Welcome to The Tree House! Need a break from all of the hustle and bustle? If so, The TreeHouse is awaiting your arrival! Walk to Beach, Pier, Channel, Restaurants, Bars and Grocery. Park your car and do not get back in until you are ready to return home! Start your day sitting on 1 of the 4 rocking chairs and sip your coffee while you catch up on the news before going to the beach and end your day taking a shower at 1 of the two outdoor showers. Then, enjoy sitting under one of the covered porches that has decorative string lights while sipping your cocktails and catching up with your family/friends. This house is two separate full units that sleeps 10 comfortably but, can sleep a max of 12 with pull out couches. You can sleep 6 upstairs and 6 downstairs; each unit has a full kitchen, own washer and dryer and has separate entrances. The upstairs unit is the lap of luxury with quartz, hardwoods and stainless steel. It has 2 bedrooms (each with a king bed and flat screen tvs), a pull out couch in family room with tv and 2 full baths. The street level unit (great for someone who does not want to climb steps) has 2 bedrooms (one king and one queen each with flat screen tvs), a pull out couch in the family room with a tv and 1.5 baths. This street level, smoke-free cottage is great for someone who does not like to climb up and down steps. Access from one unit to the other is from the outside front or back steps. This beautiful cottage sleeps 10 but, with pull out couches can sleep 12 (extra fee applied). Also, check out our other properties at VRBO#1260330 and VRBO#487998- if you would like to rent each unit individually. The entire house would be perfect for two families who want to be near each other but, have their own space.
Spacious living and dining areas. Indoor breakfast bar upstairs that seats six and downstairs a table that seats six with a breakfast bar that seats four. Each unit has its own table that seats six on the front porch/deck. Each has two rocking chairs on each level and each has it owns swing. The shared backyard is a dream. It has a beautiful outdoor 48x20 deck that has a hand- built table that seats 12 and a gas grill for entertaining. Again, enjoy a warm cleanse in one of the two outdoor showers that are provided for you when you return from the beach. The backyard is surrounded by a 6 foot privacy fence and has been newly landscaped- it truly is an oasis. It is great for families who have children as they can play in the backyard while the parents are relaxing on the deck.
The front deck of the upstairs unit has seating for six that sits under one of the biggest oak trees on the island that helps to keep you nice and cool. The street level unit has a table that seats six.
Also, hanging from the tree is a nice wooden swing downstairs and one upstairs. This front yard is perfect if you like to sit and people watch while everyone is coming and going from the beach.
Home features WiFi, includes bath towels, linens and sheets. If whole house is rented you get 4 parking spaces, as well.
Rates are better than any hotel on the island plus you get the luxury of having separate bedrooms and your own spacious, well appointed kitchen and outdoor space!
Home is on the island and is .2 miles to the beach (walk in less than 5 minutes) and .1 mile to Banks Channel (walk in less than 2 minutes). The beach access point is access 18 on E. Henderson Street.
We always like our guests to know that this is a duplex. Our family will do our best to make the place as wonderful as we can for you! The common outdoor area is shared space between the upstairs and downstairs unit.

We moved from Denver, CO in 2002 to make North Carolina our home and we are so happy that we did. We have put much labor and love into this property and we hope that it shows as it is our pride and joy!
Why they chose this property
We decided to purchase this property as we liked that it was between the Banks Channel and the ocean (Access 18), so right at our fingertips. We have the wonderful sunsets that the channel has to offer and the beach to swim plus, it is walking distance to several great restaurants. We love that if we do not want to get in a car all weekend, we do not have to do so. Located steps off of beach access 18 between Johnny Mercer Pier and the restaurants.
What makes this property unique
The home is located under one of the biggest oak trees on the island which provides lots of cool shade when it gets too hot out on the beach. The front porch of this home is great place to sit and to people watch. Also, the front swing and the huge deck out back with privacy fence are great for entertaining! Linens for property use (not beach) are included in your nightly fee.
