About this property

Ghost Canyon Getaway 2b2bth

Beautiful quiet getaway in the Black Hills, located only 10 minutes from Custer State Park, 25 minutes from Mt Rushmore, 35 minutes from Rapid City, SD. Lots of hiking, fishing, wild life and beautiful country. Guided horse back rides offered by J & F Tails and Trails next to the property.

Our two bedroom/two bath unit sleeps 9 comfortably, up to 10 if you really like each other and one person doesn’t mind sleeping on the couch.

The master bedroom has a queen bed and private bathroom with a shower.

The second bedroom has two beds, a double bed and a bunk bed, with a double bed on the bottom and twin on top. The second bathroom is located off of the family room.

The family room has two couches, one is a double sleeper sofa. There is a fireplace and a kitchen. The unit does have a stove and oven in it and there are plenty of options for cooking. The kitchen has a kitchen table, microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster, sink, and outside BBQ with a side burner. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, silverware, plates, pans and utensils for cooking if you want to cook in instead of eating out.

The unit has heat and air conditioning, free internet, and satellite TV. We provide bed linens, towels, and kitchen utensils. The rooms are cleaned when you check out and a one-time cleaning fee is charged. If you need additional towels or bed linens during your stay, just let us know.

The property has a fire pit for all guests enjoyment and a basketball hoop for the kids to burn off their energy.

What an adorable cabin that we called our home base for our trip. Mandy was so great with communication and it was the perfect space for our family of 4. We have a teenager and preteen so having space for them was essential. Being so close to Custer State park was great too. We would stay here again.

Well-appointed and comfortable cabin in a beautiful, peaceful setting. It accommodated our group of five friends beautifully and was centrally located to all the sights we wanted to see. We enjoyed our stay on our way home from visiting Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore. The cabin was in a nice quiet area away from the crowds. We enjoyed watching the horses, deer and rabbits from the patio. The cabin was clean and comfortable and the snack basket provided a was a nice addition from the owners.

Great place secluded I was on my Harley even though the road us gravel we had very little trouble getting in and out. The owners are great and the room was awesome. Great views with plenty of wildlife to see. Owners were super nice and they even let us feed their horses. Located in the middle of everything, so most drives were less then 30 minutes. Would stay again.

What a great spot to stay. Centrally located in the region that can sleep plenty and so many amenities. The host was very easy to communicate with and the property was amazing. What a list of amenities….fire pit, volley ball, corn hole, the list keeps going. Located just about in the middle between Rapid City and Mt. Rushmore. We had such a blast and would love to stay here again.

We loved staying at Ghost Canyon Getaway! Our host, Mandy, was the best- great communication and super kind (she spent an hour of her time one morning helping us get our keys out of the locked rental car). The rental was clean and well stocked. The beds were super comfortable (the kids and my husband all said it was the best sleep we had on our trip). The location is perfect for visiting all around Black Hills. If we ever travel to South Dakota again, we will definitely stay here again!
