Villa is lovely with well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds but what is truely unbelievable is the stunning views from the terraces. If that isn’t enough direct access to the sea via a private gate. We very much enjoyed swimming in the sea every day. Our dog came with us too and when wearing his life vest we were able to let him jump into the sea and lift him back out when he was finished. Cant recommend enough. Cassis is a gorgeous fishing village so all round an amazing holiday - we will definitely be back. Thank you Benedicte - you are a fantastic hostess.

Best vacation

We stayed here with my in-laws and my young children, and it was one of the best vacations we've ever taken. There is so much to do in Cassis, the town is walkable, we hiked in the calanques, took out kayaks, went scuba diving, took wing foiling lessons, ate at amazing restaurants, watched a community event from the beach, and participated in the local ropes course all effortlessly. I would come back here next summer if it wasn't so far from California. I highly recommend! June was also the perfect time to visit as it wasn't too hot or too crowded yet.

An oasis of calm with an amazing view right in the centre of town

Top location! An oasis of calm with amazing views across the mouth of the harbour to the castle, the cliffs and out to sea. The harbour with its restaurants and shops is a few minutes walk away as are the two town beaches. The house has a modern kitchen and bathrooms and is well equipped although the bedrooms and bathrooms are quite small. But the terrace with magnificent umbrella pines and that view is spacious and is all yours!

A nice villa in a wonderful town - spoilt by the money grabbing attitude of the owner

Cassis is wonderful, and the villa is perfectly situated to enjoy the benefits and amenities of this lovely town. The villa is nestled on the edge of the harbor, and it is a very short walk to the town, restaurants and beach. There have been a number of improvements made at the villa. Reading prior comments, mirrors have been added and the bathroom modernized. But some of the upgrades “look” great but a not entirely successful from a usage situation. For example, there are two sinks in the bathroom, but both of a very modern design that make them virtually unusable as sinks. There is an excellent shower, but the owner has removed the facility to have the shower on the wall so you have to shower one-handed which is not ideal. There is no pool at the villa as was in the description when we booked. There are steps through a private gate down the small cliff face too the sea – but it is too dangerous and steep for young children or the elderly to be able to use. My main criticism is with what I can only describe as a highly money making attitude of the owner. This is an expensive villa to rent – with its great positioning understandably so. But I have never been asked to pay extra to hire bedding and towels – we were told a few days before we travelled that these were not included and we would have to pay extra – or pay to have the villa cleaned and asked to pay on arrival. These were not on the UK page when we booked. The representative said this was a translation issue and the fault of Homeaway. But it speaks to the attitude of the owner who seems intent to take as much money from visitors as possible with hidden costs. I would definitely recommend Cassis and am likely to visit again. Just not to this villa.

We are very sorry about this misunderstanding. it was written in Homeaway that we don't provide"linge de maison" that means we don't provide sheets and towels. We let always the possibility to rent them to a shop in Cassis and we help renters to get them. It is the first time we get such critics. The 13 th of august we got 5 stars in an appreciation, people were very satisfied. We never intent to take much money and the money of cleaning and linen is not for us. Anyway, we are satisfied you loved the house and the beautiful view you get from it, and the place where it is built. I hope you will understand that our purpose is not to take extra money.

Bonjour,La vue est merveilleuse et l’accès à la mer semi-privatif est très appréciable. La maison est dans une petite copropriété (très légère promiscuité). Elle est confortable (attention aux marches), l’équipement est suffisant et la terrasse très grande. La place de parking (de l’autre côté de la rue en parking abrité d’un immeuble) est très pratique étant donné les problèmes pour stationner à Cassis.L’emplacement au cœur de la ville permet de tout faire à pied mais il faut tenir compte du bruit engendré par la vie nocturne des mois d’été à Cassis (discothèque et cinéma en plein air - nous y étions première semaine d’août). Sans climatisation, la température importante oblige à laisser les fenêtres ouvertes la nuit et le bruit (jusqu’à 1h du matin) et les moustiques sont dérangeants. L’ombre du pin sur la terrasse est très agréable mais la sève qui s’en échappe risque fort de tacher les vêtements (extrêmement collant).Je ferais donc deux suggestions : installer la climatisation et mettre une voile d’ombrage sous le pin. Hormis cela, la maison est vraiment très agréable et le site (vue et accès mer) extraordinaire. L’accueil est chaleureux et je recommande fortement « La Vigie » car chaque matin on a l’effet « whaou » devant cette vue et celui-ci perdure toute la journée car la vue change au rythme du soleil. Les bateaux entrant et sortant du port font un ballet qui nous invite à voyager tout en étant confortablement installé sur la terrasse. Bonnes vacances.

