Create your next memory in the luxurious newly renovated oceanfront condominium located on the ground floor.  There are unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean. Watch the sunrise and beautiful moon setting over the ocean, from your private patio and you just might catch a glimpse of dolphins swimming or the rare sea turtle nesting.  Ocean Place is a private gated community with 24/7 security and is located on the southern end of Amelia Island. You master bedroom has a king size bed with a tub/shower combo and good size open closet.  The guest bedroom has queen bed with a tub/shower combo. This unit has a fully stocked kitchen with a breakfast bar and updated appliances.  The living room/dinning room is open with views of the ocean. This unit really suited our family's needs as we were here for a wedding next door at the Ritz Carlton. We especially enjoyed the patio area with the view, privacy, and nice outdoor furniture.

New Year’s stay

Great property and location. Fireworks right outside on the beach at midnight. Very clean and excellent furnishings. Ground floor which made it so easy for access to the beach/ pool and loading and unloading. Quiet. It would have been nice to have some beach chairs.

Spacious with great location and view

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a large, spacious condo, right on the beach. We were able to check-in early and the management was nice enough to call me pro-actively to let me know the unit was ready. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking. Decent-sized living room and bedrooms. The patio is large but the couch cushions were run-down and filthy, several cushions were missing. The patio could use more furniture (possible chairs/table) especially when you see the furniture at the adjoining units. Also the patio needs to be swept, very dirty with leaves, debris. We even found items from previous tenants behind the couch. Still the patio was a nice space to sit and had an amazing view. Very convenient to have the path to the Ritz right outside. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the view as amazing, beds comfortable and we would return.

Nice place but the rental process was disappointing

The property was nicely located and the view was lovely from the back patio. We really enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings to feel the breeze off of the ocean. Dealing with the management company and the check-in process was less than ideal however. We had to book this rental at the last minute after our car broke down and we had to unexpectedly extend our stay. The check-in process was not at smooth as we had hoped. Due to our circumstances with no car and a bunch of stuff we had nowhere to go so had to wait outside the unit for a while -- we didn't expect to be able to do early check in but did expect to be in by 4pm. We ended up not being able to check in until after 4pm (which apparently they can do since you have to sign another contract that states this). If you are carefully planning your arrival time to be near 4pm, be ready for the unit to not be ready. We were also not given check-in instructions ahead of time so had no idea what the process was until the unit was 'ready' and finally after 4pm when we called they told us we were supposed to come to the management office to check-in. When we were finally able to get in to the condo we found that it had not been well cleaned. There was hair all over the floor of the bathroom and the counter, dirty bath mats, and dirt in the tub. Since we were waiting outside in the heat to be able to get into the property we also saw that the duvet on the bed was not changed or washed. This made us very nervous as we had been trying to take a lot of precautions with Covid. We understand having a busy weekend but since the cleaning person didn't arrive until after 3pm it seems like there may have been far too few staff to handle it. That said when we called about this issue the individual we spoke with at management company did respond very well and sent someone out to clean again. We found that our experiences with this company varied depending on who we spoke to. Some individuals were incredibly helpful and kind while others were not.

Anna, We are very sorry you were not aware that check-in begins at 4 pm. We are under a Government Mandate to have a 6 hour window in between guests and can't allow less than that window. In all of our documentation it does state that 4pm is not a guarantee and during the summer months we have been emailing our guests a few days prior to arrival a reminder of that. Maybe with the last minute booking, you were not aware and we are very sorry about that. I am glad we were able to address the cleanliness issue and send someone to bring the unit to an acceptable level of cleanliness for you. That is the most important thing for us as we always strive to correct anything that is wrong right away. We take pride in our customer service and are sorry you feel as though this varied depending on the person you spoke with. That is not what we would want to portray and not something we strive for at all. Please accept our apologies for making you feel this way!

