Location of the Carriage House at 21 East Battery St. (across from Charleston Harbor) is in the historic residential area of the city.
The roomy interiors of the Carriage House have original beamed ceilings, heart-pine floors and a second-floor balcony. Original exposed brick walls. Furnishings include attractive antiques as well as comfortable couches and luxury bedding for a restful Charleston stay. With a California king sized bed in the former hayloft, the carriage house is ideal for one couple and can also accommodate a second couple (willing to share the bathroom) with a queen sized sleeper sofa in the large upstairs sitting room. Free WIFI, Xfinity cable television, Stereo system,

Additional Charge of $75 per person for more than two adults or children over the age of 13. Maximum adult occupancy is 4. Parties, events and gatherings of ANY type are not permitted. Short term rental permit does not allow this activity in this residential area.

Carriage House Accommodations include:
Kitchenette pre-stocked with continental breakfast items, coffee and tea. Central heating and air conditioning. Baby Grand Piano. Daily housekeeping service including trash removal. Complimentary off street parking is available for ONE car or small SUV. Oversized vans or trucks will not fit.

We loved this property. Beautiful, historic, and classic Charleston. Comfortable and decorated wonderfully. Very easy to get to, and so nice to have parking on site. Close to all the best parts of downtown Charleston! We enjoyed breakfast each morning and appreciated Julie’s helpfulness. Highly recommend!!

Amazing place!! Great location where we could walk almost anywhere. Julie was the BEST host! Her bakery items and egg dishes were out of this world. Charleston is such a wonderful place to stay and there are shops galore, nearby the carriage house. You have your own private parking at the carriage house and Julia the manager is an amazing person to work with! She made breakfast for us every morning and left it in the little refrigerator. We had a cheese and egg casserole! She left banana bread and blueberry muffins always kept us in coffee… And she even tidied up the carriage house every day for us! I loved it so much

This is a lovely historical place to stay with lots of charm and room to enjoy. It’s also super great for walking to all the local downtown shops and restaurants but the true star of the place is Julie the hostess. She was so warm and welcoming and provided the best breakfast and baked good each day! She was wonderful!

Let me just start by saying Julie is amazing and so are her blue berry muffins! Quiet spot, walking distance to king st for shopping and restaurants. Carriage house is a good size. Beautiful architecturally. Bed and pillow were very comfortable. And surprised how big the shower was. Wonderful stay!

More than we expected. Large comfortable living space and very clean. “Walkability” from this property is amazing. Dozens of quality restaurants, stores and the Charleston Market all within a 20 minute casual stroll up E Bay. Views along the Battery were breathtaking. As a host, Julie was amazing. Very attentive, and provided a lot of local information and history. She provided home baked goods each day when she came to tidy up the property. We definitely would look into staying again in future trips to Charleston.
