Sand Castle Suite is situated directly on the pristine Atlantic Ocean waters of the Prospect Peninsula, Prospect, a short half hour drive from Halifax, along the Lighthouse Route #333, on the way to the world famous Peggy’s Cove, a short half hour away.

A short drive, 5 minutes away is Prospect, Nova Scotia.

Sand Castle Suite is a one bedroom architecturally designed, environmentally sensitive, indoor, non smoking haven. In 2018 we substantially upgraded the Sand Castle Suite for $35,000.00+. The decor is “Beach House or Coastal Style”.

Guests have a private entrance to the 700 square foot Sand Castle Suite. There is one bedroom with a queen size bed, bought in the spring 2018, from which you can view the ocean through floor to ceilings windows in front of bed.

Additionally there is a 54” fold out futon and an armchair which folds out to a single sleeping unit, both bought in the spring 2018. Sand Castle Suite can accommodate a maximum of five people.

We offer a well equipped kitchen, there is a brand new countertop, a brand new sink, full size 24 inch fridge/freezer, under counter bar fridge, coffee maker, a 4 slice toaster, a large convection oven, a microwave oven, and 2 large convection countertop oven/fryers.

Breakfast ingredients are provided in the Suite for guests to make their own breakfast.

There is a spacious living room and dining room.

There is a Heat Pump keeping you toasty warm in the winter, and cool in the summer.

We have newly refinished wood floors, a private covered deck, propane BBQ, full service cable television, stereo radio, super service wifi, CD player, and a air tight wood stove.

We feature our own private sand and stone beach, 125’ wharf, where you can sit and watch time go by, and Frank’s Boat House, with a deck, for your use. It is only 75 feet from your door to the crystal ocean waters of Shad Bay.

We have a concrete block fire pit installed in August 2020, so you and your guests can go down and use it, at your convenience.

Our water is treated and inspected twice yearly. The Sand Castle Suite is outfitted with fire, smoke and CO alarms for your safety.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Paradise in Prospect Bay

This B&B was perfect! We spent our days exploring Nova Scotia, then back to what felt like home. The evenings spent on the deck by the water watching the sunset was just what we needed. We really enjoyed staying at the Sandcastle B&B. The suite is beautifully decorated and so comfortable. The view from the bedroom in the morning when you wake up is so pretty. So nice to wake up to an ocean view. Clary and Cheryl are ready to make your stay enjoyable.

Amazing sunsets

We had a wonderful time at Sandcastle Suites. The location was perfect for us to visit family and see the sights. The owners couldn’t be more accommodating to make out stay a memorable one. Stunning property but what we’ll miss the most is the peaceful surroundings, enjoying our coffee in the morning and wine in the evening watching the amazing sunsets. We truly hope to return again.

Bayside suite in beautiful home

Excellent accommodation in a great location. Our host Clary was friendly and accommodating, going out of his way to greet us and make us feel welcome as we arrived quite late due to car repairs. The place is nice and quiet. There are a lot of stair steps to negotiate from the road down to the guest suite on the lowest level, so if you have a lot of luggage, you’re gonna get some exercise.

Oceanfront Paradise!

We recently stayed at Sand Castle Suite during our first ever visit to the east coast of Canada. It did not dissapoint! The property and the suite are so lovely! It was the perfect location to get to many interesting places, and a very short drive to halifax. Clary was very attentive and a lovely fellow to talk to. And the deck looking at the bay was my favourite place for coffee and a book! We will definitely stay here again if we return to the area 😊

Beautifully updated and great location

We spent two nights at this property. Clary and Cheryl were welcoming, communicative and so helpful. Their place is absolutely lovely, comfortable and nicely decorated. They truly have thought of every comfort and convenience. You wake up looking out at the water! It is a quiet neighborhood with good access to main roads to get to Halifax area sights. We would definitely recommend.