Séjour inoubliable, emplacement à mi chemin entre le port et la plage du Bestouan. Contact facile pour la remise des clés et excellente réactivité. Accès privatif à la mer très appréciable et parking privatif qui est un must quand on connaît les conditions de stationnement en pleine saison à cassis

Séjour à Cassis

Nous avons apprécié séjourner à Cassis à la Vigie . La maison est simple et fonctionnelle, la cuisine est bien équipée, la literie est confortable. La vue est superbe sur le cap canaille, le port et le phare. La maison est à 2 minutes à pied du port. Merci à la personne qui nous a très gentiment accueilli. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Phantastischer Blick

Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und hat eine super Lage. Man ich sehr schnell am Hafen und kann dort die vielen Restaurants und Läden genießen. Die Aussicht von den diversen Terrassen am Haus ist gigantisch.

Fantastischer Blick, super-zentrale Lage

Die Lage ist wirklich top. Man kann den ganzen Tag auf das Wasser schauen, die Schiffe vorbei ziehen sehen. Das Haus ist liebevoll und reichhaltig mit Geschirr ausgestattet. Die Küche hat einen modernen Standard. Die Toiletten sollten einmal ausgetauscht werden. An manchen Stellen im Haus merkt man dann doch, dass das Haus schon einige Jahrzehnte alt ist. Der Kontakt mit dem Gastgeber war sehr nett und freundlich Man darf hier keinen Luxus erwarten, aber eine solide Ferienunterkunft in außerordentlich guter Lage. Es wäre schön, wenn es auch Liegen gäbe und nicht nur Liegestühle.

Cassis

Cassis ist ein schöner Ort. Die Lage von dem Objekt ist sehr gut. Der Service von der Agentur bzw. Concergierce war ganz toll. Es könnte hier und dort die Einrichtung etwas hochwertiger sein. Ist aber alles ok. Es ist ein schönes Gelände und die einfache Möglichkeit zur Badebucht zu gelangen ist Klasse. Es hat keinen Pool. Die separate Garage ist im Sommer und bei der Parkplatzknappheit ein großes Plus. Die Betten sind alle Bequem. Über die Endreinigungskosten und Miete von Bettwäsche, Handtüchern kann man sich vorher erkundigen. Es ist im Rahmen. Auf dem Gelände sind auch ein paar Katzen. Also nicht vergessen Katzenfutter einzukaufen. Es ist gut möglich zu den Ständen und den Calangues zu Fuß zu gehen.

Beste Lage am Ort

Wir (3 Erwachsene in fortgeschrittenem Alter) haben im September in diesem tollen Haus zwei sehr schöne Wochen verbracht. Im Verlaufe dieser Wochen stellten wir übereinstimmend fest, dass es in Cassis keine bessere Lage gibt: direkt am Wasser (Hafeneinfahrt, gegenüber dem Leuchtfeuer, wo es immer etwas zu sehen gibt), mit direktem Zugang (bzw. Sprung) ins Meer (wobei das Wasser hier recht frisch war), Blick auf Cap Canaille mit seinen unterschiedlichsten Facetten, 100 Meter zum Hafen und weitere 200 - 500 Meter zu allen notwendigen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Bäcker, Zeitung, Supermärkten, Restaurants). Das Haus selbst ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen längeren Aufenthalt braucht. Die Terrasse ist sensationell! Groß und größtenteils von Pinien beschattet. Lediglich morgens fehlte eine Beschattung für den großen Tisch, was der Vermieter damit erklärte, dass die Ortsverwaltung den Vermietern untersagt hat, Sonnenschirme aufzustellen, da bei heftigem Wind (und der kommt schon mal vor, wie wir selbst erlebten) diese schon mal im Hafenbecken landen. Der Vermieter will diesen Zustand jedoch ändern. Insgesamt können wir nur sagen: hervorragend! Cassis selbst ist ein wunderschöner kleiner Hafenort mit vielen Bars, Bistrots und Restaurants. Er ist strategisch sehr günstig gelegen zwischen Marseille und Toulon und bietet eine Vielzahl an touristischen Möglichkeiten, wobei das Hinterland (Calanques) atemberaubende Eindrücke ermöglicht. Jederzeit wieder.

Un lieu d'exception

Nous garderons un excellent souvenir de notre séjour en famille à la Vigie. La maison est très bien située et parfaitement équipée pour 6 personnes. La vue, différente à chaque heure de la journée, est tout simplement exceptionnelle.

Séjour du 19 au 26 Décembre 2020

Nous avons pu profiter d'une semaine farniente en famille dans un cadre idéal. La maison s'est avérée agréable pour nous avec ses 3 chambres. En ces temps "compliqués" de restrictions sanitaires, la cuisine, bien équipée, a répondu à nos besoins. L'on s'y sent rapidement comme à la maison, installés sur la terrasse pour profiter de la vue ou à bouquiner au coin de la cheminée. Le chien a pu profiter du jardin même s'il devait rester en laisse pour ne pas aller dire bonjour aux voisins. La situation géographique est parfaite, à la fois au calme et proche du centre.
