHER deposit and service fee which we refused of course because we had already paid a deposit/service fee. I emailed Brent(Jeff's brother) because Jeff was on vacation and left management to Brent to ask if we could pay the extended two nights in cash or check since thru VRBO we were asked to pay the deposit AGAIN but Brent said it couldn't be adjusted and we HAD to pay a SECOND deposit.
I told him he could keep the extended two nights out of our deposit(after numerous attempts via emails and phone calls trying to pay the two nights sans the deposit/service fee) and return the balance but never received anything back at all.
I'm sure there was just a disconnect somewhere or a lack of understanding but I don't blame Jeff. It would be nice to get the remainder of our deposit back though!
It'll be fun to see the review they left us as patrons since VRBO wouldn't let us see their review beforehand but I stand by my review.

"Peaceful", I like that word, and it is guests like the Singletons that understand that it is worth the journey.
I tell many that this is like a "Time Share". I did my time, now I share,,,You do your time, now you share.
I believe in the "Pay it Forward", approach and ask all to see this as there home in the mountains as I was told, "You take care of the land and the land will take care of you".
I see that with all people and have to have faith that people that come to my places away from the cities other mountains or islands will understand, "Trust and Respect".
The Singletons left the place as they found and better. The DVD player went out or was not working when they first arrived and on their return visit, they brought another and left for other guests to enjoy. Thank You,,
Then I was told of the shower spray being to low from a guest. There was an extension but one guest broke it and being a remote area, I was only able to put the spray head on. Yet, it was enough for me to order a 12" shower extension and when I went over at the Singletons, I put on a new shower extension. I just love or really like open communication and understanding that we all can only do so much and every little bit helps. I will always do my best to keep these places available but the guests need to do there part and understand, we are all sharing this planet together.
Ignorance is Temporary and Attitude is Forever
Thanks to the Singletons, they left it Perfect and I only needed to check the mouse traps under the sink.
I do not think the mice that break in, understand the rules and the electronic mouse repels might work, but the mechanical and electrical traps do,,, Just like I learned about putting a damage deposit to all my properties. It keeps people in check but it is the communication that helps keep everyone in check.
Thank You Janet and Family
Cheers to All

Such a beautiful area!!
We loved staying here for the weekend. We reserved due to a wedding nearby at the Steel Horse Inn and it was absolutely perfect. The space was great, clean and accommodating. This is not a place to sit inside and watch tv all day. If you want to watch tv, bring a dvd. The WIFI we could not get to work for our devices, but honstely we did not try too hard. We were there to unwind and disconnect! Security was great and we loved the ease of gaining access. We would definitely go back. The only downside was that the shower head is low. Might I suggest a handheld in its place? Thank you again for a lovely stay and we hope to be back next summer!

Thank You,
So many things happen and so many things to do. I am now setting up a separate satellite dish for the internet, it was/is shared with the Buck house but I learned that some use all the gigs and I need to be able to control each place separately. I was to meet the satellite installers Thursday on the 18th but they never showed. I know it is after your time there but I like people not to depend on internet for entertainment but for me it is to protect the place from the cold and squatters. I do promote bonding with family and friends through games and old fashioned communication,
I am so glad you felt at home and comfortable with what I put together and all take care of. I did have a different offset shower head but a guest broke and I just put the shower head on. I have already ordered 2 ,, one to put in place and another for a back up. Sorry I did not order a hand held unit but I ordered one that will raise it 10 inches and directional. That way it is not used to have shower wars, but that sounds fun but can make clean-up more work,, but that is your job. :)
Thank you so much for your input, I also got some of those non slip strips for the tub.
Cheers
Jeff
We are so glad you had a 5-Star stay! Come back and visit anytime!

