Great Experience

I had a wonderful stay at this property in Ocho Rios. The space was very clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described. The location is convenient — just a short walk to the beach and close to restaurants, shops, and local attractions. Communication with the host was excellent; they were quick to respond and very helpful throughout my stay. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Ocho Rios, it’s a comfortable, convenient and overall great place to stay.

Photos Need Updating

Overall we were pleased with the property, but the photos online must be at least 5 or 6 years old because everything was much more "worn" than what is shown, which was disappointing.There are four buildings with multiple apartments in this complex, some of which are owner-occupied and some of which are available to rent, as we did. All of the buildings are in need of new paint and sprucing up. The pool was out of commission the whole time we were there, and even though we stayed for three weeks, we were only offered maid service twice. On the plus side, the apartment is very close to the beach, the staffers we met were all very friendly and helpful, and we were within walking distance of two supermarkets a drug store, and other retail businesses, and several good restaurants.The manager was very attentive and promptly handled any requests we made, and the maids did do a great job when they came. Although we didn't really use it much, we noted that the kitchen was well-stocked with everything to make one feel at home.

The studio apartment was very clean and look just like the pictures

Location location

Turtle Towers in Ocho Rios or Ochi as the locals call it, provides an atmosphere that is overall very friendly with helpful hosts who were at our disposal the few times they were needed. The apartment was walking distance from the beach and other attractions such as Dunn’s River Falls, the cruise ship port, and Mystic Mountain. If you rather take a taxi to Dunns River or Mystic Mountain cost is 100.00 Jamaican dollars = about $1.00 USA. Ask the lobby person of the apartment and they will point where to take the taxi. There are also good restaurants surrounding the area like Ocean’s Eleven near Fisherman’s point and an ice-cream place called Scoops located in Island Village. Tour organizations like Chukka, for example are readily available for pick up and drop off in front of the apartment’s main gates (after booking). For money exchange, Nancy’s Cambio is around the corner in a near by plaza, it is also close to Scotia bank with a small ATM stall for withdrawals in both US and Jamaican dollars. If you feel like eating in, there is a grocery store a few blocks from the apartment that is stocked full of tasty treats and everything from rum cakes to shampoo. Transportation from the airport to the apartment (and vice versa) is also easy to come by and economical, via the Knutsford Express. If you are in the mood to walk, everything is pretty much within walking distance, attractions included, most are about 15 to 30 minutes from the building. Highly Recommend staying in this apartment.
