Spacious 3 Bedroom 3.5 bath Villa with pool/Jacuzzi, full kitchen, Free Wifi, laundry and modern amenities only 5 minutes walking distance to private beach. The house is located in Perla Marina a quiet, friendly gated community with cozy restaurants, convenience store and a health spa and only 20 minutes from the Puerta Plata airport. The area hosts a number of activities within minutes of the house i.e. Kite Beach ( kite surfing), surfing, diving, horseback riding, quad tours, to name only a few. Puerta Plata has many attractions as well such as Ocean World Adventure Park, Amber Cove, Playa Dorado Golf course and much more. Great place to vacation for the whole family. Note security camera’s are only covering outside entry points (doors) of the house and are only monitored when the property is vacant or upon guest request.

Great Time in Perla Marina

We had a great time. Kids took full advandage of the pool, we've enjoyed horseback riding at the nearby equestrian center, delicious food at Natura Cabana and gorgeous sunsets at the community beach. Jose, the property manager was very nice and responsive whenever we needed him. Overall, a very positive experience.

A beautiful place to be

The villa is ideal with small children - including the super pool. The villa is very spacious and the whole neighborhood is very quiet - apart from the occasional dog barking. It is very close to a beach and Cabrete is just a few minutes' drive away.

It surely felt like a home away from home. The community is extremely safe and guarded. The private beach is a 5 minute walk. Very tranquil and beautiful. Great vacation stay for those with kids. Thank you for opening up your home to us…we will be back soon!

As beautiful as in the pictures

We loved our stay at this property - great comfy beds and air-conditioning made sure we slept like babies - good showers (feels great after the beach) - beautiful outdoor area with clean pool - great communication of manager and owner - the gated neighborhood felt safe - only a short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen would recommend highly!!!

Great house and property

My husband and I rented Bob's house for 3 months. We really enjoyed our stay. The house is very spacious and comfortable and the covered outdoor eating/sitting/BBQ area and pool are lovely. Having use of a cooler and the beach chairs were a nice treat. Bob and his property manager, Jose, were very responsive to any questions and/or concerns. Thank you for a great stay!

Was there for 7 weeks, nice place could use some updating

Bob's place is in a good location. The villa would be better with some updates but was very livable. Beds were comfortable, having a pool was great for the grandkids and us on warmer days and nights. The backup for power outage was essential as there were outages almost every day, thanks for having that available. The walk to the beach was easy and the amenities around Perla Marina were great. Italian and BBQ restaurants had good food. Jose the property manager was great to deal with. Overall was a good stay

2022 DR trip

The house is vey nice and accomadating. We had two adults each with our own suite and had plenty of room for more. The house is located within walking distance of Ceiba (a great restaurant) and the beach. The only negative was the construction next door. Jose the property manager was very attentive and checked in on us several times during our visit. We will definitely consider it again on our next trip.

Beautiful Villa !

We had an excellent trip, Jose in charge of maintenance was always helpful and had many great suggestions. We hope to visit again some day, the location was ideal right in between Sosua and Cabarete minutes walk from a beautiful beach. The villa was large and spacious great for a family or a group of friends. The garden was beautiful with large palms and coconut trees. Great pool for cooling down after a hot day on the beach. Definitely will visit again. Thanks Bob for sharing your villa with us. Liz and Steve, from Canada.

Great place near Cabarete

Bob's house in Perla Marina was the perfect location for our family vacation to Cabarete. Perla Marina is a closed neighborhood that is private, quiet, and very pretty. It is also only about a 5 minute drive to Cabarete and 10 minutes to grocery stores in Sosua. There is a small, nice beach in the neighborhood. It's not great for swimming, but other bigger beaches are within a short drive. The house was spacious and comfortable for seven of us. We loved relaxing on the back patio and by the pool. We will definitely try to return!

Overall Beautiful Property

My family and I stayed in Bob's Villa over a week. We visit Dominican Republic on a regular, but this was our first time staying in Puerto Plata. The villa has everything needed for a long or short stay. Bob had great communication from beginning to end and Jose the Property Manager was always readily available when needed. There is a pizza parlor around the corner which we enjoyed and a small grocery store next to the pizza parlor. My family and I felt very safe in the neighborhood. There is security 24-7 which is a relief. We will definitely be visiting again, and Bob thanks you so much for such great hospitality!

