18th Century riverfront getaway with Heated Salt-water Pool
Don't miss your chance to rent this one of a kind eco-chic getaway on the Pamet River with heated salt water pool.
Ivy covered old cedar fences give the two acre lot the feeling of complete peaceful privacy.
The landscaping is well-cared for and 100% organically tended. The wild black raspberries are as bountiful in July as the blackberries are in August. There are, cherries, grapes and apples to enjoy as well in their own seasons.
You can catch a Glimpse of the Pamet River from the upstairs bedrooms. Walk down a private path to the river for a stroll. Or paddle through the meandering tidal river at high tide by kayak or stand up paddle (2 of each provided)
We also can provide bikes, or bring your own because it’s a short bike ride to Ballston Beach on the ocean side or Corn Hill Beach on the bay, and a few prestige kettle ponds we can tell you about along the way.
And when you get back home, you can rinse off the beach sand in the luxurious outdoor rain shower.
You are a short walk from Blackfish, the highest rated restaurant on the outer cape, truro’s farmers market every Monday, James country store, or Castle Hill center for the arts.
It’s just a 10 minutes drive to the colorful shops and nightlife of Provincetown or the picturesquely quaint Wellfleet center.
The house itself dates back to the 1700s and was thought to have been floated across Cape Cod Bay and up the Pamet river to its current perch. Over the years, it was renovated and added onto including a recent high end update to the the kitchen and master bathroom.
In our first year renting (2019), we purchased all new mattresses and high quality all-natural fiber bedding for your comfort.
We use natural and reclaimed materials throughout the house and property whenever possible, and a 7.1kwh solar panel array tucked away on a secondary roof keeps the the lights running and the a/c on when you need it without burning fossil fuels.

this is a beautiful and tasteful compound close and convenient to everything but with quiet privacy.
House is loaded with conveniences including bedding , towels , quality cookware, games , outdoor boating , and more
Zachary was available , friendly and responsive to all needs.. Will rent again
The entire family had a great stay. The young adventurers love boating and SUP boards on the Pamet River (just down a short path from the house). Everyone enjoyed the pool. The older folks appreciated the old, but updated and well-kept house, down to the creaky floorboards. The house had a comfy-old-house feel, surrounded by beautiful landscaping. Zach supplied a coffee grinder upon request. Our lighthouse seekers found several with a short drive. We had the choice of the ocean beach (Ballston) or a bay beach ( (Corn Hill). We watched the Provincetown July 4 fireworks from Corn Hill Beach. When not cooking at home, there were endless great restaurants nearby in Provincetown and Wellfleet. One of the best meals came from Blackfish, a half- mile from the house. Tunns out to be one of my favorite vacation rentals.
The house was wonderful. We enjoyed the pool as well as the kayaking and paddle boating. We had one small issue at the house and the owner took care of it right away. It is a perfect spot for a family and the location is great
Our family had a truly exceptional stay & experience. Zac and Gabrielle are wonderful hosts. Communication before and during was great - they very responsive and went out of their way to make sure that everything was perfect. Comfortable, charming and well appointed house for relaxing, serving as basecamp for outdoor adventures and sharing quality time in a lovely setting with family/friends.
We spent a wonderful week at this property. It’s very well located and extremely well equipped with beach towels, umbrellas, beach chairs, bicycles and kayaks. The pool was great. The kitchen is well equipped, the knives are sharp, the lighting is good. Zac was extremely prompt in communicating and answering all our questions. Highly recommend.
We have been renting in the Wellfleet/Truro area for over 30 years and this was the best rental we have yet encountered. The house has lots of character, feels like a home, has fabulous amenities, a gorgeous setting, and was entirely comfortable for our family of 8+1 (four couples and one baby). The kitchen was well stocked for a family that enjoys cooking. Zachary is an amazing host -- quick to respond to any and every inquiry and concern. We cannot wait to come back! Thank you so much for generously sharing your gorgous home with us!
