The overall experience was very pleasing. Inside of the cabin is marvelous. Really nice piece of craftsmanship! There were a few things that should be addressed. But didn't ruin our stay. As far as the upstairs shower leaked into the lower living area. I imagine the property owner is aware. Downstairs toilet in the living room also has some issues. And watchout for potholes in the deck. Not an issue for myself. But for the it could be maintained. If you want an awesome place to relax and enjoy a weekend or 2. I recommend it. If your uptight about every little thing. This is not the place for You. You also should enjoy recreational offroad activity. We had some sxs come down the driveway more than once. Again was not an issue for us. I would definitely stay here again.
The cabin is amazing! We just had trouble getting in contact with the manager/owner. We were going to use the griddle and no propane and no can opener. Otherwise it was great.

Buyer Beware
Walking up to the cabin we got bombarded by boring bees and wasps. A wasp’s nest in the dining room door frame that leads to the deck caused an issue, but prior guests were kind enough to leave wasp and hornet spray in the pantry, and we made good use of it so that we could walk outside. The home made bee traps, concocted of 16 ounce plastic water bottles hung on the rafters outside, were, of course, completely full. But don’t worry, there’s plenty more nesting in, and eating the cabin, serving as food for the woodpeckers who start their day at 4:30 a.m. I get it, nature. The BBQ grill covering a hole in the deck serves as a caution sign not to step through the rotten decking – where someone apparently already had – as it’s completely rotted out. There's a reason all the exterior pictures are taken at a distance.Every battery to every remote was dead. Half the light bulbs were either burned out or missing in the kitchen’s one light source, and the microwave over the stove also had no light. The smell of dust was everywhere as every charming, exposed beam had a film of dust so thick you could smell it on everything. Two of the three toilets either didn’t flush at all, or flushing handles were disconnected. All of these things could be overlooked as “cabin in the woods” issues, except for the 5-star all inclusive rate being charged, and basically being told by the host to get bent.
Beautiful property & Home. Would return in a heart beat!
It was an amazing trip! Our 6 hour drive was well worth it. The home was beautiful, the owners were great and the property provides everything you need to have a great time !
5 star vacation 👍
We had a fabulous time at the cabin! Felt totally remote, but was close enough to get to Mammoth Cave and super close to a little store that has everything!
The kids loved playing in the huge yard, on the deck, the little pond - it was perfect!
We stayed here for our wedding weekend and it was a perfect setting! We have stayed multiple times as we love to ride directly onto Blue Holler trails and this weekend was no different….. friends, family, our sxs and random riders stopping for pics with us! It was a perfect time!
Cabin worked out great for our weekend visit to Blue Holler ATV Park. Trails lead right up to cabin and very easy access. Cabin was clean and well organized. The only hiccup we had was the fact that the grill was charcoal and not gas. We all prefer the charcoal over gas but simply didn’t pack charcoal. Minor inconvenience, just a short drive to get any needed supplies.
The oven wasn’t working and there were multiple lights out in the house. Also, there was not a functioning grill. The owners were quick to respond and fixed those items quickly.
The property needs some TLC but was clean. We enjoyed our stay a lot.
My family and I enjoyed our weekend stay at the house. It is a large, beautiful house in a nice secluded location. There was plenty of room for the twelve of us.
The property manager was very prompt at addressing my concerns and questions
A little basic maintenance and extra cleaning would turn it into a five star stay.
My husband took my two sons and some of their friends to ride Blue Holler Off Road on their SXS for a bachelor weekend before his wedding. They loved the location of the house and being able to jump on the trails right there at the house. The house was very roomy for them to spread out. They had 8 in their group ranging in age from 25-54. House was very clean and had everything they needed.
Get place to stay with family. Lots of space and places to sleep. Right on the off road blue holler trail. Super cozy feel. Very Kentucky!
My only cons - my kids were creeped out that it is right next to a cemetery. Also, there was an infection of bees and hornets. We had to run in and out of the cabin, as not to get stung. We were not able to use the decks at all. Did not use the near by pond either - way too many bees and hornets flying around. I would not go back, until this issue is cleared up.
Cabin was located perfect for riding at Blue Holler trails but cabin was not well maintained. Shower head in master bathroom sprayed everywhere, main floor toilet ran all the time, oven element was cracked so didn’t work, lady bugs everywhere inside, door to outside from master bedroom was wide open when we arrived so leaves etc in bedroom. Only half of the kitchen lights worked rest were burnt out! the sliding door didn’t lock and the main light in the master bathroom was burned out too. Cabin could definitely use some TLC!!
