-Wood burning stove Located just outside the vibrant center of Athens, Georgia , this place will affect you.. like a blood moon… Corriedale Farm is rare and beautiful. The warmth and peace surround you. The animals, people, food, house and quietude come together to create a realm of contentment and tranquility that is from times past. A sense of Old World stone and wood coupled with extraordinary wine, cooking, fires and spatial openness. We raise sheep, dairy goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits and a Great Pyrenees.
The house is large with a great room and two sided fireplace. We live in the house on the upper level and there will likely be other guests in the house, especially on weekends. You have full use of the house and farm and patio and the farm grounds. This location is about 15 miles from Athens and is great if you are visiting the area for a game weekend. We have Wifi but no television in that this a quiet and peaceful place where you can rest and relax and heal.
We are a gateway to north Georgia, located less than 17 miles from the walkable college center of downtown Athens… an hour from Atlanta, great kayaking, and waterfall hikes… easy access to I-85, just 25 miles from vineyards and wineries… less than 2 miles from the historic Shields-Etheridge Farm along a shady gravel road perfect for jogging or bicycling. Our B&B is your base for reaching everything from live music to farmer’s markets to outdoor adventures and then to rejuvenate after a day of exploring

Graduation weekend base camp

Very easy to find, close to the interstate and easy to get to Athens. We had two sons graduating from the University of Georgia in nearby Athens and wanted something different for our base camp. Our group consisted of my spouse, my youngest son, both sets of parents, and me. The property was perfect for our needs, and quite a find! We loved the vibe throughout the spacious main room, with several areas to sit and dine. We spent time at the fire pit on our night of arrival. We cooked one breakfast in the ample kitchen and went to a nearby restaurant to pick up breakfast the next morning (Sugar Momma's). We will probably come back here sometime to just relax and enjoy the area. Our hectic graduation weekend plans left us wanting more. Thanks!

Country getaway with city luxuries.

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was great. Our only not happy thing was that checkout was at 11:00 and the owner needed to “pop in” at 10am....and then at 7:32 am on our already shortened last morning he asked to be there at 8:45.....we missed a last breakfast together and during this time...that counted. Facility and ambience were spot on!
