Please be sure to use correct occupancy when booking. The Sunset Cottage is a place you can relax and forget about everyday cares. As soon as you step through the front door you’ll be greeted by memories of staying with your grandparents. This place is meant to be your home away from home, not somewhere that is stark and sterile. Our guests consistently comment on how comfy, cozy, and clean the house is and how available we are when needed. Don’t spend another second looking… book here. You’ll love it too.

The house itself covers just over 1,100 square feet and sleeps 8 people. There is a queen sized bed in the master bedroom, 2 twin bunk beds in the spare bedroom, and a queen sized sofa sleeper in the living room. The mostly level yard is perfect for kids to play in or you can relax on the large covered front porch.
You will have full use of the house and yard EXCLUDING the basement, and shed.
Charles and Amy live within 2 miles and are never more than a text or phone call away.

As always, our time at the Ark Encounter is amazing. The property is very nice and the short distance to the Ark works well. The only negative, if any, would be the somewhat musty smell, probably from not having the air conditioner running between guests. I didn't notice it as much as my wife, and believe me, this is not a knock at all on the property. Just something you may want to know!

Great Location

We had a great stay. The home is very close to the Ark Encounter, and a relatively easy drive to the Creation Museum, Cincinatti, and other desirable destinations. We loved the home.

Best Country stay in the City

Oh my birds greeted us, a squirrel had coffee with me (I was enjoying the quiet porch sitting), I went in to fix breakfast and a baby deer was in the backyard eating grass, & then our final day there 2 small baby jack rabbits were wishing us well on our trip as they ate grass & frolicked in the morning dew. Best stay ever!

Great location!

This cozy little house was super close to the ark encounter. My family and I enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and in good order. The hosts were very responsive to messages as well.

We made the trip to visit the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. The Sunset Cottage was great for us! Very nice, quiet neighborhood and the home was clean and well maintained. Hosts were very easy to work with!

The neighborhood was more crowded than I expected but it was quiet. I was however, woken on multiple occasions during the night by trains. The location was great. Very close to the Ark and not very far from the Creation Museum. A nice place to stay if you are visiting both places.

Lovely Farmhouse

Our daughter has appointments at Cincinnati Children's Hospital several times a year. This was our first time trying a rental instead of a hotel & we fell in love with this place. It is in a cute little neighborhood. We enjoyed a short strode one evening. Our daughter made the comment it felt like home. We hope to return!

Great location to the ark!

Great location for our family visit to the ark and creation museum. Lovely restful place and our kids enjoyed the big backyard and trees to play on and under. The listing on air b n b had washer and dryer available, but they weren't, so we had to use the local laundromat on stead. But the owner dropped off some rope for us to hang washing outside . Good communication and and response time from the owner and access to wifi in the house. Thanks for a dl laundromat

Amazing

We spent a remarkable three nights at Sunset Cottage thanks to our fabulous hosts, Charles and Amy. They were fantastic. This was one of our trip highlights in our entire 6wk tour of the US (from Australia). As it was off season, Charles recommended some great things to do around Williamstown and Dry Ridge aside from the Ark. We loved staying here and experiencing a small town American vibe. Charles and Amy really made our stay so special. They are such beautiful people and very generous of their time. Very thoughtful in what they have provided in the cottage such as bottled water, lots of snacks, coffee, hot choc and iced tea bags which are a novalty to us. We will be back!!! Thank you so much. FANTASTIC!!!

The property was wonderful. SO close to the ARK ENCOUNTER. I seriously would have walked, but my travel friend needed to rent a scooter, so it wasn't an option. Can't say enough good things about the property and owners, which is why we booked in the first place. The multiple rave reviews about the entire experience. Made a perfect trip even MORE perfect. Absolutely NOTHING to gripe or complain about. I'm not given to complaints, but the most hard to please would be hard pressed (unless a habitual liar) to offer anything but praise and appreciation for the property, location and owner activity. ALL excellent! In every area!

Sunset Cottage was a wonderful experience for us. It is in a quiet neighborhood with a well kept yard large enough for children to enjoy. The location is close to the Ark Encounter and downtown. We had to contact Charles a couple of times, nothing major. But he came by to make sure everything was satisfactory. He is a great host. We highly recommend this cottage!

We loved the charm and cleanliness of this well-kept home in a clean and family-friendly neighborhood. We all felt like we were visiting grandma’s house with the neat vintage furniture in the kitchen and the country charm throughout the house. We enjoyed the large trees, green grass and sitting on the front porch drinking our coffee. It was the perfect location for our family trip to the Ark Encounter.
