This pristine private island enjoys an enviable location on the St. Lawrence Seaway, straddling the US-Canadian border and just a five minute boat ride to the charming village of Alexandria Bay New York. The international airports of New York, Syracuse and Ottawa are both just an enjoyable 90 minute commute which makes the access to this wonderful island retreat so easy. There is ample space for up to ten guests with the spacious terrace a popular spot to unwind with a glass of wine and watch the boats and ships as they pass. The master suite looks out on to Boldt Castle - one of the 1000 Islands memorable attractions. Or enjoy watching the sun set while relaxing in the hot tub in the solarium.

Great Place, Definitely worth the money.

Outstanding location, overlooking Boldt Castle. Roomy, comfortable & well-furnished house. Great place to swim, boat, see the sights. Well-maintained grounds. everything you need for a great family trip. Over the years, we have rented houses in in Alex Bay, and various locations in Europe. None have been a better value. Our family of 10 + 2 infants had a great time. Perfect for a family trip. We will definitely rent it again. Our 10 year olds love the fishing right off the boat dock. Drop a line, and catch a fish. Calm waters off boat dock for kayaking, swimming and boating.

Property and location are amazing! Management communication and effort was above average. Simple math is you will never have a vacation location like Belle Island. The house is dated, no lights working on docks, back deck. Little things like bath wash, shampoo, conditioner are not included. WiFi was weak. That’s the worst of the story (the house). The hot tub was awesome, the huge fish from the boat house, fires on the river are all to die for. The covered boat house was fantastic. If you can appreciate the location and once and a life time island location you won’t be disappointed. If you expect the house to be what you see in the area you will be disappointed. Pro tip- get Rubbermaids with wheels for transporting groceries I’ll end with the experience as a whole is one to remember. Be prepared it’s not a 5 star hotel but a 1/100000 island. We all slept like kings and our kids will never forget Belle island.

Belle

Property overall was not as well maintained as expected. Stains and patches on furniture, not all exterior lights worked. The water at covered boat slip was full of sea weed and some trash. Some dock decking covered in bird feces. Hot tub did not have proper PH balance and was unusable. Dryer did not work. CRT television in loft did not work. Lots of old spider webs between screen and window obstructing views. Construction materials stacked on Island waiting to be installed after high water damage. Despite these things, the property is fantastic and the stay was overall very enjoyable. I would recommend, if the above issues were addressed.

wonderful views, lots of room

We had a great time. Eventhough the water was high, it did not affect us. We loved seeing the ships going by. The home was decorated so nice.
