Nice property close to everything. Host responded promptly to an issue. There was some construction going on close by so it was noisy. Nice fenced yard for the fur baby.
The yard was very pretty, the location was central to walking to town, a restaurant across the street was nice. Parents with 2 adult kids and each had their own bedroom/space. It was nice to have a kitchen to make a meal, and just be together and not spread out among hotel rooms. Onsite washer/dryer was very convenient after hiking so we could do a few loads of laundry before we left for home. We didn't know there was a rental space below us, or behind us- we thought it was a separate home, but it worked out fine. It was a nice trip.
Great stay. House is in the perfect location for walking to everything in downtown Blowing Rock. Karen was a great host and house had everything we could possibly need during our stay.
The house was nice and met our needs nicely. The house and property was also extremely clean. The location was great being very close to Main Street. Plenty of good places to eat within walking distance.
The beds were very comfortable and the cabin/cottage was beautifully designed on the interior. We loved being within walking distance to both hiking trails and restaurants and shopping.
This beautiful cozy cabin is our new favorite place to stay! Perfect location and the cabin was everything we could have ever asked for! This will be our new go to place to stay while visiting Blowing Rock
Right downtown yet quiet, we stayed there with our dog, who also liked the place. It's comfortable, convenient, has a cool gas fire pit, and everything works. We love going to Blowing Rock and it was a great home away from home.
This is our second stay and we’ll be back again. We had a great time with our family walking around and enjoying the fire pit back at the house. Convenient to everything.
This home is in downtown Blowing Rock. Its name, "A Stone's Throw", is apt, since it is in walking distance of shops and restaurants in the town. The host was extremely friendly and welcoming. Her restaurant recommendations were excellent, and we discovered that Blowing Rock and Banner Elk are definitely foodie destinations.
Our two therapy dogs accompanied us, and loved the host, the house, and the walkable town.
Highly recommend this home for your next mountain getaway!
What a great cabin in a great location! I usually shy away from staying in locations that are pet friendly but I would have never known this was one. The place is very clean and a really cute cabin! We would def recommend this location to anyone of our friends.
We were attending a family reunion and had 5 adults and 1 child. The place was warm and inviting with all the details from fire pit, to everything in the kitchen that you needed. It was spacious but cozy. We brought our dog and it was wonderful to have a fenced in yard and access to a big field in the back. WE LOVED IT!
This property was very clean and spacious. The notebook with menus is a thoughtful touch and came in handy. Our family enjoyed our long weekend there. The firepit and outdoor area are very nice. Restaurants and shopping are all in walking distance.
The house was adorable. The owners so nice. Enjoyed s’mores on the fire pit. Great location. Look forward to returning

I'm a financial advisor living in Chapel Hill, NC. This started out as a hobby and has grown to a beautiful collection of five star downtown properties. I enjoy buying distressed properties and transforming them into luxury short term rentals that are well thought out, beautifully appointed and furnished and clean...did I mention they are spotless?
Why they chose this property
This property is the premier location in Blowing Rock, It is located on Sunset Drive, steps from Main Street, across from The Best Cellar and Hellbender, both wonderful restaurants and of course The Inn at Ragged Gardens, where music on the lawn is a Friday night ritual all summer long. While everyone coming downtown struggles to find parking you are all set with our private parking area.
