This was the perfect summer getaway for our small group! They had everything that we needed to feel off the grid, but comfortably the whole time. Great communication from the host as well!
We loved our stay here! It was the perfect location and our kids loved playing in the water and beach area. Very clean and well kept lot. We had a great family vacation!
This “Get Away” is beautiful and clean. It has the perfect walk out to the beach/Lake and bonfire pit. The screened in porch is a bonus with the coolest vintage fridge. We’ve already booked for next summer.
Beautiful location. . . cozy is the correct word. . . somewhat small interior. . . shared boat launch is convenient; it would be better if there was a closer place to park the boat trailer.
We just returned from our third stay at this wonderful property, and it truly feels like a home away from home. The house is always spotless, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything (and more) one would need for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The host Erin is consistently thoughtful, responsive, and makes the entire experience seamless from start to finish. The location is perfect—peaceful, yet close enough to enjoy all the nearby attractions. Each year we find ourselves appreciating new little touches the hosts have added, which shows how much care they put into making guests feel welcome. After three stays, we can confidently say this property is a gem, and we look forward to returning again next year. Highly recommend!
We were in the area for a family reunion, so the group had several different rentals. This one is delightful, clean, and wonderfully appointed. I highly recommend.
We had a great stay at this cabin! The location and private boat launch with docking was a major bonus when bringing our boat and 2 year old. Cozy little cabin, well stocked and very clean. Everything we needed and the outdoor space is so relaxing! Host was very responsive. Thanks for having us.
The property was a perfect fit for the three of us.The cabin is nicely appointed, modern and clean. The grounds are are very well cared for and make the stay enjoyable. One cannot go wrong with a stay at this cabin. Owners very easy to communicate with.
My family and I discovered this gem last year. The host, Erin, is amazing. She is an awesome communicator and goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need for your stay. The property itself has more amenities than one could help for and has an unbeatable view and location on the lake. We are already booking for next year and beyond. Highly recommend!

Beautiful spot in the bay of Rush lake. 7 year old caught 60 fish in two days off the dock! Good access to two separate docks. We rented pontoon from Your Boat Club and parked it on dock overnight. Owner was very accommodating and Toga the dog was a fun visitor!
My family and I were absolutely blown away with our experience staying here. Our host, Erin, was incredible with communication and was very accommodating. The place itself could not be in a better location. It has a stunning view of the lake as well as its own private sandy beach and boat launch, including a dock and lift. The fire pit was wonderful for evening s’mores and family and friend hangouts. We had an absolute blast taking advantage of all of the kayaks, pedal boat, and other accessories. It was exactly what we were looking for (and then some). We will be back!

Inside the property was not comfortable/needs improvements.
The view was great! The bed desperately needs a new mattress, very uncomfortable. the living room furniture was also very uncomfortable - old. The bathtub needs a non-slick pad or other non-slick surface. I fell in the bathtub.
There was no laundry detergent for the washing machine, we had to buy some. Instructions on the freg asked us to put the bedding the washing machine and start it - yet no detergent. We obliged and used our detergent.
There was constant lawn care and landscaping going on all week, it was difficult to get a good afternoon nap.
I would not go back to this property.

A cozy place for a lakeside getaway- could be improved a bit!
Pros
Great fire pit area next to the lake, beautiful place to have a fire! Owners supply wood, they request a donation for the wood you use (at this price, shouldn’t that come with the property?)
They have a grill (con is that you need to bring your own propane to hook up... again, seems like it should be included for the price).
The weeding machines create a very swimmable spot on the lake. It skims the bottom so there’s space without weeds and you can easily jump off the dock and enjoy a good amount of weed free swimming! The machine does make a constant noise, though.
Very quiet road! We took a walk down the peninsula and it was very quiet and easy to walk along the side of the road.
Cons
No functioning knives- it’s dangerous to use knives as dull as these, mostly serrated knives. For the owner, I recommended a new knife set. For future cabin users, would recommend bringing a knife of your own if you plan to cut (even soft cheese was not easy to cut).
Not functioning cutting board- there was a cutting board- it was hard to find, it was the kind that’s made of bumpy glass, and was missing a part, so it wobbles when you use it. Bring a cutting board, also I let the owner know.
Couldn’t use the screen porch because of a lot of mouse poop on the cushions.
Sounds from the dock’s two weed preventers detracts from the peaceful lake quiet we were hoping for
No wifi- not the main reason we came, but would have been nice as phone data wasn’t strong enough to stream music.
The queen bed mattress is so old and incredibly uncomfortable. It is really low in the middle and affected my sleeping and gave me back pain. I expected a better mattress.
The owner offers very few water excursion options- there’s a peddle boat but it sinks if you are out there too long (holes in the bottom might be missing covers?) and two child kayaks, which don’t help us much since we’re adults. Would have been nice to have two adult kayaks to use- seems like the owners have these items on their property, would be nice to offer a way to borrow them for an hour or two or rent them to guests.
That said, the bonfire was right next to the lake and it really was beautiful up there! With a few improvements, would definitely be a 5 star!

Hi, thanks for the review. New knives have been ordered and the cutting boards were located on top of the refrigerator. The kayaks at the property were listed as youth kayaks in the description. The firewood we have the purchase for the cabin renters and we go through a lot so a small donation is appreciated, not required. All vrbo properties that we have personally stayed at as a family have all requested that you bring your own propane to use the grill at each property so we chose to ask the same of our renters. I had not had any issues with the paddle boat until your stay. I have since plugged the holes. The weed blower fan at the end of the dock causes the beach to continue to be sandy and enjoyable for guests. It is not very noisy in my opinion and I have received zero complaints on this besides yours. Thanks for the review and constructive criticism. I have appreciated it and used it to better the enjoyment of our future guests:-)
The grounds are beautiful! The cabin is small. Just like the pictures. If you have trouble with fragrances as I do, they do use use plug ins and fragranced laundry soap. So the cabin and bedding were overwhelming for me. I believe they might be switching to fragrance free, so check with Erin before you book.
Erin was awesome to communicate with…a very gracious person.
You will love the fire pit and the beach. Our family really liked the place.
The cabin is a cozy place on a quiet bay on the Whitefish Chain of lakes. We enjoyed our stay so much we were hoping to book an extra day but cabin was booked. Erin (host) was available and ready with any and all answers to questions we had. We celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary and had three other couples over for a day of boating and relaxing by the lake. We couldn't ask for a better place for our celebration.

SURPRISE
A main thoroughfare from their cabin to most areas, cross-lakes downtown, ( groceries stores, shops, and restaurants, ect.) is closed off. They didn't tell me that. And the detour to get to those places is 25 minute drive ( instead of under 10 minute drive if the main road was open,)
It is not what I would have chosen had I known.
Overall, we had a wonderful time at this property! The house was exactly what we wanted, and the outdoor space was incredible. We loved the variety of outdoor seating areas to relax in at different times of day. The town was cute and had some good restaurants and activities. We would definitely stay here again!