Experience

The property is beautiful great location. Easy access nice pool and the house had plenty of room. The only issue I had was the power outage I experienced several times my second day. It went out four times and average of 12 hours. The neighbors were friendly and helped me reach the property Manager to help me with this issue. That was the only frustrating part of my stay. Besides that my stay was good.

Vacation in the villa

We just left today after we spent two weeks in this beautiful villa for our vacation. We really enjoyed everything including the location and security. It is a small gated community, really safe. The house has everything we needed. Jose, the manager, is a local guy, very helpful . He actually organized a wonderful tour to waterfalls for our family. The local beach is nicer than it was shown on the picture , we went there several times and swam there despite on the described waves . They are way smaller than in Hawaii. We also enjoyed a little pizzeria in the community. We did several activities, and also enjoyed the beaches, with local restaurants. We definitely will come again. Thank you Robert and Jose!

Great Vacation

I loved staying at this villa. Everything was clean and very nicely organized. I love the pool and jacuzzi especially at night when you turn on the light. Jose was very helpful and such an amazing host. Jose greeted me when I first got there and was very welcoming . I normally stay in Perla Marina in Sol De Plata which is normally quite but this was way better and alot less mosquitos lol Everything works well, stove, shower, tv, washer , dryer, refrigerator , air, which is always a plus when you go to another country. I can’t wait to go back. Extremely satisfied with my stay, I can’t stop telling my family and friends of how relaxing everything was. I stayed during the curfew just remember to adhere to the country's regulations with mask , social distancing and the curfew and you'll be fine.

Our second vacation in Perla Marina

We spent two weeks in Roberts villa second time. The whole atmosphere in the neighborhood and the house design and condition predispose for the wonderful vacation. We found the villa last year, and we liked how we felt there. The house is very well packed with everything you need including bed linen, towels and dishes. Even two beach chairs are provided, and they are in the laundry room. The neighborhood is very quiet , only during the weekend you might hear some music run by neighbors, but stopped after 10 pm. The swimming pool is really warm and clean. So morning swimming was just a peace of cake. The local beach is located 10 min walking distance from the house. The waves make the beach similar to Hawaii, but they are definitely not as high and powerful like in the Pacific Ocean. So it’s very pleasant to swim there as well. You also can grab coffee, smoothies or go to local restaurant to eat. We usually drove to Cabarete and Alicia beaches, which are very quiet, without lots of tourists. We rented the car, so we drove to any destinations we wanted to visit. Try to google anything you want, and it’s helpful. Activities, beautiful sides, restaurants etc. Jose, the manager was always available, very helpful at any situations. We definitely come again! The whole atmosphere made our vacation unforgettable! Tranquil and relaxing location

The house was a short walk to the beach and we enjoyed the two restaurants that were within walking distance. We didn’t need a car because we hired a taxi and we speak Spanish so it was easy to get help. The pool was very enjoyable.There wasn’t condiments like we have found in other Vrbo. We did have an issue with the safe and the owner said he would replace it.

She is from a very large family and has family and friends throughout both the DR and US. and now as I do as well. I worked as a consultant for various companies throughout my accounting career and also have my real estate license. Currently I own and manage, several real estate properties and have been active in the business for over 25 years..

Why they chose this property

During a trip to meet her family and friends, I decided to learn about property in the DR. I learned much about the history, area and visited many interesting and beautiful places. I looked at several properties in the Puerto Plata area and as luck would have it the last house was this house. I thought I to my self it's the perfect house. . It has everything, great layout, beautiful unspoiled beaches, quiet safe neighborhood., private pool and very closet to restaurants, surfing, mountains etc.

What makes this property unique

The house has a very private fenced yard with it's own private pool, outdoor stereo system, screen projector for watching movies in the pool and patio and grille. Perfect for a quiet night at home. It's also a short walk from a private unspoiled beach. It's commonplace to find only yourself on the beach and the views are breathtaking. Often, I feel it's only a matter of time before people find out about the area and commercialize it. I hope it stays perfect the way it is.
