Great little place for a great price. Had everything we needed for a family if four (kids slept on the futon). Stayed 3 nights. Rental was situated close to junction between Whitefish and Columbia Falls. Would stay again in the future.
The hosts (and their sweet kids) were incredibly kind and accommodating during our trip to visit Whitefish and Glacier National Park. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed tea on the marsh on the days it didn't rain... a real treat. Thank you, Tim and Hilary, for the wonderful stay. :)
We thoroughly enjoyed renting Tim’s place. Very clean, and well stocked apartment. Literally 5 min from downtown Whitefish which was perfect to enjoy dinner each night. We stayed here to explore GNP and the surrounding area and would definitely stay again.
This property felt like home away from home. They had everything we needed and responded quickly to communication. 30 minutes from GNP. Whitefish is also a nice, small town with a lot to do with the family.
Tim’s place is nice clean place just outside of Whitefish which makes it quiet and restful but close enough to town to enjoy all Whitefish has to offer. Takes less than 5 minutes to be in downtown. Like 35 minutes from west glacier and also an easy drive. Highly recommend staying here!
This was perfect for us, easy short drive to both Kalispell and whitefish. Quiet. Well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Extra storage space with a big empty dresser and closet for stuff in the bedroom. Great price rate too. Would book again!
We had a great stay here for 3 nights. The location is solid for Glacier. It also has a great set up to make your own food with a complete kitchen and utensils, pots and pans, etc. The hosts made sure that there was everything that may be needed to cook and relax. If you'd rather eat out it's 5 minutes from downtown whitefish which has a ton of dinning options.
We thought the bed was incredibly comfortable, so based on other reviews that may be personal preference. For anyone who does not know how to use Apple TV: press any button on the grey rectangular remote to turn the TV on and you can navigate from there. If you get a blue screen, turn everything off and try again.
The property was amazing and beautiful! The apartment had everything we needed and then some. Definitely would stay here again! Super easy to access and close to everything! Thanks so much for letting us stay at your beautiful home!
Great private apartment near Glacier National Park
We stayed here while visiting Glacier National Park and it was an easy (30 min) drive to the park. The apartment had everything we needed and the hosts were communicative and friendly.
We so much enjoyed staying at the Country Getaway. The property is quiet and beautiful. The apartment has everything you would need: dishes, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, etc. There is a good amount of space so it does not feel cramped at all. Tim was helpful and available but we had our privacy as well. Whitefish and Kalispell are both very easily accessible and this is an easy spot from which to enjoy West Glacier. We also went to Many Glacier from her which was doable, but more of a drive. The only downside is that the water from the taps smelled sulfuric when we were there which I am guessing is due to being on a well. A Brita filter was provided which completely took away the smell from our drinking water so it wasn't a big deal. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit in Whitefish. The property was perfect for us and close to town and Glacier National Park. Tim and Hilary were very gracious hosts. If we come back this way, I'll definitely stay here again.
We have an incredible experience! The apartment is lovely and the bed was so comfortable. The location is great for accessing both nature and the small towns. Highly recommend staying here!
The property had a good location. Apartment layout very nice. The bed was too soft, we both had sore backs each morning. Also need better explanation on how to work the TV. Internet worked well.
Lovely, well appointed garage apartment backing to wooded open space.
This lovely garage apartment is central to everything and the owners put a great deal of thought into the furnishings and amenities! The bedroom overlooks a wooded open space making for a very restful night's sleep.
Even though this property is just a couple miles from downtown, it feels so secluded. Beautiful, peaceful setting. The garage apartment is very comfortable. Tim and Hillary were fantastic hosts.
A long overdue and huge thanks for a great stay with great people at this fun property
In July of 2019, we stayed at Tim and Hillary's property while visiting the Whitefish area and Glacier National park. While we were staying there, we had a catastrophic vehicle mechanical failure coming out of GNP. This problem required us to abruptly end our vacation, rent a car and then drive my family back home all the way from Whitefish, Montana to eastern Kansas. A few days later, I had to drive all the way back to Kalispell to retrieve my repaired vehicle. During all this trouble, Tim and Hillary bent over backwards to help us find a repair shop and get our vehicle towed in for the needed repair work. They were incredibly gracious hosts, gave me a ride to the car rental place and even temporarily stored our camping/fishing gear while I drove my family home in a tiny rental car. I cannot say enough nice things about this terrific young couple. I would give them more than 5 stars if that were possible. The world needs more people like Tim and Hillary. All this vehicle drama overshadowed the fact that we really enjoyed staying at their property and it was a great jumping off point to access Glacier National Park and the beautiful Whitefish area. We would love to find another future opportunity to stay at their place again. I regret that life got in the way once we were finally home for good and that it took me so long to leave them my review and gratitude.
I just want to thank them both again for all that they did to help us through a difficult situation.
Best wishes to you both,
Shannon and Kim.
This was a nice quiet spot to stay while visiting Glacier National Park. There are outdoor stairs that could be an issue for some but we enjoyed the peacefulness of the location overlooking a marsh to the back. Thanks!
