Welcome to our spacious, family-friendly lakefront lodge—set on an elevated 3-acre lot with panoramic views and your very own private island for campfires under the stars. This is the ideal place to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the best that Michigan’s four seasons have to offer.
Summer on the Lake
Relax on the large deck overlooking the water or kick back on the private sandy beach. Kids of all ages will love the shallow swim area, playground with a large swing set and slide, and evening s’mores around the island fire pit (firewood provided!).

All 9 bedrooms feature two queen beds and private bathrooms—ideal for large families or groups. Linens and bath towels are provided (bring your own beach towels).

Outdoor Beauty & Wildlife
We’re just a few miles from one of the Top 10 mountain biking trails in the U.S., recognized by Men’s Journal—plus miles of riding in the Pigeon River Forest.
Our location feels remote in the best way—quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. It’s not uncommon to see eagles soaring above the lake, hear coyotes at night, listen to elk bugling in the distance, or wake to the call of the loons.
This is a special place to share with family and friends—spacious, scenic, and serene enough that you can truly hear yourself think.

About the host

Why they chose this property
This is a cozy Lakeside Cottage hidden 10 minutes off I-75. Just enjoy the Day at the all sports lake with the family. We offer six kayaks, and there is a public launch if you decide to bring or rent a watercraft. Kids like to search and catch frogs and turtles, or just jump off the dock and swim with a raft. Our goal is to make sure you are as happy and as comfortable on your summer vacation.
What makes this property unique
Perfectly located to visit near by towns, like Petoskey, Gaylord, Mackinac and Rodgers City are all roughly 30 minutes drive if you want to get out and explore the Northern tip of MI. Indian river is a 10 minute drive if you want to rent virtually any kind of outdoor utility vehicle or water craft. When you are done exploring you can come back to the quite lake of Wildwood and listen to the Loons calling and enjoy the sunset view. Cap of the evening with a bon-fire while staring at an umbrella of twinkling Northern stars when the moon is away.
