Kingfisher ~ Riverfront cabin with play set, hot tub, kayaks, and river access
The Kingfisher is one of the few cabins in the area located directly on the banks of the beautiful Mountain Fork River. It is an 1,100 sq ft cabin which will sleep up to 9 guests, but also perfect for smaller groups and even couples. Enjoy a peaceful getaway while overlooking the cool, clear water of Mountain Fork River. Leave your busy lives behind and get out in nature!
OUR FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT KINGFISHER - the views and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy them - hot tub with river views, but secluded in the corner of the property - fire pit with firewood provided - horseshoe pits and corn hole boards - sleeping loft that the kiddos love - large bank with plenty of room for fishing - kayaks for on-site use
LIVING AREA The small living area is open to the kitchen. It has a gas fireplace for the colder months (disconnected during summer months). There's one couch and one recliner in the living area to enjoy the large smart TV with cable or log into your own streaming services.
KITCHEN The fully stocked kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals including all the small appliances like a toaster, blender and crock pot. There's also an ice machine in the pantry so you'll have plenty of ice! All cookware, bakeware, and dishware is stocked as well as cleaning supplies so just pack your food. The coffee pot is a regular drip coffee maker. We'll supply basic coffee supplies. Outside is the park style BBQ grill. Don't forget your charcoal.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The master off the living room has a queen bed, smart TV, patio doors leading to the hot tub and its own ensuite with a shower. The second downstairs queen bedroom also has a TV and a back door to the side yard and playset. The third sleeping area is the open loft. It is accessed via a ship's ladder. You'll find a queen and twin upstairs. That's also where we store plenty of board games for family game night. If you need to sleep a couple more kids, the sofa in the living area is a pullout sleeper. Linens are provided.
LAUNDRY A new full size stackable washer and dryer are located in a closet in the second bedroom. We'll leave you laundry detergent and bleach. There's also an iron and ironing board, if needed.
LOCAL ATTRACTIONS Several restaurants and shops are located a quick 15-minute drive to downtown Broken Bow. Our area also has two golf courses, one at Cedar Creek at the lake and one at Idabel Country Club, both about 25 minutes away. Up north in Hochatown (about a 20-25 minute drive) you'll find a ton of dining options, hiking, shopping, go carts, rentals for ATVs and jeeps and boats, a petting zoo and safari, fishing guides, bowling and zip lines. There are also several wineries and breweries to visit. Want to relax? Contact one of our local spas or get an in-cabin massage from one of our area's traveling therapists. We also have the Red River Museum in Idabel and the wildlife museum in Hochatown. For longer float options, we have several kayak rentals in our area. One of which is Wild Goose Kayak Rentals, located just a couple minutes from the cabin.
PETS Kingfisher is pet friendly for up to two dogs with a $100 pet fee. Please don't forget to include your pets in the reservation.
RIVER ACCESS Yes, you can swim and fish in the river! There are also kayaks for you to use on site. The water is the perfect depth to enjoy swimming or a floatie! However, the river level does fluctuate depending on the release schedule of the Corp of Engineers. We have no way to predict the water levels. The release is dependent upon the amount of rain we receive and how much electricity needs to be produced. The lowest levels are generally in July and August.
RULES Please read the rental agreement carefully. It basically states you won’t sue us and the pet fee will be deducted from your security deposit if you don’t pay it. The security deposit is a hold placed on the credit card on file, not an actual charge. It will be released after your check out when no damage is caused to the property. The security deposit for Kingfisher is $300.
We hope to welcome you soon and share our beautiful river and hospitality with you!

Great Fall Break on the River
Our family of 4 had a fantastic stay at the cabin. Beds were comfy, cabin and outside was clean, hot tub was great, and kayaks were fun for a paddle on the river. We enjoyed the s’more supplies provided at the fire pit each night. Kids loved the loft and playground area. Can’t wait to come back in summer to enjoy the river more!
All I can say is WOW! Great communication from host/property manager from beginning to end. The cabin is amazing and practically has everything (except food and beverage) and you won't want or need to leave. Beautiful property outside the cabin as well. Definitely recommend and will come back! PS: The smores ingredients were a nice touch!

Hi and we apologize that you thought there were two lofts in this cabin instead of just the one that is plainly explained in the description and photos with the sleeping arrangements having its own section so guests know exactly how many beds are in the cabin. We immediately offered to give a full refund on your arrival (against our policies) so you could find a larger cabin elsewhere, but you declined stating that you did not want to pay for a larger cabin somewhere else and you would just make do. So we feel the low stars are undeserved since it was not our error and lack of reading that resulted in you assuming more beds and bedrooms should be available. We did however give you a 5 star rating as a guest.

We loved our stay in the Kingfisher Cabin! It was incredible being right on the river and having kayaks to use on site! The cabin was clean, and they had everything we needed to make s’mores waiting on us, including the firewood! We will definitely rent from them again!

About the host
Hosted by Mt Fork Management
Hi! We are the property managers for these cabins on the river. We are locals that have lived here our entire lives and hope to help you enjoy our area with the perfect cabin for your getaway to Mt Fork River.
Why they chose this property
Most people will choose either the Kingfisher or the Grandview cabins, which comprise River Top Cabins, due to two unique factors: they are on the water with access to the Mt Fork River and there are very few surrounding cabins.
What makes this property unique
The river decks are what separate River Top Cabins from other rentals. Both cabins have their own decks, allowing swimming, fishing, and kayaking from your cabin with your own private access to the clear river. Both cabins also have their own fire pits and hot tubs. Horseshoe pits have been installed in the common area between the cabins.
