About this property
Carriage House, at Nine Pines Farm - Hot Tub & Walking Trails
**PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING** The Carriage House is the ideal home base for those that are planning to spend more time in the great outdoors, rather than indoors. This petite studio suite offers simple living with the basic amenities. While the Carriage House was added at a later date as a residence that was separate from the farmhouse, the farm itself and main barn, dates back to the late Civil War Era. It also sits along the John Hunt Morgan Heritage Trail, the route Confederate Brigadier General Morgan took during his raid on Southern OH. With it's rolling pastures, it will be too easy to get lost in a daydream on the back patio. The shared walking trails offer a quiet hike through the woods. On the other side of the woods, you'll find a small seasonal pond. And in the evenings, the fire ring is a great place to unwind and maybe catch a glimpse of the deer that frequent the pasture on the hillside. Enjoy stargazing? The backyard offers a perfect place to view the night sky! The Carriage House is also centrally located to everything the Hocking Hills region has to offer! Great and simple hocking hills location for couples.
A simple and not too expensive location for couples. Great if you're planning on being out and about most of your trip and just need somewhere to stay!
Everything was wonderful and they provided everything we could have needed! Being able to bring our best fur-friend along made the trip so much better!!!Only thing I would suggest would be that, because cell service is so spotty and limited it would’ve been nice to have access to WiFi.

Thank again Sarah! Unfortunately, this area is way behind on access to internet. According to the local companies, it's a bandwidth issue. And we haven't found any boosters that are strong enough to share internet with the main house. We are working on it, and hopefully we can find a solution soon!
Quiet, relaxing, quaint and close to everything we wanted to see. Perfect little get away for my husband and I and our dog. Clean, cute and great hosts. I definitely recommend this property!
We loved the place. It was just perfect for my wife, our little dog Abby, and myself. The Hocking Hills area is wonderful to explore and the hot tub was relaxing after a day of hiking and shopping. We would stay here again. Great place!
The host wrote me a note welcoming us to the cottage. I left them a note that things was tore and broken before we got there. They need to keep thing repaired before renting to the next people. But it was nice and quiet place.

Thank you Stephanie. We did realize that the headboard was not broken, but just not attached to the bed. I'm not sure what was torn, but thank you for letting us know.
A truly special location! Very rural but close enough to everything interesting and necessary. Carriage house is so comfortable and really is cozy, close to main house but still quite private. The terrain is somewhat steep but walking paths are lovely and worth the effort. We had a wonderful visit and hope to stay again soon.

Thanks so much, Philip and we look forward to your return!
Some pictures didn't match up. No proper cleaning tools to help pick up after ourselves, we did our best. Hot tub was perfect but we left early.

About the host
Hosted by Nick
We're Nick and Shannon, owners of Nine Pines Vacation Rentals in Hocking Hills. In 2017, we decided to sell our cleaning business and take the leap of moving to our favorite place on Earth, Hocking Hills! We love providing a place to stay for people, and giving them the opportunity to fall in love with the area also. Even though this is the hardest business and job we've ever had, it's also by far, the most rewarding. We hope to pass this business on to our children someday.
Why they chose this property
The first time we saw the farm, we immediately knew we couldn't pass up the opportunity to own it. Even though the Carriage House was originally built as a Mother In Law suite, it works perfectly as a simple getaway for the couple that wants to be close to everything Hocking Hills has to offer, but not at the huge cost of a fancy cabin.
What makes this property unique
Nine Pines Farm sits along one of most scenic roads in the Hocking Hills region, and part of the 'Windy 9' scenic routes. This property allows you to take in the scenery of Appalachia, without ever leaving the farm!
