Nice ocean view the location was very good however, the street noise during the day tended to be a little irritating. This unit has seen better days. It needs work. Lots of little things unattended to that have not been repaired. Am I opinion this place is overpriced for the state that it’s in needs work.
Generally satisfied. Clean, amply stocked kitchen wares. Nice views from the living room. Patio small and nice, but was unable to lock the patio door after using. Did not feel safe at night because of the cheap, ineffective "bolt". After reading this, I am hopeful the landlord will replace it.
Not that the owner could be faulted, but the presence right across the street of one of those traveling circuses brought evening noise that would otherwise have been a quiet street. Some have mentioned traffic noise from the nearby Highway. While a light sleeper, vehicular sounds were minimal through the night.
I would rent this place again ... after being assured that the patio door has a more substantial lock.
The check in was made easy by the host who called me the day of and made sure I could gain access easily. The design and furnishings were well done, tasteful, and comfortable. Wonderful location for walking about town and for getting out to wander the wonderful woods and hills surrounding the area. Will definitely will rent again when we go back to Mendocino.
This place turned out to be in the perfect location. Waking up in the morning to the forest view was candy to our eyes. And then to walk out into the living room with a view looking out towards the town and ocean was lovely. This place is nicely located to walk down to the town or to drive out to hwy. 1 and go to other state parks or cities. My husband and I won’t hesitate to come back.
Great property. Quiet, clean and very cozy. Loved the fire place and the bed was also very comfortable. My only comment would be that the coffee maker was broken. The property manager, Ann, brought us a press which was just ok. Good thing to check that all appliances are working prior to renter arrival.
Better than expected (wifi good enough for streaming, DVE player, ocean views). Walking distance to everything. Comfy bed. Will definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay, very clean and true to the description in the listing. The bed was especially comfortable and a good view of the ocean from the living room. The only negative, which is small, is it faces a pretty consistently traveled road, so sitting on the terrace is noisy. Quiet at night though. Basic appliances. I brought my own coffee and coffee maker but both are provided. The shower was only one person small, but the soaps are wonderful. You must able to climb stairs though , as it is on a slight hill. Covered parking is available. And free. Just enjoy the beautiful town within walking distance and good restaurants.
We did enjoy our stay, and the accommodations were comfortable enough, but... There was an ant problem. When we checked in there were dirty rags covering the drain in the shower (we don't know why). The shower was very slow to drain which required us to limit our shower time. The layout of the dining/seating area is a bit akward.
We enjoyed our 8 night stay very much. The location is easy walking distance to town, stores and restaurant and spectacular headlands. Bedroom and bed were super comfortable. Kitchen is small-ish but had what we needed to cook most of our meals. Only minor downsides are some road noise (though it quiets down at night) and the living/sitting/eating area is a bit awkwardly arranged, though it works fine. Overall I'd give it a solid recommendation.
We had the pleasure of staying for four nights. The location is ideal, within walking distance of the village but not noisy. Very comfortable. Everything we needed and more. We had a couple of of rainy days and we’re quite happy to hang out with some good books.
This large home divided into several accommodations was a perfect alternative to the high end B&B we usually stay at when visiting Mendocino. It has a full kitchen, wonderful bathroom with shower and jacuzzi tub, and a comfortable bed with an adjoining outdoor porch. We are looking forward to our next stay.
This place was lovely and perfectly located. The bed was super comfy. Can't really see the ocean from the balcony, but a great view from the living room. Kitchen well-appointed. Morning muffins were huge and delicious. We took them on our hike with us. Two really small things would have made the Overall rated a 5-star....there's an ironing board, but no iron. Luckily Mendocino is tolerant of wrinkles! Also, the hair dryer is old, falling apart, and looks slightly dangerous, as parts have broken off to expose some inner mechanisms. Please replace that! We'd still come back here, though! Thank you!

A special place
My spouse and I rarely get a chance to get away. We managed a 4 night stay in our favorite place by the ocean. This place was perfect for us,close to everything. The views from the windows are spectacular. We will come back when we can.

relaxing light-filled space
We enjoyed our stay here - the location was perfect for exploring Mendocino town. The bed is very comfortable, and the space incredibly well-lit and well-thought out. It is peaceful and quiet with all the kitchen things you'll need to make food and eat in. The muffins every morning were a nice touch.
The shower is a bit tight, and know that if you are very short, and/or very plump, you may have some difficulties. But don't forget to bring some bubble bath or salts though, as the tub is luxurious.
thank you!

A surprising gem
From the outside it does not look like much but once inside it is great! Decorated in an asian style, it has some unique design features. From the front windows there is a nice view of the ocean. Bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. Because it is associated with an inn, there is someone who cleans up the room each day if you'd like. Each morning a basket of very good muffins shows up on your doorstep around 8 am. It is very walkable to Mendocino with all its quaint shops & delicious restaurants. The only 2 drawbacks we found that weren't "show stoppers" is that it is near the main road and with the windows open, it can be very noisy for sleeping. Also the shower is very small though water pressure was good. Has a nice 2 person tub. Check in is a little strange since you had to check in at an inn down the street where you got your key-a little difficult to find but the check in woman was very nice. I would definitely stay here again!
