About this property
Book for summer 2020! Mountain home10 private acres, hot tub, luxury amenities!!
The Madison Mountain Oasis is an ideal home for family or friends who are looking to enjoy a comfortable, well-appointed home base while they enjoy all the fantastic outdoor opportunities southwest Montana offers. Our guests enjoy end-of-the-road privacy on ten wooded acres with stunning views, and protection from the valley winds. There are many outdoor amenities including, an eight person hot tub, a fire pit, and a wonderful screened porch with dining table, lounge furniture and hammock. This house is perfectly suited for both a group of adults or a family.
For those traveling with kids, the beautifully landscaped yard features a swing, a slide and fort, and ten acres of forest to explore. For the traveling family the house also comes with a number of kids’ toys, books, and games, a booster seat, a child carrier backpack, a portable crib, and two strollers.
Bedrooms and baths: The home has three bedrooms and two baths. There are two bedrooms on the bottom level, one with a queen size bed and the other with two twin beds. A spacious bathroom between the two rooms has double sinks and a tub and shower combo. The master suite on the top level features a king bed with large windows, access to the deck. An attached room, with a sleeper sofa for reading and relaxing or extra sleeping space if needed, leads directly to the flagstone patio and hot tub on the rear side of the house. The en suite master bath is truly a place of serenity, featuring an enormous soaking tub, river rock flooring, double sinks and a spa inspired shower with multiple showerheads.
The kitchen, dining and living rooms share an open floor plan and have a dramatic view out the large picture window.
Kitchen: This is a great kitchen for a group as it opens to the bar, the dining area, and the living room. It’s equipped with stainless steel appliances including a refrigerator, gas range and oven, dishwasher, trash compacter, toaster, coffeemaker and microwave. An island butcher block provides more meal preparation space and a bar with seating for four is perfect for breakfast or sharing stories at cocktail hour. Some nice appliance extras such as a blender, mixer and crockpot are also available. The owner is a private chef, so you can be assured the kitchen is well appointed.
Dining area: The dining table is situated under a tiffany-style chandelier and seats six comfortably. There is an additional dining table on the screened-in, covered porch just off the kitchen for enjoying outdoor meals in the perfect Montana summer temperatures.
Living room: The cozy living room has a gas fireplace, a 55” retractable flat screen television with satellite TV and DVD, a receiver connected to both indoor and outdoor speakers, and Bluetooth technology. Cozy leather club chairs and a sofa allow you to enjoy the views, the fire and a movie in the evening. The room’s highlight is the giant picture window that offers dramatic views of Ennis Lake, the picturesque Madison Valley and its bordering dramatic mountain ranges including Lone Peak at Big Sky.
Setting, acreage, and views: Not only will you be hard pressed to find a better view of the Madison Valley, but Madison Mountain Oasis sits on ten forested acres in the foothills of the Tobacco Root Mountains. On the hillside above the house you’ll come upon a lovely meadow - the perfect spot for a picnic! On your walk through this beautiful forest you might see deer, elk, moose, and a wide variety of birds.
Outdoor Amenities: With a large deck, a screened-in porch and a flagstone patio, this house has many options for you to enjoy the wonderful Montana outdoors in comfort—whether it’s coffee with the morning sunrise over the mountains, or an evening cocktail after a day of adventure. The lovely, landscaped yard provides plenty of space for games, or just lying down and watching the night sky. There’s also a cascading waterfall feature, so you can enjoy the sound of gurgling water while you relax in the hammock.
Activities nearby: Right out the front door there is great hiking and mountain biking, and within a short drive are endless trails and roads into the Beaverhead National Forest which provide access to endless motorized and non-motorized exploring. The Madison Valley is home to some of the best fly fishing in the world and this house is perfectly situated for you to enjoy it all. With only a short drive you can be on the Beartrap or Channels section of the world-famous Madison River for some of the best wade fishing it has to offer, or you can treat yourself to a guided float trip in a drift boat. There is truly an endless number of other adventures to be had in the area, including white water rafting, horseback riding, golfing, the quaint cowboy towns of Ennis and Virginia City, as well as a day trip to Yellowstone National Park. All of this lies waiting for you at the Madison Mountain Oasis, so book your trip now.

About the host

Why they chose this property
We love everything that southwest Montana has to offer: mountains, rivers, wildlife and tight knit community. The Tobacco Root mountains near McAllister offer recreation opportunities right outside our back door, while still being close to the town of Ennis and not too far from the conveniences of Bozeman.
What makes this property unique
The scope and beauty of the views from every window, the absolute peaceful quiet of the surrounding forest, and the opportunity to roam the 10 acres and miles of sloping gravel roads and trails. The outdoor living areas take full advantage of the legendary gorgeous summer weather. Over the years, we added a spa bathroom, a hot tub, landscaped yard and fire pit, and many other details to make it a truly unique and cozy retreat, and a place that continues to welcome our family in. We are honored to share it with you.