All of our family (7 yrs to 78 yrs old) loved staying at this paradise by the sea. Our grandkids were in the pool, paddle boarding on the marsh, or playing games on the deck, when we were not at one of the beautiful ocean or bay beaches. The hosts paid careful attention to details both in restoration and in amenities. All kinds of water equipment was provided along with bikes and beach chairs. Mattresses were very comfortable, kitchen was stocked for all kinds of gourmet cooking, and ac was available, which we fortunately did not need. Zac and Gabrielle were super hosts and always available for any of our questions. This is a rare find. A large lovely house on a marsh in Truro, with a salt water pool, where old and young are happy. We hope to return next year.
Zac’s house in Truro is a perfect summer getaway. The house is beautiful with plenty of room for the whole family and a pool which is rare on the Cape. River access with kayaks an extra bonus. Ther is lots of room in the house to hang out. The beds are super comfortable with nice linens. Zac is so nice and accommodating. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
This home is magical and kept with the utmost love and care. Zachary was such a lovely host, so kind and thoughtful and available at a moments notice. The pool was perfect for wearing out our young kids, and the house is plenty large enough to host several families or a large extended family. We can’t wait to return!
This was the best stocked Cape rental we have ever had - they think if everything to make you comfortable. The large flowing house, great big outdoor table and deck, huge pool, river access and kayaks, gorgeous outdoor shower, expansive grounds, and great beaches only minutes away made for just a perfect stay. The hosts were very communicative and super responsive to issues. Our best Truro vacation yet.
Lovely historic home with high quality renovations (kitchen is excellent and very well supplied). The photos actually don't quite do justice to how lovely the grounds are. Your proximity to the river makes for stunning walks at any time and really fun kayaking at high tide. Best outdoor shower we've ever seen, a lovely pool and the outbuildings are very well supplied for your beach or pond visits.
We dealt with Zac who was friendly, helpful and very responsive. We had an amazing two weeks -- even accounting for two hurricanes coming through, Henri and Ida. We had a great time on our own and when we hosted friends towards the end of or visit, the house was excellent for a larger number too.
Thank you Zac!
House is a great setup with all the amenities you need! Right on the river, close to bay and ocean beaches and has a pool. Couldn’t ask for anything more!
House is lovely - all of the charm of its history maintained but nicely modernized (great kitchen, bathrooms etc). Property is private, gorgeous in terms of landscaping and scenery and patio and pool, and so nice to be able to kayak from the.property at high tide. Close to Corn Hill Beach and.many of the amazing ponds and Ballston Beach. Owners were very accommodating and helpful and thoughtful as to what helps make a vacation.
This home is on a terrific location, only a mile or two from the bayside and maybe two from the ocean. The owners have provided access to kayaks and SUPs that can be used on the inlet that borders their property. Great fun. The house is great, with a salt water pool that is amazing. Would go back in a heartbeat.
We could not have been happier with our time here! The house was big, lovely, and fully stocked (best short term rental kitchen I’ve ever seen!). We walked down to the river daily, paddled frequently, loved walking to Jams for breakfast, and spent time in the Truro and Outer Cape locations we love. The only think that would cause me to hold back praise is I want it to be available for us next autumn!
Zac and his family provided us with a memorable vacation in Truro. Apple Valley had everything we needed to accommodate our family for the week that we stayed. We enjoyed the deck, outdoor shower, indoor spaces, and salt water pool so much, that we only ventured out to the seashore twice! Zac was incredibly easy to communicate with, although we have never met, I consider him a friend. He helped me make our family vacation as special as it was by sharing this unique property with us.
Fun fun fun in a beautiful , peaceful ,private setting
The river being right there only added to the wonder.
We enjoyed kayaking out high tide.
The kitchen is awesome we loved cooking at home. The deck off the kitchen was a nice place for breakfast....
Thoroughly enjoyed the salt pool!!
with a salt pool and a lovely and spacious house...totally equipped with everything you could need...you can't go wrong. The location on the Pamet river only adds to the natural beauty! The owners are gracious and helpful!
Our family vacation was very enjoyable. The house was nice and had everything you would or could need. Zac and Gabrielle were amazing host/property managers! My family and I would rent this home again and again. You can tell there is a ton of love in this house.
The property was outstanding and the house had everything we needed and more. Our 3 small boys loved the pool and the heated aspect meant they could swim anytime. The close proximity to the river allowed for a quick 30 second walk to the kayaks and some fishing. We will be back for sure!
