What a perfect stay! Thomas has created the best getaway for the northern California coast. You will enjoy the gardens, the room, and the balcony. I recommend everybody to come have an escape here

It’s a great spot if you want stay in Trinidad! The host Tom is very nice and kind, he gave us ride when we had issues with our rental car, which was unexpected. His garden is amazing, that took a great of effort to achieve that, we’ll come back if we ever visit Trinidad again.

We loved our stay at Luffenholtz Beach cottage. Tom was a very gracious host with lots of great tips for exploring the area. You simply can't beat the location of this cottage. Cottage has everything you need for a great stay. We will definitely stay here again if in the area again.

We love staying here! The location was perfect, just a quick walk down the driveway to the beach, which was most dramatic! Coming from Florida, these west coast beaches make ours look like a boring lake! Tom and Tom's gardens were one of my favorite parts of staying here, I walked around each day we were there to soak in their beauty. The apartment was really well appointed and comfortable. Loved the huge, retractable sky light! The nearby town of Trinidad was wonderful as well, and what can I say about the majestic redwood forests nearby. It was a perfect spot for my first time ever in California. Thank you!

It is always a pleasure to stay at the seaside cottage by Luffenholtz beach.Tom is a wonderful host and his dog Lucy always greets us with a warm welcome. The cottage is perfect for the two of us. The bed in comfortable, the kitchen is very nice and we always have everything we need. The garden is beautiful and there is a perfect spot to watch the sunset over the ocean.

I highly recommend Luffenholtz Beach Studio to anyone who will be staying in the Trinidad area. The location above the Pacific captures the unique beauty of the rugged and rocky coastline. The studio’s big windows, vaulted ceiling and huge skylight fill the studio with light and a sense of being high among the redwoods. The kitchen was well equipped and was provided with my favorite coffee(Peet’s) and a rarity in short stay rentals; sharp knives. The host was very accessible and communicative and is clearly someone who takes pride in his accommodation. This is one of my favorite VRBO accommodations.

Absolutely stunning property! The cottage has everything you need and was nicely decorated & very clean. Comfortable bed & nice linens. The gardens were such a fabulous surprise! Tom & Tom were so enjoyable to visit with. The views and close proximity to the beach was the cherry on top of our stay.

Beautiful cottage in a great location. The cottage was comfortable, clean, and felt private from property owner. Loved all the windows which made the space feel very open. Host was friendly. Great location for hiking the redwoods.