Where to start, hhmm, how time goes bye, Someone once told me, You know when you start this, you are going to have to deal with people. I told them, "No", people will have to deal with me, my place my rules".
Some of my favorite sayings,
1. Ignorance is Temporary, Attitude is forever
2. Forgiveness is the fragrance the flower left upon the foot that trampled it into the
ground.
3. Engage brain before opening mouth
I was born and raised in this area and still growing up. I look at these cabins as my babies and my guests my children. I have done my part now my children take care of my babies and together they take care of me. Sounds good coming from someone that was never a parent, I think that would be the dream of a parent. Having children that you know are respected by many for just being what they are, everyone involved with them know they will take care of you and you will take care of them.
This reminds me of my theory on working, Surround yourself with good people, they will take care of you and you will take care of them, which will make every ones life better.
A break down of my life, high school in Buena Vista, then the Marine Corp and volunteer for every thing that came up, overseas duty, jungle survival, etc. Once out of USMC, got into construction, houses, schools, power plants, Telluride Airport, pump stations, fresh water and waste water plants, etc. Then projects in Hawaii, Kuai, top of Mauna Kea, volcano national park, Kuai missile range, then Johnston Atoll Chemical burn facility, Adak , Alask, then Micronesia, Diego Garcia in the Indian ocean and much more.
Then on my own to Russia, Costa Rica, Belize, Jamaica, Colombia, Panama, etc.
A few years back, New Zealand, couch surf, hitch hike then rent a car, freedom camping, picking up all hitchhikers and taken them wherever they wanted to go.
Life is truly what you make it, ;) Jeff
Why they chose this property
Location, Location, Location
When I bought this place I saw the potential it had, just as I see in people.
Here is part of my past and another place I bought, 35 years ago
My Uncle drove out here and said I heard you bought this boy, I said, Yes. He asked what I was going to do with it. I told him fix this( My house) place up then that one(Cottontail) and rent it out then possibly that one(Rabbit Den or Lodge) and then that one(Thumper) and I am not sure about that one(Wild Hare). I said, What do you think or see, Chet? He said , you really want to know what I see. I said , Sure. He said, All I see is a lot of work. I chuckled and after 35 years still chuckling and working.
That is why I say I did my part , you do yours. I do not need no more work.
Opportunity brought this property, skills and attitude made it where it is, now it is up to everyone to keep it going.
I traveled around the planet working, came home and worked then left again to work. People say, you are so lucky going to Hawaii, I said yes 6 days a week 10 to 12 hours a day, well, life is what you put into it and you get out what you put in if everything goes good. The Filipinos once asked me, What is your favorite beer? I said , Free beer. So they laughed and said so free beer is your favorite? I said,, hhhmmm ,"No". They asked what is better than free beer? I said . "Cold , Free beer."
I like people with a good attitude in life so if I can bring them around me , even if I never meet them I know their good attitude and positive energy will part of this place.
Thank You all for reading my words , if you come here great, just know. I created this place or brought it back to life for all to enjoy and take care of, so it can take care of all of us, I did my part you do yours. Cheers "Semper Fi", "Pura Vida", "Aloha"
What makes this property unique
Meeting other people that wanted a place in the mountains to get away from the hussel and bussel of the city, someone with similar interests and the respect as you or not meeting anyone, just relax and do whatever you want. You have access to just about everything, high lakes, trails or bushwhacking, fishing, hot springs, or the creek. Get on your mountain bike or just do some real good day hikes or morning/evening hikes, explore the historic ghost town, where you can just think about what went on 100 plus years ago.
Once here you will do as you want, plans will change and the time will slip past , so keep that in mind. Make some plans but do whatever you want, go rock hounding, rafting, hike a mountain, set and stare, a drive to to the San Dunes, the near bye hot springs, go to the local pubs and art stores in near by Buena Vista or Salida or get a broom and brush of the spider weds or pick up branches, wash some windows, play some horse shoes, star gaze at night, go for a walk down by the river and just relax. Feed your wild side , roast some marshmallows, make smores, all good this is your home in the mountains, Enjoy
