Relax on the covered lanai, surrounded by tropical beauty, with views of Hanalei Bay to the north and Namolokama Mountain’s waterfalls to the south. Whether you’re sipping morning coffee, sharing laughs after a beach day, or watching rainbows and sunsets, it’s island living at its best.

The location of this property was great, just off the beach and about a 10 minute walk from the downtown shops and restaurants. The property was a great fit for 3 couples and the covered porch was in use most of the time. All amenities in the house and kitchen were available.

Perfect for us! Wish we hadn’t booked another place and would’ve preferred staying here… best location, accommodations ideal for us. The cottage was perfect for our daughter and her fiancé! Beds comfortable too! Best value on the beach!!!

Great property management group as very easy to work with. Breath of fresh air. The property had everything you need for a great stay. We had fun. This is nitpicking and my only suggestion and I let the property managers know but I would add glass Tupperware and replace little one time use plastic shampoos and lotions w refillable containers. Thanks!

Our busy family took the time to reconnect. We remembered how much fun we have together!

Everyone had the best time! We cooked together, laughed, played games, had long leisurely breakfasts and relaxed. The runners in the group ran in paradise, some of the gang surfed. We all enjoyed the primo location. Thank you for providing the beach stuff! Everyone arrived with laptops, earbuds... totally wired for work. When it was time to head home, everyone had achieved the ‘Aloha’ state of mind!

Beautiful Location

Our extended family had a wonderful time. The location is perfect -- just steps away from the beach. Sitting on the lanai you can see the beach, the ocean, and the green, waterfall-festooned mountains. There are beach chairs, beach towels, and an umbrella available along with fins, a cooler and more to make beach play fun. Guest should be prepared for very warm bedrooms at night. I would suggest that the management supply stronger fans. Other than that, everything was amazing. We loved it.

Of note, the cleaning and prep of the small guest cottage left something to be desired. Upon arrival, the counters were dirty, and the foor and rug were grimey. The curtains were stained and dirty-looking. Unfortunate, because that was special occasion for the couple staying there.

Hanalei Bay is paradise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is located near the parking lot and adjacent to side road, so you hear cars. But right in center of the bay. Easy to get into town and get to each river on either side of bay. Loved the bicycles provided and all the beach toys, like boogie boards. No A/C, but the location and waterfall views make up for it. Ocean is farther than it looks in pictures, but home is beach front, as just a grass park area between you and the sand. Enjoyed feeding the birds and paddle-boarding the bay and rivers. Garden is lush with awapuhi, plumeria and star fruit.

Perfect design for comfort

House was really beautiful and located right on beach. Loved the porch! Spent all my time at house on porch. Easy walk to town. Felt very secluded with exception of a few beach issues. Two drugged/drunk people in middle of night screaming their heads off. Called police on one to return her to nearby condo-she was in bad shape. The other incident drunk guy left with friend. I guess that's part of the ideal location. Loved the north shore. Loved outdoor shower. The landscaping was amazing on house. We had a family reunion here with all ages. Half of group stayed over in Princeville, so it was convenient. Would stay again. Thanks for water play equipment. We left an extra boogie board and sand toys for others to use. We miss this home already. Thank you for sharing!

Location...location...

This house was unanimously the best part of our trip to Kauai. Staying right on Hanalei Bay was delightful, and the house has an authentically Hawaiian feel to it. The good: Strolls to the beach with a cup of coffee in the morning, dinners on the most excellent patio while watching the sun set over the water, strolls on the beach at night. No hassle to play on the beach all day. The patio has two picture-postcard views: ocean to one side, mountains to the other. House and cottage were spacious and clean, with very soft towels. The large beds were very comfortable (twin beds were like rocks though). Sweet gecko chirps everywhere. The outdoor shower was fabulous...we used it a lot!!! Property management was super responsive and friendly. The bad (but not dealbreakers): No A/C so it was hot inside the house during the day; it cooled off at night though. Loads of mosquitoes hampered most nighttime activities on the patio. Kitchen needs new sauté pans and knives, so bring your own if you like to cook. Noise and traffic on the adjacent beach access parking was annoying (but not as bad as I'd thought: the occasional extended late-night conversations between beachgoers standing right outside the windows was the worst of it). We would definitely stay here again, but only after the area recovers a bit more from the floods last spring. Kuhio Highway is still closed to all but local and emergency traffic...sadly, there was no driving the lovely road to Ke'e beach. The flooding also resulted in a dearth of fresh local fish...our favorite fish market (the Dolphin in Hanalei) is closed indefinitely, and the one in Kilauea has only a tiny selection.

We enjoyed hearing that you enjoyed the property, the location, the amenities and the service provided by the Property Management Team! Yes, the temperature during the summer months can heat up, we hope that you utilized the ceiling fans to help air flow and opened up to help as well. A quick dip in the ocean just steps away always helps as well. =) . For the mosquitos, yes, they are pesky! We suggest using a repellant. Thank you for bringing to our attention the knives and pans as we are looking into replacing them. We hope that you are able to return soon to enjoy this wonderful vacation home and hope that the roads to Ke'e beach will be open by then. The Dolphin Restaurant should be up and running as well. The house itself had fairly lower grade amenities for the price point (ex: toaster didn’t work, washer/dryer are all rusty, place hasn’t been deep cleaned under beds and other areas where you could see noticeable build up).Overall, the location and management were excellent. Just not the usual high quality cleanliness and items provided for that high of a nightly rate is all. But we were there to be feet fromThe amazing beach so it was not a huge deal to us in the grand scheme of things.
