The house's theme: an old rustic Mexican type of villa, or more typically known as ¨Hacienda¨. It´s a perfect spot to just forget about everything since it´s only you and the jungle of Nogalito. The only noise you´ll have 24/7 will be brought to you for free by mother nature.
This Hacienda was built around 50 years ago. Before Mimmo Lorusso bought the property—owner of the house and of an amazing Italian restaurant at the old town of Puerto Vallarta (Olas Altas)—with his envision and hard work, he spent more than a couple of years remodeling, painting, building and designing what would later become as Hacienda Tabachines. "Tabachines" is a tree that grows in Mexico, as well as in other parts of the world. Also known as flamboyán, it blooms red flowers and it usually grows to a size of 8 meters. A beautiful tree that is a delight to watch when it blooms. Mimmo has also collected art and collectible pieces to decorate the Hacienda, which have given the house an antique and vintage look.
Mimmo's idea of moving to a house immersed in the jungle was to be apart from town, and really from society, I feel like when you wake up in Hacienda Tabachines, it´s just you, your mind, your body and the whole earth, there´s nothing that can get compared to this relaxing experience. Being immersed in the jungle, where you wake up with the singing of birds and the freshness of the tropical mornings deep in the jungle, it´s just fabulous. Privacy becomes a huge commodity when staying at Hacienda Tabachines. There's neighbor's on both sides of the house. Both come from European backgrounds (French and German), as well as Mimmo, who's Italian. Even though they all consider themselves more Mexican than European.
The main house has a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, as well as a shared bathroom for both rooms and a terrace, this area of the house has a professional HomeTheater sound system so you can enjoy your favorite tunes with the birds singing in the back, you can connect easily through Bluetooth and play your favorite tunes.
The Hacienda has a lot of green areas with diverse types of plants and trees, which give the house a freshness and aliveness of itself. Mimmo owns an amazing and friendly dog, Negro, a German shepherd, who will be kind and playful in your stay at the Hacienda. He usually will be doing his thing around the house, or playing outside, near the river.
Tiny geckos and other insects make there home in and around the property, and all over Mexico.
