Description: The Grand Oaks floor plan features convenient single level living with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, elevator access, and a covered entry. The open floor concept has a spacious 1669 square feet. Mountain views can be admired from the open kitchen, living and dining room areas as well as the primary bedroom. The kitchen boasts custom cabinetry and is equipped with everything to prepare a meal. Enjoy a meal at the dining room table, play cards or put a puzzle together. Cozy up in the living room in front of the gas log fireplace or enjoy your favorite movie. The choices are yours! The large 19 ft wide covered concrete deck is a place to gather with friends or enjoy a quiet afternoon enjoying the wonders of nature and the breathtaking mountain view. The spacious primary bedroom and bathroom suite offers a luxurious experience and access to the deck area as well as the living room. The guest bedrooms also have bathrooms offering privacy for each guest. Come for a short weekend or enjoy an extended stay and explore all the High Country has to offer. This condo is on the bottom floor (downstairs) with an elevator. In case of power outages or elevator equipment malfunctions, the condo will be stair access only.

Resorts' Amenities: Amenities in these gated resorts include indoor and outdoor (seasonal May 1 - Oct. 1) swimming pools with hot tubs, two private clubhouses, fitness rooms, stocked fishing ponds, a 23-acre riverfront park, community hiking trails and catch and release fishing.

Location: This Resort is centrally located to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock in the Foscoe area. The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University.  If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. Relax and enjoy the slow pace of the mountains and the fresh air or be adventurous and go hiking, fishing, biking, or sight-seeing. Some other things people enjoy are shopping, antiquing, skiing, golfing and miniature golfing, ziplining, go-karts, and gem mining.

Great place and location

The condo was a perfect size for a family with 3 teenage boys. It was also a perfect location to have them ski for 2 days straight. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful week in the high country!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Echota. The condo was very clean and fully stocked. Lovely view of Grandfather Mountain from the deck as well! We also enjoyed all of the amenities that Echota offered. Our boys didn’t have much luck with the trout pond, but caught a lot of bass in the other pond 😊. The location of Echota is great- Boone, Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain are all within 20 minutes. Would definitely stay again!

Enjoyed our stay

Really enjoyed the property. Good location between towns and ski resorts. Property was in really good condition and nicely furnished and stocked. The porch view and fireplace were great. It’s a bottom level unit so there was a little bit of noise/footsteps above but not too bad. The rental company delayed our check-in last minute but had no flexibility to allow us a late check out which was a bit annoying. They also have a lot of check out requirements that most companies include in the service/cleaning fee so check out day is kind of a hassle. Overall great trip and great property that I would recommend.

Enjoyable Stay

Overall, the stay was great as many commodities were provided and the property was clean. However, there were some problems involving the stay as aforementioned. The toilets when flushed would have to be held down or would clog temporarily. This was extremely frustrating coupled with the toilet taking a while to flush. Another thing to mention that wasn’t exactly a huge problem was that the hot water and water were not turned on by property management and would have to be turned on by the guests.

We absolutely loved this place. It was clean and had everything we needed and the gated community was beautiful. Foscoe is a beautiful area, close to all of the surrounding attractions. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy condo in well-kept resort

We enjoyed our stay at the condo. It rained heavily during most of our trip to the area. We spent more time indoors at the condo than we had planned, so we were happy to have the fireplace and covered deck. We also appreciated the well-stocked kitchen. We felt that the shower in the master bathroom was too small and the shower temperature was scalding at times and difficult to regulate. Overall, we were happy with the stay, with the shower being our only disappointment.

Pleasant, peaceful stay in a great location

Great location 12 minutes from Boone dining and within easy driving distance to Valle Crucis, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, Grandfather, Linville, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Neighborhood is gated. Property we stayed in was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The drive up to the property from the gate was good, not on a steep gravelly road like other places we've stayed in. Plenty of parking. Sitting on the deck was a peaceful experience with the birds singing in the trees. Only negatives were that the outdoor pool was in a different neighborhood (Echota on the Ridge) and the master bathroom shower was a very small corner stall. Due to POA requirements, the hot water heater must be turned off between stays, so our advice is to check in as soon as you can to get that hot water heated long before people need to take showers. We checked in late after hiking and did not have enough hot water for showering the first night. Other than that, the unit was nicely furnished with plenty of amenities.

Great property but no WIFI

I have nothing but nice things to say about this property. I was very clean and accurate description. The only complaint and that is minor is the wifi did not work at all during the week we were there. I made sure to book a rental with wifi because I have a teenager (enough said) needless to say it never worked on our 4 different devices. The one time we tried to go to the office during business hours no one was there so I just didn't bother to check with them again. Mobile data also only working in ONE room of the building. Like I said this was a minor annoyance to us and mainly my teen. Otherwise the property was great and we had a good time.

The location was ideal. The condo was very clean and accommodating to our needs. We loved that we each had a bedroom and our own bathroom. Morning coffee on the deck was perfect and evening wine on the deck ended our day.

Wonderful Echota Experience

Great location and quick drive to wonderful hiking, tubing, snowboarding and dining experiences. Condo was exactly as described and the deck, with a lovely view of Grandfather Mountain, was a great place to start and end each day. Thank you for a great mountain getaway!

Amazing Stay

This was perfect a perfect place for our family. We had such a special time on the balcony and we had 3 generations cooking in the kitchen! My mom had not been to the mountains in years, and it was so close and convenient to everything we wanted to do. Will stay again, hopefully sooner than later!

Everything about this rental was perfect! Very clean, nicely stocked, beautiful views, very convenient to Boone, Banner Elk, & Blowing Rock! Kids loved indoor pool, hot tub, & fishing pond. Beautiful family (including 70yr old parents) hike in Moses Cone to tower. So much more we could have done, so will need to stay longer next time! Highly recommend.

Beautiful home

This was one of the best VRBO‘s I’ve stayed in, and I’ve stayed in quite a few. It was clean well appointed had everything necessary as well as a beautiful view with Adirondack chairs on the patio I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend
