Beautiful Few Steps from the Sand

In the last 15 years with VRBO as a host, this is the second time I experienced a most ridiculous and falsified review. The cleaning service I am using now has been cleaning our home for the past 7 years. The cleaning company was shocked about this dishonest review. The guest checked in at 2 pm and on the next day around noon, I received a call from VRBO stating that this guest called and filed a complaint, but VRBO was not allowed to tell me what the issue was and informed me to call the guest. I immediately called the guest and left a message. I also texted her to call me back. She never called or texted me. My cleaning service is always on standby and guest has my personal phone number that they can reach me anytime. This guest never called me and stayed at the house until the very last minute of the check out time. When I arrived at the house to inspect I noticed that the guest broke stationary side of my front double door. She also broke one of the bed frames. Sofabed was ripped out in the back which was not there before. I pay my professional cleaning crew to make sure that our guests enjoy their stay. The cleaning crew also checks all plumbing and furnitures before guest arrives. I take pride and making sure that the house is very clean for guests to enjoy. Please refer to the review written on Nov 30, 2025. The guest gave me a 5 star review and told me how much she enjoyed her stay. House was in the same great condition when this guest checked in on Dec 26th.

We are so glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay at our beach house. Also, thank you for your feedback. This traveler stayed 4 nights. On the 4th late at night, the traveler texted me and complained about the toilet being clogged and asked money back. I asked him if I could go to the property, and he told me that he was outside of the house and hung up the phone on me. House was very clean, toilets were all working good, all the outlets in the kitchen were working, all lamps were working, walls didnt have any stains before this traveler checked in. Upon checking the house, I found that the kitchen electrical outlets were working, walls were clean and not stained except there was some small pen marks on the wall close to the carpet and the blinds were not broken. However, I found that the carpets were heavily stained in dirt in the master bedroom, lamp in the master bedroom was broken, and the toilet was clogged in the upstairs bathroom. I called the plumber, and the plumber spent a long time clearing with a snake and stated in writing that something hard that was not supposed to be in the toilet was clogging the toilet and I ended up replacing the toilet. I take cleanliness very seriously. House is clean and toilets are checked everytime before a new traveler checks in. This property looks better than the pictures, and bedding looks different but better because we rotate 3 different beddings on the bed and we update beddings with new ones frequently. Broken lamp was replaced with a new one in the master bedroom. Carpet was cleaned in the master bedroom and the dirt came out easily. Toilet was replaced with new ones. I replaced the refrigerator with a brand new one in the kitchen. (Kenmore Stainless steel from Costco). We have 2 newer refrigerators in this property for travelers convenience. (One in the kitchen and one downstairs.) I am always courteous and never rude to our travelers. My cleaning crew has been working with me for past few years and they are very professional and have pride in their excellent work.

I am shocked to read your review.  First of all, I have nice bed sheets, blankets, pillows, etc furnished on all 4 beds in 3 bedrooms. House is very clean and all towels are washed and appointed nicely after all guests.  You have asked me if you could check in 3 hours before the check in time and your husband and some other people had  already checked in before you arrived and called me for my permission. Absolutely no hair on the towels. We do not have mold in the bath tubs. My cleaning crew takes pride in cleaning this house. I am disappointed in how a person could depict and  write malicious reviews just out of hatred. I have many guests enjoyed staying at the house. We have a cleaning service that puts a lot of efforts in making sure that the house is clean and the linens are perfectly clean. Our beach house is exactly that, the house is located just about a minute walk from the sand. Off the kitchen deck, which is about 300 sq feet we have a panoramic view of the sand dunes. Our guests spend a lot of time ATV on the sand dunes, fishing on shore, surfing, campfires,etc. We appreciate all the guests who enjoy the beach house and the beautiful hideaway of Oceano. A place where you can go for a peaceful and quiet walk up and down the coastline.

I know the condition of the house before each guest checks in. The carpet stain was made by this guest and I also verified with this guest who acknowledged. It was a very small carpet cleaning fee that was charged which the insurance paid. Carpet was professionally cleaned immediately for the next guest. We have 3 sets of towels in each of our bathrooms. We also provide free washer and dryer for guests to use. The toaster was replaced to a new one. I appreciate that you loved the location and enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your review stating that the house was clean and other nice things about your stay. However, deck from the kitchen was accessible and perfect for outside dining and for BBQ. Only the roof deck was not allowed which you mentioned on your review. (Your review seems misleading because there are 2 decks) You are not allowed to go up the roof deck but obviously, you went up there. We have a nice dining table in the dining room which guests could eat there. The table you mentioned in your review was about the table in the master bedroom. This table is not a dining table and normally people shouldn't eat in the bedrooms for obvious reasons and for the consideration for next guests. After this guest checked out, I have replaced the old garage door (which was weathered due to house being so close to the ocean) with a brand new garage door. The outside of the house was also pressured washed after this guest checked out. This guest's review was misleading because she was not specific on which "deck" or which "table". However, I do appreciate that she mentioning the inside of the house being very clean.
