About this property

Amelia Island Condo 3bd/2.5ba-Close to beach, pool & Main Beach. Family friendly

Our condo is located in Fernandina Shores condominium complex on the North End of the island. The North End is less crowded so you are guaranteed a front row spot on the beach. It is 200 steps door to sand. It is about a 10 minute walk to Main Beach where there is a playground for children, putt putt, skate park, basketball court, restaurants, and lifeguards. Historic Fort Clinch is within a mile of the condo. It is a great spot to catch a view of the lighthouse, wildlife, take a jog, or go on a bicycle ride. Fort Clinch is one of the most well preserved forts in the United States and includes tours and, on the first weekend of the month, live reenactments.

We have renovated the entire condo. The large living area has a 65” Ultra HD Smart TV with a Roku attached for you to stream all the latest apps. The master bedroom and 1 of 2 spare bedrooms incudes a 43” 4k Ultra HD TV. Wifi is included as well as keyless entry so you do not need to worry about keeping up with a key while relaxing at the beach or pool. We have installed a whole home water softening system. You are able to drink water from the sink so you no longer need bottled water thereby decreasing your footprint on the earth. Your hair and skin feel great! We installed new decking on the back porch as well as installed an outdoor shower.

Just down the road on 14th street is a fishing dock and a kayak/boat launch. The condo complex has boat/RV parking with advanced notice. Egans Creek Greenway Trail is within a mile of the condo and offers miles of bike trails and untouched nature appeal.
Don't forget the Historic Downtown area of Fernandina Beach, which is 3 miles from the condo. It has many restaurants, shops, pubs and much more. You could spend days here without seeing everything. There is a ferry service from St. Mary’s, Georgia if you choose to see Cumberland Island for the day.
Soggy Bottoms offers all you need for a relaxing family vacation. The pool and tennis courts, which are 30 yards from the back door are available for your use. We have beach chairs, toys and a few rafts for your use. The condo is very quiet so NO PARTIES and be respectful. We have owned this property for almost 20 years. We have worked very hard so please treat it like you would treat your own home.
Florida and county taxes are collected.
The property is protected with a ring doorbell camera in the front.
PLEASE NOTE: pool and tennis courts are not available March 2026 per HOA due to construction.

The location was very nice with a short walk up the street to the beach and an easy drive to downtown. The beach was full of amazing shells, and it was very nice that the condo had beach chairs available. The condo was very family friendly with lots of space, games and puzzles. The space was fairly clean with a lovely kitchen.

This was a PERFECT spot for our family trip. The property was clean and well-stocked, and the host was very communicative. We had a wonderful time walking to the beach to find shark teeth and shells and biking into the park or into town. Perfect spot for a quiet family trip.

Just steps away from the beach and equipped with beach toys, rafts, and boards. My husband, teen daughter, and 9 year old boy had a fantastic vacation and this was the perfect place to stay! We would book it again ! Amelia Island is so beautiful !

Great time

My family flew in to visit with our oldest son who is stationed in Kings Bay! We had a great time hanging out the beach and enjoying some drinks at Sandbar while our 11 year old enjoyed playing in the sand. The house was perfect for the 5 of us. We had my MIL who also flew in to enjoy time with us! It was absolutely an amazing week!

We had a great stay. Easy walk to the beach, which was never too crowded and beautiful! Condo was clean and comfortable. Appreciated the wagon, beach toys and beach chairs. Our only note- the steps were a bit steep for our 2 & 5 year old- wish there was a baby gate for evenings for safety. Thank you!

Amazing Condo!!!

Amazing stay! Beds are super comfy, great water pressure, fully stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, water filter was a huge good surprise! Location is pretty nice-would love to be able to see the ocean. But walk was easy peasy. Manager very pleasant and helpful. Cleaning crew could put a better eye on things but overall very happy!! Worth every penny!

Girls Trip

The condo was great! Very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Very short walk to the beach where we rented beach chairs and umbrellas. Short drive to downtown where we ate dinner and shopped. I would highly recommend staying here and hope to visit again. We had six ladies and were very comfortable and felt very safe. The pool was conveniently located near the unit.

Great Place to Stay

We enjoyed our stay in this townhome. It was clean, fully stocked, and easy access to the beach. The outdoor shower was wonderful for rinsing sand away and the enclosed back deck provided good storage for our beach stuff. The host was very responsive to our questions about the property and we had no issues during our stay. When we booked, we didn’t realize all bedrooms were upstairs. This was a concern with a toddler, but we purchased a portable gate and it turned out OK. The complex was very family friendly and we would recommend this property as a great place to stay!

This property is close to the beach, clean and in a great neighborhood. We had an issue with the door and the neighbor came right over to help us. We loved having the back door with shower. We went over memorial weekend and it wasn't crowded. The owners had a book of places to eat, things to do and rent. With their reviews and we loved that. Couldn't of asked for a better place to stay.

Not a good fit for us

A "tired" property. Linens and cookware need to be replaced with new. Needed a deep cleaning. Difficult for anyone with mobility challenges: main bathtub extremely slick and with out any rubber bathmat; nose on stairs made it easy to trip; no ground level area to sit outdoors and enjoy the fresh air. Probably fine for young families. Location was great for us. We enjoyed Fort Clinch Park and historic downtown Fernandina very much.

Amazing Place to Stay for Young Family

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Soggy Bottoms! Ashley went above and beyond to care for us during a critical transition for our family. We stayed at the condo more than 2 weeks as we adjusted to life with our newborn son! We travelled with our 2 daughters and they loved the kids table, the pool noodles/toys in the shed, drawing with the crayons and paper. We felt so welcome with lots of littles. The pack n play and toddler bed rail were so helpful! Ashley was a wonderful communicator and would immediately respond to any questions we had. The kitchen was so well stocked! Plenty of shower towels, hand towels, sheets, and beach towels. We enjoyed all the different chairs, floats, sand toys and the beach wagon in the shed! The foot shower and full outdoor shower were so great for getting sand off after the beach. This condo was in a quiet area, very clean, lots of friendly neighbors and a very short walk for our kids to get to the beach. The pool was used daily for our family! Another bonus was the water softener! Great clean water to drink. Close to the grocery stores and a 5 minute drive to the historic downtown with many shops and fun restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!
