🎣 Hideaway at Hawkins offers the PERFECT getaway on one of the clearest, most beautiful, spring-fed lakes in Texas!! Just steps away from the lake shore, come take in beautiful sunsets, fish, swim, boat, or just relax on the back deck or front porch. Our firepit near the water is also a fun gathering spot for roasting marshmallows or hotdogs!! Whether you're looking for a spot for a couple's getaway, a family gathering or a friend's trip, our cabin is all you need for a fun and memorable stay. The Wood County beach and swim area offers a fun place to spend an afternoon and is just a couple of miles from our property on Lake Hawkins. They do charge a nominal day use fee. Our master bedroom has a comfy king bed, en suite half-bath, dresser and full washer and dryer closet. There is also a queen sleeper sofa with memory foam mattress (NOT an uncomfortable sleeper with bars poking through!) You'll find everything you need in the kitchen including a microwave and coffee bar (K-cups included!) If you prefer to cook your own meals, take advantage of the crockpot or full set of pots & pans. A GAS GRILL is also available on the back deck. The white bead board walls and ceilings, along with rustic barn doors, solid wood countertops and fun décor offer a quaint farmhouse feel. Dining for 6, a writing desk, a flat screen TV and DVD player as well as Wi-Fi provide some of the comforts of home. The back deck is a great place to grill burgers or steaks and gather for a meal or drinks to take in all that the peaceful, forest-like surroundings provide. The lake is also home to a great Italian restaurant, A Taste of Italy, as well as The Shiver Shack (snow cones & ice cream), Snack Shack and R & C Beverage Mart and Bait Shop. Come see why Lake Hawkins is called the best kept secret in East Texas!! If you love boating or fishing, there's a private covered dock to tie up to or to fish from, just across the street, directly in front of the cabin. A public swim beach at Lake Hawkins County Park is down the road, just a couple of minutes away. Take a stroll or bike ride along the beautiful, scenic, winding road that lines the lake... great photo ops along the way!! Do you love antique shopping and visiting fun restaurants and junk stores? The towns of Mineola and Gladewater are just 15-20 min in either direction on Hwy 80 and Canton is just a 45 min. drive. Jefferson, Longview and Tyler are also nearby. Come check out these fun towns as well as other attractions in the area! Whether for a weekend or a week, Hideaway at Hawkins won't disappoint. If interested in renting a PONTOON BOAT during your stay, please contact Tony Garner at (903)387-9944 for availability and pricing. Any rental or agreements will be strictly between the guest and the boat owner. We, as owners of the property, are just providing the contact info.

*NOTE - Check-out is 11:00am. Our housekeeping crew works on a tight schedule, especially on days with back-to-back reservations. Respecting this check-out time is greatly appreciated! A 15 minute grace period will be allowed for unforseen circumstances. Any late check-out past that time will be assessed a $5 charge for every 5 minutes past 11:15am. Please let the property owners know asap if there are unforseen circumstances or an emergency situation which causes a late departure.

*NOTE - The home offers Wi-fi/internet service through fiber optics with Spectrum. Guests please contact owners with any issues. Modem and router on kitchen bar should both have blue lights. Cell phone reception (calling & texting) depends on carrier and generally works best by setting phones to Wi-fi Calling during your stay.

*FYI: During the spring, summer & fall months please know our lawn service will be by to mow the front yard and lakeshore area. He will be on and off the property quickly.
