A Drakes Island charmer just minutes away from sandy Drakes Island beach. A short 6 minute walk to the beach will have you sitting in the sun and the sand. The large screened porch is perfect for dining and lounging. This classic New England beach cottage has retained its original charm with a modern kitchen. Upstairs there are three bedrooms with pretty pine floors, ceiling fans, and a spacious bathroom.

“DevOcean” is a two-story cottage with many the comforts of home while you vacation at the beach. On the front of the cottage is a spacious screened porch, which just received new furniture. Perfect for relaxing.

The first floor has a comfortable living room, an expansive open kitchen and dining area to seat six. The kitchen boasts a gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster-oven, drip coffee maker, kitchenaid mixer, and microwave. The living area has a TV with blueray player, a comfy couch, and cozy chairs. There is a brand new full/double sofa bed too! Enjoy cable TV and wifi internet. A washer and dryer is available for your use.

The second floor of the cottage is comprised of three bedrooms and a bathroom with a claw foot tub. Each of the bedrooms has a full/double size bed, dresser, vaulted ceiling, small closet, and ceiling fan.

Outside there is a large backyard abutting the Rachel Carson Nature preserve, perfect for privacy and playing yard games. There is a private outdoor rain shower on the side of the house.

Don’t forget to check out the Drakes Island Improvement Association which offers several amenities including playgrounds, tennis courts, children’s day camps, a community center, and more. Weekly associate memberships for renters are available by the week. More information is available on the DIIA website.

This is the perfect spot for a few couples or a small family. Whip up pancakes and bacon each morning in the kitchen and spend a gorgeous day on Drakes Island beach building sandcastles, walking the jetty and swimming. Come home to sit on the front porch and play board games while the sun sets.

Beach vacation 2022

This house is a perfect beach house in New England !!!! From the screened in front porch that we enjoyed our evening cocktails on to the outdoor shower. There is nothing better than an outdoor shower after being at the beach all day. The kitchen is fully stocked with every type of pot and pan to dishes , bowls and glassware. Can't wait to stay there again

Minutes to the beach!

Location is great with just a short walk to the beach. The screened front porch is a nice large outdoors living/dining place. Lots of games to play also the shed is stocked with beach chairs and lawn games! We had a wonderful time!

Great Vacation Spot!

Beautiful and Traditional Beach Cottage

This cottage was beautiful and a traditional beach cottage. We loved the screen porch and the outdoor shower. The kitchen was large and well equipped. The location was great for us.
