It also has a sofa sleeper in the living room, a futon in the playroom and an extra Trundle bed in the laundry room. The house has two full bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, play room, sun porch and laundry room. It's within twenty minutes or less of Wausau and Stevens Point, Granite Peak Ski Area, Nine Mile Recreation area, Central Wisconsin Convention Center, Central Wisconsin Airport, University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, the Green Circle Trail, and just 2 miles from Lake DuBay.
The property offers private wooded hiking trails along the Little Eau Claire river and plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities. Early spring and fall offer area kayaking, canoeing and nearby fishing opportunities. Winter offers trails just outside the door for snowshoeing, cross country skiing (self groomed) on our 109 acre private property. Access is available to the Portage County snowmobile trail system. Summer evenings can be enjoyed right from the sun porch watching hummingbirds and our free ranging chickens.
Although it's been nearly twenty years since the farm was used as a dairy farm, the barn, silo, and numerous outbuildings allow one to step back in time and imagine what life was once like on the farm. Today, acreage is used for traditional crop rotation and Christmas trees supplying an onsite choose and cut retail farm. So, depending on the season, active farming, planting and harvesting may be witnessed. If bored, you might be asked to bale hay or shear a few hundred Christmas trees (ha ha).

Regan greeted us the house. Showed us around and made us feel at home. My son enjoyed the goats and playing in barn. House had everything we needed and more. Perfectly located between stevens point and wausau.
Absolutely the perfect place for our winter girls weekend. The house is welcoming and large enough to accommodate 8people. The hosts are available but give you all the privacy you want. Our group loves to visit the barn(with white twinkle lights ),goats and also enjoy the walking trails. A sweet bonus is that the rooms have nightlights which makes it much easier to navigate in the dark. We will be back next year!!!
Farmhouse and surrounding area was just beautiful. Made to feel so welcome with a tour of the property and introduction to the goats and chickens by Regan. a perfect couple of days with a walk through the woodland trail, and will definitely be back.
Plenty of bedrooms to choose from, owner met us when we arrived and introduced us to the goats and told us about the history of the property, super nice gentleman. Nice trail to walk around the property, big barn with activities for the kids. Everything was clean and ready to go. They even had some local things for us to try a well as a couple snacks. Would definitely stay again.
Regan was an amazing host! He met us at the house and gave us a tour at check in. The house was peaceful and relaxing. We loved the space the farm provided, so our kids had a place to run and play. It was an incredible getaway! We will be back!
This was an excellent place to spend the weekend away! It was relaxing, private, peaceful, and provided family entertainment for everyone. We wanted to go somewhere for a quick before-school family trip and this fit the bill. The hosts were communicative, amazing, and went above and beyond.
Love this property, was our second time here. So much space inside and out, tucked away on a beautiful property, and the hosts are very communicative and helpful.
Had a great time with our family. Very clean, lots to do and see on the property, enjoyed the goats and chickens. Will definitely come back if our travels take us to this area again.

We had such a wonderful weekend at the house!! It’s so clean and well kept. Lots of space and so fun being near the farm animals. Regan, Jake, and Ann were fantastic hosts and so responsive! We would definitely stay here again.
This is the perfect location for a family. Off the road, yet located close enough to town. Easley accessed from the interstate. Numerous activities within a short drive for everyone. Reagen is a wonderful host with a giving and compassionate spirit. I highly recommend staying for a week.
We came because of a wedding in the area, but honestly had more fun walking the trails, feeding the goats and hanging out in the barn space! They have created a family friendly getaway that everyone was able to enjoy.
We came to the area to do some hiking, and the farmhouse was in the perfect location for our getaway. Communication with the hosts was quick and easy, and their directions were very clear. They were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Check-in was a breeze. The house itself is spacious and clean. We were greeted with special treats upon arrival—a lovely and much-appreciated touch. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we all slept wonderfully. One of our favorite parts of the day was sitting at the kitchen table with our morning coffee, watching the many birds visiting the feeders outside. The true highlight of our trip, though, was visiting the barn to meet the goats—absolutely adorable! Although we ran out of time to hike the full property, we did explore a bit and were struck by the beauty and peacefulness of the setting. It's a truly gorgeous and serene place to stay.
Friendly host, quaint locale including goats and chickens. We went to Pine Wood Supper Club in Mosinee and Era Cafe in Wausau, both nearby and highly recommended. Super clean and new bathrooms and plenty of sleeping space for our group of five.
