The place was perfect for a couple size wise, had what you needed for a long weekend, and was in the mountains but not too far from town/stores, which was nice. Would recommend!
this was our second time staying at the baby bear hideaway and it fit all of our needs. very clean, and convinient, and reasonable price. it is only about a 20 minute drive from pigeon forge, the host is very quick at responding she even let us check in 2 hours earlier for our convenience. we definitely recommend if coming to gatlinburg!
We had a great time while here for Slammed Enuff 2025. The views are beautiful and the small community here within this little top of the mountain complex are incredibly nice. Highly reccommend to anyone trying to get away while also being up at the top of a mountain.
High up beautiful views on the drive going and returning little porch will a little view good enough. Close access for attractions. The No way Jose restaurant no thank you there are a lot better restaurants with a lot better service around.
We enjoyed our stay here! It was the perfect size, clean and quiet with nice views. It was a great home base for taking in the sights and hiking in the park. We even saw a bear while driving down the mountain one morning. Gigi was great and easy to work with and the apartment had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
We had a wonderful stay at the Baby Bear! It was clean and had a wonderful view. We saw a few bears on the way up the mountain which was really cool. At night we could see Jupiter, Saturn, and the Milky Way! My kids loved it.

Thank you - it is a very special place for us. We especially love sleeping in the window alcove and seeing the stars at night. Glad your family got to enjoy it!
Had a great time , wonderful host. Seen a bear both days driving up the mountain. And yes you are staying on the tip top of the mountain, drives beautiful up and down , but it is a mountain road so its slow going and steep and curvy but not a bad drive , takes 20 mins to get to PF and 15 or so to GB. Love it thanks again GIGI
We had a short stay but was a quiet and relaxing area. Had breakfast on the balcony with a nice view. The view from the bed is also nice. Bed was comfortable. Place was clean and efficient. Door dash and pizza gets delivered up that high too :) I would stay here again for sure.

It is a perfect getaway for couples - but still cozy enough for 4 guests.
Small but nice place. Would not recommend for more than 2 adults. Bed was pretty small. The location was nice to be away from the crowds. Is on the second level of three, so we heard the people above us.
Lovely and cozy little condo at the top of Ober Mountain. The unit is as described and the views of the Smoky Mountains are stunning. Gigi is very quick to respond to any and all questions/concerns. We would absolutely stay here again.
We came to Gatlinburg to explore and hike. Only slept at the condo, room is comfy and clean. Location was good for us, about 10 min drive away from the city up on the mountain. Beware of the bears, they do come up to look for food by the trash bin. We saw 4 on the parking lot.

We do not guarantee bear sightings - but they live and roam around freely in the Smoky Mountains along with other wildlife. Always be aware of your surroundings and do not feed or interact with the bears.

This is a very quiet peaceful mountain-top community. We cannot control the behavior of other guests - especially during Spring Break.

Why they chose this property
In early 2016 we took a self-planned vacation to High Chalet - this exact complex - and we fell in love with the area. We can't retire yet - but we plan to settle down in the Great Smoky Mountains soon - and this is our first step into paradise. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
What makes this property unique
This hideaway in the mountains is very special - surrounded by majestic mountains and fluffy clouds - wildlife all around. You can hike right from your front door or just to the nearby picnic tables and enjoy the fresh air and nature at its best.
