Villa La Selva is your private tropical oasis. A modern open-air shaded poolside lounge enables the ultimate in tropical indoor-outdoor living. A heated jacuzzi flowing into the infinity edge pool allows you to enjoy the villa day and night. Clean modern lines flow through the kitchen into a beautiful wooden dining table, setting the scene for memorable meals (we highly recommend a night of catering from the team at Pura Vida Catering its a must do!)
We can provide you with private chef bookings, massage therapy appointments, spa appointments, tours and more. Just ask and we can usually make it happen.
Golf cart, bicycles, tee times, private chef, massage, spa, and tours booked separately after rental agreement is complete.
At Villa la Selva our aim is to give you the luxurious hotel feel in a private home setting. We provide daily housekeeping services Monday through Saturday with your rental. Our housekeeper is also available for breakfast service. We can work into a schedule that fits your groups needs and we are on call 24/7
Here in Hacienda Pinilla, a golf cart is a great way to explore the 4500-acre ranch. It's the best way to see the wildlife and monkeys on your way to and from the beach club, Marriott hotel or other amenities.

There is a VERY STRICT no-noise policy outside between 10p-6a. This is not the house to host a party or event. This home is great for groups of adults and families who respect the neighbors and rules of the community. If you plan to bring a big group to have a party, or large event, or make excessive noise, please reserve another property as the noise will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave without a refund.***

BEACH CLUB
As of Jan 1st , 2023 we have a corporate beach club membership for our guests to enjoy the exclusive Hacienda Pinilla beach club membership.

Beachfront infinity pool, tiki bar and restaurant, spa, soccer and volleyball courts, fitness center, and sun up to sun down the lifeguarded beach at Playa Avellanas. There is a $10 entry fee per person that is then used as credit at the bar and restaurant.
Beach Club has an annual closing in October every year.

JW MARRIOTT HOTEL
Hacienda Pinilla is home to the J W Marriott hotel, as a guest of Villa la Selva you have access to the numerous restaurants on offer.
You can also purchase a day pass for use of the JW pool and amenities.

Explore the 4500-acre ranch that is Hacienda Pinilla. Guided horseback tours are available at any time, the tours can be customized to fit your group from 30 mins to 2 hrs the ride takes you through the forest and then along the secluded beaches and river mouths all here within the ranch.

MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAILS
There are both Amateur and pro trails
The pro trails are 30 km running all throughout the ranch
The amateur trails are 15 km
These trails are also great for hiking and exploring the 4500 acres.

SURFING
Hacienda Pinilla has to be one of the best locations in Costa Rica to base your surf trip. With 6 different waves just on Playa Avellanas alone and private access to the beach breaks of Playa Langosta you don't even need to leave the ranch, but if you looking to explore the area, the famous Playa Negra reef breaks are just 10 minutes south and the river mouth and beach breaks of Tamarindo just 10 minutes to the north.
All of the internal spaces are air-conditioned with individual units allowing you customize your cooling throughout the home.

Villa La Selva has 4 bedrooms and is set up for 11 guests, all of the bedrooms have custom made beds with local wood creating a great style and vibe throughout.

Built in the exclusive gated community of Hacienda Pinilla’s Reserva de Golf you will have access to the incredible amenities here within Hacienda Pinilla.
You can get around by renting a car, renting our golf cart, renting bicycles, hiring a shuttle or taxi. Tamarindo, with its shopping, dining and nightlife is just 15 minutes away. The Daniel Oduber International Airport in the town of Liberia just an hour away.
Hacienda Pinilla offers a free shuttle within the throughout the community during the peak season holidays. It runs every 30 minutes and requires notice 15 minutes ahead of your pick up time.
There is a medical clinic within the Hacienda Pinilla community.
