Very comfortable accomodations. Bed was comfortable, plenty of room, gorgeous view of the lake and sunset, and in a convenient location. Hope to stay here again on our next trip up to Michigan!
I have nothing but positive things to say about this gorgeous place! The view from the deck is worth it alone but the home is very cozy and was perfect for me and my partner. Very close to lots of excellent restaurants and boutiques and hiking trails and a pretty short drive to Ann Arbor. We will absolutely be staying here again, we can’t wait!
A wonderful Fourth of July weekend on Williams Lake.
My wife and I really loved this Cottage on Williams Lake. Tom and Judy were wonderful house and made sure we had everything we wanted. We definitely will be back.
Perfect little piece of paradise!
Right in the heart of where I was born and my parents grew up!
In between family events this was the perfectly beautiful place to rest and just watch the water and the leaves fall. Ducks..swans…geese traveling south…picture perfect fall setting.
Beds are comfortable…shower is great!
Can’t say enough about the hospitality!
Thanks ya’ll!
See ya next time!

The water was crystal clear. We enjoyed kayaking and spent most of our time on the deck overlooking the water. The owner was very communicative and pleasant. The property was clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable.
Amazing property beautiful sunflowers an other flowers along the walk way. Home is beautifully decorated everything works well great watwr pressure in shower and lots of games all around the house to play! My daughter enjoyed using the kayak on the lake as well. The hosts where a amazing with communication and very accommodating and friendly! Would absolutely recommend
My husband and I really enjoyed sitting on the deck viewing the beautiful lake. The lake also provided some very active fishing from the dock. The home was comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. The kitchen was well appointed with all the needed dishware and cookware. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We would love to return to this property for future visits to the area.
We enjoyed this property. It had everything we needed. Loved the kayaks and other amenities. Very relaxing on the back deck overlooking the lake and beautiful sunsets.
Our family stayed here for a long August weekend (four nights) and even though we had a lot of rain, we thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and all its cozy amenities. The beds are super comfortable, as well as the living room couches. The kitchen has everything you need to cook light or larger meals and the fridge holds a lot. The washer and dryer was also a plus. Overall, the location is perfect and allowed us to bounce around to various family events in the surrounding area. Each night we returned to our beautiful cottage with a spectacular lake-side view. We’ll be back for future visits for sure.
My boyfriend and I stayed for a two nights during the week and it was just the little vacation we needed. Home was very neat and clean with all the amenities we needed. We grilled out and enjoyed a fire on the deck over looking the lake. The kayaks were prefect for seeing the lake and enjoying all the wild life. Communication with the owners was easy and quick. I would recommend this home for anyone who is coming for a concert at Pine Knob and who wants to enjoy some lake fun during their trip. I will definitely book again when coming out to this side of the state.

Personal experience
I originally booked because my friend lost here mom, and I wanted to just do something to clear her mind. The check in was ok, the host stated that if we needed anything she was right around the corner, come to find out she lived literally next door, so basically she was monitoring what we were doing which was playing cards, around 10:30 my friend ordered a pizza from somewhere close by because they closed at 11. When the pizza came, the host literally barged her way in, saying we had to go because we weren’t suppose to be having ppl come, when it was actually the pizza guy, once she realized, it was really a pizza guy, she apologized and begged us to stay… I didn’t feel comfortable so we decided to leave, after we left, I informed her that her was where she left it, and she threatened that she was calling the police, immediately after, and being and African American we don’t take things like that lightly. Especially when we’ve done nothing wrong. And she called Vrbo to try to report us when we didn’t even go past her kitchen. The whole experience was horrible. Needless to say, I received a full refund. I personally wouldn’t recommend this location, especially if you’re ethnicity is anything of than. And if you can read between the lines… “Read” And again this was my experience
It was a lovely home on the lake. We had a wonderful time sitting on the deck and enjoying the lake. If the house next door was the host, they made us feel comfortable. We never met them as the home had everything we needed. My husband was going to fish, but it rained steadily the next morning. I highly recommend!
We enjoyed our 2 week stay at this cottage on Williams Lake. This was a cozy, clean home with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We had a great time fishing, swimming, and kayaking. Lots of bass and catfish and even saw some turtles. There were plenty of indoor games when the weather was rainy. Tom and Judy were great hosts! You won’t be disappointed at this property!
Wonderful place, has everything. Owners extremely attentive towards needs and that you are very comfortable. House has warmth which makes you feel at home. Has firepit out back, grill, wonderful view of the lake. Wasn't able to use firepit, due to rain and busy schedule, but would highly recommend it! Awesome TV channels and availability in all rooms. Like to stay there again!
Perfect sunset view over the lake. The owners are quick to respond to messages. We took the kayaks around the perimeter of the lake. Thry were fun, and the seats were very comfortable. The squirrels and chipmunks were an added little bonus as well. Loved leaving little snacks out and watching them.

Owners live next door
When we arrived at the property, the back door and windows were wide open. While we were trying to reach the owners, the gentleman next door said he didn’t think anyone was there. After my husband talked to the gentleman for a few minutes, he found out that the gentleman was actually the owner and they lived next door.
We told Vrbo that should be in the listing as we would not have rented the property if we were going to be under the constant eye of the owners.
The property was fine. The hardwood floor in the living room and bedrooms was very creaky.
We visited Tom and Judy’s property for two weeks in May and really enjoyed our stay. The back patio and westward view of the lake were beautiful, and a variety of birds and squirrels visited the feeders. The hosts were right next door and communicative to make sure we had all we needed.
The cabin itself was comfortable and had all the amenities necessary. The kitchen was well-equipped, too. Overall, would recommend!
Loved spending time in this cozy cottage overlooking the lake. The home was clean and inviting. Especially enjoyed curling up with a good book in the leather recliner on a rainy day!
Great for families. Plenty of space and water toys. Great owners.

Why they chose this property
Cute and very clean, great view. We do our best to give you a spotless home with everything washed and cleaned to perfection. I know what it is like to stay in a hotel and our home will feel at home cleaned from top to bottom. We have lived on many lakes in the area but always come back to Williams Lake it is private and everyone is respectful. Also the lake is only 40' deep so it stays warmer longer.
What makes this property unique
You will enjoy the kayaks. We live next door but would never come over unannounced. We prefer two adults, if more it will be an extra charge per adult 100 per day.
