Eastham, Cape Cod - In Cape Cod National Seashore. Walk to Coast Guard Beach
Relax, explore and take a deep breath. Bike, take the shuttle, or walk to the beach. The sound of the ocean surf will melt the stress away. Enjoy this private home, situated in the wooded Cape Cod National Seashore on a quiet dead-end road. Our home is one of only a few rental properties within a short walk of the famous Coast Guard Beach, less than a mile away. The beach shuttle operated for free for walk-ins by the Park is a very short walk from our home. We are located near the ocean, the warmer, calmer beaches of Cape Cod Bay and fresh water ponds. Easy access to the bike trails and miles of walking trails.
Our home has a fireplaced living room, spacious eat-in kitchen, huge master bedroom, two comfortable guest bedrooms, plus the family room. There also are two updated bathrooms and an enclosed outdoor shower. (Be sure to read about the outdoor shower in amenities), The generous sized family room opens onto the large deck for outside dining which comfortably seats eight. The deck overlooks the expansive backyard for plenty of outdoor enjoyment, including a fire pit. Enjoy breakfast on the front patio with views of our perennial garden and listen to the distant sounds of the waves rolling in at Coast Guard Beach.
This home has one king bedroom, one queen bedroom, a twin bedroom (daybed and a trundle) and a queen pullout sofa bed in the family room. There are flat screen TVs with cable in the family room, living room and master. Free Wifi. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. The washer and dryer are on the same level. Portable air-conditioning units and overhead fans are in the bedrooms. A gas grill is located in the private back yard off the deck.
Please note: Renters will not have access to the basement or the shed.
For your added enjoyment you will find books on Cape Cod, the classics, childrens' books, board games, puzzles, and some beach chairs.

Hosted by Bonnie and Dick Cahill
Bonnie and Dick would like to share her childhood home with you this summer to experience the wonders of Cape Cod. Her father Wally MacPherson built this home in 1950 with help of his brothers, for his wife and four children. Bonnie and Dick spent summers here with their children until they moved back to Eastham in 1992 to make this their home once again. They are semi-retired and are lucky enough to enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren who also live and work on the Cape.

Now it is your turn to enjoy Mac's Way and explore : the wooded forests, the vernal pools, climbing Doane Rock, walking to Coast Guard Beach, Kayaking through the Nauset Estuary to the outer beach, biking or driving to all of the bay beaches and ponds, Fort Hill, Red Maple swamp, White Cedar swamp, The Cape Cod National Seashore visitor's center, Eastham windmill and our new library. You can always find a variety of good restaurants, ice cream shops, mini golfing, and our Wellfleet Drive-in theater. After exploring Eastham, the many quaint towns of the Outer Cape are within a short drive.