This condo is priced in line with other 2 Bedroom Ocean Place units. The kitchen is fully equipped with every need a renter could have. The TV's are all new flat screens with good resolution. We have not heard any other guest complain about the bedding and one of our latest renters (in March 2021) stated in their review that the beds were comfortable. We urge our potential future guests to refer to the many other glowing wonderful reviews on this unit as they are a truer reflection of this adorable condo.

Ocean Place is great but Disappointed with Amelia Rentals

Reviewer Comments: On February 10, 2020 I called and reserved 3 units 2, 3, and 4 in Ocean Place next to each other on the ground floor, for the week of July 11-18. I was told they were available next to each other, so this sounded perfect for our entire family which includes small children. I spoke with Amelia Rentals on April 15, May 21, June 10 and nothing was said about a conflict. After all money was paid on June 11, I got an email the next day saying that they had overbooked and they were moving our stay in one of the condos to another building on the top floor. When I called that day I was first told that the unit had been sold, next I was told that someone from another unit which had been sold was moved to one of our units. Neither of these facts were true as we spoke to the people who were moved to the disputed unit. It turns out their reservations were messed up as well, but since they booked before us they were given preference. I feel that Amelia Rentals was not truthful and waited for us to make our final payment before we were told of the problem. We were compensated a small amount, but it does not replace the fact that our family did not have the quality time together that we had hoped. On top of all this a water main broke which of course was no fault of the rental agency or property owner, but we were without water for48 hours and then had to boil water for use after it came back on for the rest of our stay. The rental company finally provided bottled water almost 48 hours after this problem began. It would have been really appreciated if we had gotten it earlier. We love being at Ocean Place and all of the amenities, but I would not recommend using Amelia Rental and Management again!

We really enjoyed the stay. The condo was nice. We felt like the beds and pillows were not the best. I would say that was the only thing we didn’t love. Walk to the beach is a little long if you aren’t in great shape just because of the dunes. Pool was clean and grounds were well kept. It was cool to see all the turtles just walking around.

For someone older, getting in the shower which is in the big tub in the "master bathroom" is a little dicey. The tub wall is high. If it is just 2 people, you can use the other shower. Kitchen is stocked well enough with utensils, pots, pans, dishes, etc. Can't beat the sunrise! Quiet! Enjoy!

Great stay

Check-in was very easy, the condo Was a great place To stay with easy access to the Ritz next-door which is good to know if you are planning on attending any events there. It is a very easy walk next-door utilizing a sidewalk that connects the condo to the Ritz property. We really enjoyed the back porch and backyard for our little ones overlooking the ocean. We will plan on staying again!

Great ground floor location with water views.

We had a really nice stay. The condo was clean and nicely decorated. The outside patio and grass area was perfect for the kids to play on. The view was beautiful. There were no beach chairs or umbrellas to use which would have been nice since we flew in from out of the area. The kitchen had the basics and a coffeemaker, coffee filters would have been appreciated. The second bathroom needed repair work done, there was a broken floor tile and water damage on the vanity that was covered with contact paper, so we kept kids out of that bathroom. The master bath was spacious and in good condition although a little dated. Someone, either the owner or from the management office showed up trying to get into condo with air conditioner filters before our check out time which was awkward.

Comfortable ground level, ocean front condo.

We enjoyed our stay here and were impressed with the response we received to the one issue that we had. Surprisingly, there were no wine glasses in the condo, although there was a wine rack, wine opener etc. After reporting this to the management company we received 8 new wine glasses the same day, which was a relief since we were hosting a dinner with friends and not having wine glasses would have been awkward. The quick positive response was greatly appreciated.

very nice

Found this unit to be nicely decorated with comfortable living room and patio furniture. We found the kitchen equipped for our needs (but then we don’t spend a lot of time in the kitchen when on vacation.) Nice size closets, so you can put away your suitcases and coolers and not have to look at them during your stay. I was hesitate to rent a ground floor unit, but it turned out to be fine - we had beautiful dune and ocean views. The complex has lovely pools, as well as easy walking to nice stretch of beach.
