This property is a very good value, especially for a large family. We had 6 adults and 4 kids. We all enjoyed the beautiful location. The surroundings were very peaceful. Close proximity to Mesa Verde National Park.
Family group of 3 generations (age 20+ to 90+) had the perfect lodging and dining accomodations for our SW Colorado family reunion. Perfect location to take in Mesa Verde, Ancient Canyonlands and mtn towns of Telluride thru Durango.
This was perfect to take a few days to recover from our backpacking trip and to visit Mesa Verde with our kids. We had a large kitchen to cook and 2 tables to fit our crowd. The kids loved the game room. We had space to spread out and relax. Thank you!
This property was perfect for our family gathering. It was clean & comfortable. We did have an jssue with the kitchen sink not draining, but the host was quick to respond & fixed it by the time we returned later. The kids ages 2-12 all loved playing in the rec/game room.
This was a great find for our family of 9 adults and 2 young children. It put us in the middle of the sights we wanted to go to and was relaxing when we were chilling at home. The tire swing was a hit with my granddaughter and the lawn games were enjoyed by all. The hosts were easy to communicate with and our stayed was excellent.
We had a great golf outing in the Cortez area. The VRBO worked out great for us. There were seven adults and we had plenty of room. Our host for the four days, Jacob, did a great job of meeting our needs. The setting is absolutely stunning and the deer greeted us on the lawn every morning.
This lodge was a beautiful place to stay. There was a beautiful view from the front porch with deer in the hayfields and on the front lawn with fawns. There was a beautiful view of sleeping Ute mountain. It was quiet and peaceful, and a great central location. The house was clean with lots of room. The Hoffman’s were very helpful and friendly, including jump starting our car as we were getting ready to check out. JanElle was very helpful when we called for information. There were even a couple items that weren’t in the kitchen that she found for us before we got there. Loved every minute of our stay!
After staying here a week, we do not feel comfortable recommending it. We did not find out it was only a 5 bedroom until 10 days before check in. We rented this place with the understanding, because it was advertised as, a 6 bedroom. The homeowners did change the listing, but it was a major inconvenience for us.
We had issues with privacy too. The game room looks directly into the kitchen & dining areas, with no window coverings. Renters in the Four Corners Retreat can look in. Which is what happened to us. We were told coverings had been ordered, so maybe this won’t be an issue in the future.
We also had problems with the cleaning crew. They showed up to clean another rental unit (this place is essentially an apartment complex), and they walked right into our rental. No knocking, just opened the door & walked in. They continued to walk about & rummage through the house, while we looked on, until they found what they were looking for.
The owners are responsive, and apologized for our issues. Hopefully they can get these things we dealt with resolved, because the Mountain View Retreat portion is large, and the views are beautiful.

Beautiful Location!
This is a five star property except for the communication from the property manager. A few days before we were due to arrive but far too late to cancel and get a full refund, we were told that there were other permanent residents on the property. While we were there, we saw many people come and go without knowing if they were supposed to be there. There were a group of men working on a broken down pick up truck in the driveway most of the week. Their vocabulary made being outside a little R rated for my kids and they were there early in the morning until late at night. We also walked in one day to doors open and unlocked. Come to find out, it was a maid cleaning the other residences. Needless to say, it freaked us out. All of these things should be disclosed before the purchase so we can make an educated decision about staying there - especially with children. At the very least the property manager should warn us when a maid would be there.
All of that said, the place was super spacious for the 9 of us - we never felt crowded or cramped. We loved that we could divide up into our own little spaces with bedrooms, sitting rooms and TVs - even our own mini fridges. My kids loved the game room and we spent hours playing ping pong and foosball. Aside from the swearing truck guys, the place was quiet and the scenery was breathtaking. We even had nearly daily visits from several deer.
Our Group of 4 couples of 65+ had a wonderful stay. There is plenty of parking for our 3 vehicles, 2 trailers, and 3 trike motorcycles. A wonderful view every day of deer in the farm fields off of the front porch. (Take your binoculars too). Very nice spacious, quiet agriculture type Neiborhood.
An older home with lots of improvements over the years to update it. Clean and comfortable. For a mid-summer stay I could see some future improvements to air conditioning.
When I texted Tod the owner, he was very responsive and helpful. We do trips to Colorado and Utah every two years and this home is one that we will return and stay again.

We live here, but needed a spot for overflow guests attending a family reunion. It was nice to feel confident that their stay was as restful and relaxing as possible!
The house fit all 14 of us well. It was centrally located so we could see everything South Western Colorado has to offer.
Definitely recommend staying here.
Our group comprised my husband and I, our daughter and her 4 kids, and our son, his girlfriend and his 4 kids. This home accommodated each family with a private bath, sleeping areas, and a sitting area. The views are stunning and this home was the perfect base for our activities in the area. We’ve already promoted it to extended family and friends. We’ll be back!
We enjoyed our stay. It is conveniently located to Mesa Verde National Park. We had plenty of room for our family. The property is beautiful. We enjoyed watching the deer every evening and our grandkids loved the tire swing. Our hosts were very accommodating. Thank you for hosting our family.
What a quiet and friendly place to stay. We were surprised at the space and awesome set up of the house, the open space outdoors and the closeness to town.
